Should destroyed Lacy hang up his gloves or continues his pro run? I guess that it should be clear to all now that he will never be a world beater but he could still make some money as a gatekeeper or journey man.

nah he could still be a force at smw 21-1 is still a decent record so he will never be a journeyman
No he should not. He got beaten by a man who was underrated,a hall of famer and world class fighter,no shame in that. Calzaghe would have smacked anyone in the division that night, even Kessler. If Joe moves up, I still see Lacy beating anyone else in the division,he just needs to be there mentally because a beating like that can take away from self belief.
I think Harrison should give up before Lacy.
Jeff just needs decent people with common sense, I think calzaghe would be too much for him no matter but under someone telling him hes not the next coming of Iron Mike Tyson (I cant believe Shaw actualy said that ::**) Then he might do something.
Having said about the Tyson thing it wouldnt be a bad idea to see what Rooney could do with him, Birmingham sure as hell doesnt have a clue.
You cant argue that Birmingham is the reason for Winkys success because Winky has a very basic style, Vargas beat him, Vasquez battered him and I think Taylor is going to be too big for him
no ::**
He showed great heart during the calzaghe fight, Id like to see more of him.
No Kessler fan he should not.Quote:

Fighters have been beaten & knocked & made comebacks. Lacy was only beaten...surely he did suffer by being outclassed...but 168 is pretty much wide open if he steps away from Kessler.
The loss could have been the best thing for Lacy. As Calzaghe himself said...Lacy is a talent & he will comeback. All credit to Joe...that performance was masterful...but he was in another zone mentally. 150% focused...Joe was incredible.
Lacy just lost his game once he realized that his power wasn't taking Joe out. Had Lacy worked on his defense...he might have had a chance. It's not like he never connected on Joe. I just watched it this morning before work & Lacy was showing spots...especially in the first round where I thought he was going to do a lot better than I initially thought...but again...he lost his game plan once he cracked Joe & Joe stayed in front of him.
Joe never gave him an inch of room & when he did...when he was back pedaling...he was popping Jeff.
Lacy will come back...but he better never take a rematch with Joe...defense improved or not.
:coolclick: Very well said.Quote:

Joe Calzaghe exposes a lot of fighters and can make anyone look like they don't belong in the same ring with him, Lacy was one of those people. Losing to Joe Calzaghe is nothing to be ashamed of, and Lacy could learn more from that loss to make him a better fighter then he would have if he had knocked out Joe.
What Joe did to Lacy actually gives Lacy a better chance in the future of the best to expect which will make him more prepared, had he never tasted Joe Calzaghe, he may have never gotten further then the Lacy we saw against Wiggins.
no he shouldnt retire at all, one loss to a great fighter is nothin to retire over.
He had never tasted P4P #1 before :)Quote:

No way should Left Hook retire....He just needs to work his way back up to the top and gain more confidence before fighting for another belt. He was just overated before hand now he can work with no media pressure on his shoulders.
Neither had Calzaghe. ;DQuote:
