is it true some boxers wear sponges on their hands when training and if so what are they like?. ???

Plain old everyday sponges. Because sometimes your hands hurt real bad.

what do you do cut them up or something?

some guys cut them to fit over their knuckles then fix them there using wraps and tape. just to absorb some of the shock that the knuckles get from punching :)

i never used sponges, just never thought about it

I read that Ali used to use "feminine hygiene products" between his fingers and back over the knuckles, under his gloves.
