Re: Ricky Hatton May lose
to be honest if ricky loses i will be very surprised....im fully expecting a hatton victory, though it may very well go the distance...a tricky fight for sure, but hatton at this stage is not gonna slip up...i just dont see it...
Re: Ricky Hatton May lose
i think hattons camp would have scouted collazo and left nothing to chance. but never seen collazo fight so you never know. Iwould expect ricky to come through cos he has bigger fish to fry
Re: Ricky Hatton May lose
This guy can't bang, for starters he is no World Champ i have seen his last three fights, he aint nothing special, he won the belt on two weeks notice which give him tremendous props for but he has fought no one near the same class as Ricky Hatton, this guy cant bang he is very light fisted, Hatton will wear him down 6/7 TKO.
Re: Ricky Hatton May lose
yeah 12 kos isnt much. thats why I fancy ricky to do it
Re: Ricky Hatton May lose
i never realised ricky had such trouble with southpaws. Dya think old "super ::**" Zab could trouble him being a slick southpaw?? ???

I think a 100% Judah for 12 rounds could be a difficult fight for Ricky, but Judah wouldnt know what to do with Ricky Hatton after 5 rounds in my opinion.
Re: Ricky Hatton May lose
All you Hatton fans are going to go nuts over this statement...but here goes:
The best thing for Hatton...as far as what American fans see...would be Hatton getting dropped.
If Hatton get's dropped, get's up, & turns the droppage around & guts it out then knocking Collazo out...he'd be the next best thing to Gatti...& we all know how Americans love Gatti & his Rocky-esque image.
Hatton could very well land loads of fans if he get's up off the canvas & turns it into a war.
Think about it.

I did, and it's not the best thing for Hatton to do "career" wise, USA wise but not "career wise" othrwise he becomes another Morales.

Ricky Hatton has ONLY EVER LOST TO SOUTHPAWS! He had three legit losses in the amateurs - his first-ever loss came against a southpaw in the 1993 Junior ABA final, and he lost when he moved up to welterweight in 1996 against southpaw Jurgen Brahmer (lost twice to Brahmer in his only two fights at welterweight, Brahmer beat him in one round the first time). His amateur record is 76-4 because of a loss to a Russian fighter in Cuba at the Junior World's but that is considered the worst robbery in amateur boxing of the last 10 years, so that doesn't count. So his three legit losses in the amateurs were to southpaws.
Brahmer was a 5ft11 light-middleweight in reality, and Ricky has struggled with other tall fighters apart from Brahmer.. like when he was almost stopped against Gilbert Quiros in Detroit in his 20th pro fight in 2000, because Quiros was a tall fighter who had fought at light-middleweight - same with Collazo!
Ricky got dropped against southpaw Eamonn Magee in the first minute of the first round, and it was an awkward, close fight.
So there you go, just some food for thought.
Collazo is a southpaw who likes to turn, throw a combo and then repeat.
This will give Hatton loads of problems with his footwork and the way he angles himself up.
When Hatton comes in I see Collazo throwing a combo before Hatton gets close enough and then turning and repeating.
Collazo is no big puncher though, he just likes to out slick you.
You may recall that he fought against Miguel Angel Gonzalez on the Rahman vs. Barret undercard.
This will be an interesting fight.
