Who Can Cintron Tango With?

Who of the top welters do you see Cintro being competitive and quite possible beating?

Two people that I think would give him a hell of a time are PBF and Hatton.

The way Estrada was able to get inside and punish him made me cringe at the thought of what Hatton might do to him.

PBF I think would be too slick, coming in and out, or even sticking in the pocket, brushing Cintron's right hands off with his shoulder and retaliating with one of his own. I don't think Cintron's big right uppercut would be a factor with PBF at all... although PBF does sometimes lunge with that right hand a little too much.

Margarito... well my money would be on Margarito based on the first destruction of Cintron.

Judah... I see Judah outboxing him, but if Cintron lands that right hand on Judah watch out. And what do ya know, the straight right hand is the southpaw killer.

De La Hoya if he came down... I have to see how he's doing when he fights Mayorga. Undecided.

I basically see Cintron as a really good gate keeper. You wanna tango with the big boys, you gotta pass Cintron. I don't see him being a significant part of the big picture.

Although... what if Baldomir beats Gatti, and then takes on Cintron... uh ooooh lol....

Agree with most of your alanalysis but personally,I think Judah would get hit by one of Cintron's bombs and if he did,I think it would be lights out. I do not envisage a time where Zab is fully focussed for 12 rounds.
I think Cintron would beat up Gatti/Baldomir and I agree,I think Hatton would beat him up and Lil Floyd would dance his way to victory.

Nah, Judah would easily beat Cintron.. Estrada almost had him.. Zab would only need to be focused for a few rounds, and he could KO Kermit or stop him.. Estrada isn't anywhere near as good a puncher as Zab Judah, and obviously nowhere near the speed or technique, and still look how many times he hurt Kermit or had a good chance to finish him... I wasn't really that impressed at all with Cintron... I mean it was an exciting fight, great TV... But estrada was just charging in sloppily and having all the success in the world. I don't see him beating anyone THAT good, to be honest. THe only thing is I was impressed with how Cintron took shots and stayed focused when he was in trouble a couple times, that's one thing he didn't show against Margarito... But estrada doesnt hit anywhere near as hard or as often.. Did anyone hear after Cintron won some idiot in his corner was yelling "Margarito, lets go again.. I got the money, he'll knock you out... blah blah.." Lets hope he takes another couple fights like this one and doesn't step right back in the mix.. IMO that fight was a great learning experience for him, or any fighter.. Estrada is a good test who can teach you a few things about handling pressure, which I think he did Cintron.

I just think that if Cintron landed on Zab,it could be lights out and I don't see Zab stopping him early,if he did stop(which he is capable of)it would probably be late.Estrada made Cintreon look bad getting inside,I don't see Zab as an inside fighter. The thing about Cintron is if all else fails,he has that equaliser:the power. Ahahah,that is such a foolish move to call out Margarito,especially after his ass was handed to him on a plate. No point in Tony fighting him again,he would probably end his career the second time!

Yeah i agree with you that Cintron definetly would have the power to KO Zab if he landed, but Zab also has alot of power, WAY more than Estrada, so he could KO Cintron as well. THe thing is I think Judah would land the big shots first, because he is alot better defensively than Cintron, and his overall skills are just way better. He could win it in the first 4 or 5 rounds.. If Cintron was still around after that then yeah it could be trouble but I just think Judah is alot better as a fighter.. I wasn't trying to say Judah would fight on the inside because Estrada did, just saying that Estrada was able to land easily by just charging in, Cintron rarely made him pay for getting past the jab... And Judah would have the shorter arms and is the smaller man, so he could just go in and unload, imo.

I agree with most of your pointS(what the heck is going on?! ;D ) but I see Zab as a naturally unfocused guy and it is a character trait evident in a lot of his fights. I can see Cintron hurting him early,Zab running for the rest of the fight BUT I totally agree with you,Zab is overall more skilled and IF he stayed focussed,then yeah I guess you're right he would most likely win.

Why does everyone say Zab is so powerful? He hasn't ko'd a credible opponent. He's EXTREMELY overrated in the power department. Baldomir WALKED thru everything he threw.

I really don't know if Spinks is credible or not, but Zab did KO him.

Spinks was exhausted. Partially due to his ridiculous ring entrance with Nelly. Spinks danced for 15 minutes prior to getting in the ring and getting ko'd in the 10th round. And the fight was stopped, more of a TKO from eating several punches. Zab didn't put him out cold.
