I want to know who you guys think will win and why??
Freitas is going to knock him out, ive seen Raheem almost knocked out by a bum in one of his earlier fights. His chin is far from granite and Freitas is the man to test it whether he wins or losses.
I hope your right as I am a big fan of Popo until he met someone I liked even more...Chico Corrales! The problem is...has Freitas recovered? I have yet to see his last few fights since he has been back so can anyone fill me in? He needs to stop swinging like a wild man! I don't know much about Raheem except Rocky Juarez beat him up and his chin is questionable. I know he beat EM but honestly,EM was poor that night and said Raheem kept running away!!! Shows how prepared he was for that fight so I will reserve judgment on him. Freitas can crack so if Raheem has a poor chin,I'd say Freitas KO late and if Freitas loses,it could be the end for him! By the way, what weight is this fight??
They are fighting at lightweight for the WBO crown
Freitas should win. I like his chances.
Rocky Juarez did not, "beat him up".. I thought the decision was BS, besides Raheem was clearly weight drained at feather, and the ref took off almost 5 points in that fight, 3 of them were very very questionable, imo.. Raheem deserved to win that fight even though he was shit on that night.. And Juarez lost to some unknown next, now MAB is going to KO him ;).. But anyways this fight should be a good one, I pick Raheem to outbox him but his chin is a factor, and it hasn't been tested against this kind of puncher. Also Morales may have not prepared fully for Raheem, but if you watch the fight, it's also just a style nightmare for Morales, he is very clearly beat to the punch every time.. I don't think he could have ever beat Raheem on that night, being the bigger man.. And yeah that was funny Morales' post fight comments, he said something like "he didn't want to fight me, he just kept running".. I think Morales is lucky to have not faced more pure boxers as he clearly has realy issues with them, but that's just imo.
In this case the boxer will beat the puncher easily. I see Freitas in a different light now after he quit in the Corrales fight, i am not saying thats why he is going to lose but i have to also question his heart and desire.
Didn't Juarez knock him down a few times too?? As for Morales not fighting more boxers, well he used to be more of a boxer himself, then he thought he could KO everyone and went to war. He used to be a great great boxer puncher type and I think at his peak,he could beat Raheem. I have also heard that Raheem has been down 2-3 times earlier in his career, have not seen it myself though.Quote:

The ref robbed Raheem that night. Juarez only got the knockdown point because Raheem took a knee because his legs were shot from the weight loss and that was in round 3. He took every other shot Juarez was able to land(and juarez only landed a few).
Raheem has a good chin. Morales hit him with some hard right hands Raheem took well.
Naw,did not get to see the fight....Still The_One said he was almost knocked out by a bum and I have heard he has been down quite a few times, surely not always due to the weight?
He was not ready and it was early in his career. Look at the times Freitas has been dropped. And it wasn't all the time by big punchers. And it was at the lower weights as well. Many fighters go down early in their career and turn out to have good chins. Raheem was a prospect when he was dropped and when it came down to the big moments his chin stood up, but Freitas has to hit him, and the trouble Popo had with anyone who boxed him he is in trouble. Raheem is a better puncher and faster and throws straighter punches then Barrios ;)
Raheem caught Morales on a bad night. He's not that good. Freitas should knock him out.
Baldomir caught Judah on a bad night ;)
Hatton caught Tszyu on a bad night.
Whenever a fighter fights down to his opponent its a "bad" night.
it's a fighters fault if they underestimate an opponent and Morales didn't underestimate Raheem. Raheem's style just frustrated Morales because for the first time in a long time a guy wouldn't stand in front of him and give him a target ;)
Raheem is the real deal, but he oonly beat Morales so badly because Morales simply isn't a lightweight. Raheem had a style that was bad for Morales anyways, even more so considering Morales being out of shape, slower and fighting a bigger man.
The interesting part of this fight is that both guys use a good bit of lateral movement. Raheem is better teachnically, but I'm almost certain he hasn't seen anyone like Freitas, defeintely not on this level. Raheem does have a questionable abilty to take a punch and as does Freitas...but I think we'll all agree that Freitas has a advantage in the power department.
I pick Freitas to get a tko victory in the 10th of a very competetive fight.
Freitas has been dropped by guys like Chico Corrales and Jorge Barrios and Raheem is not anywhere near as big a puncher as them is he? And anyway, look at what he did too Barrios when he got back up!
cc,that was EXACTLY my prediction,Freitas late,I have not seen Raheem enough but there would not be this much indifference about him if he was the real deal I guess and also,is he really slick enough to avoid contact for the whole 12 rounds given that Freitas has the lateral movement too. Freitas will be no stationary target either and combine that with the power and I think he will winQuote:
