Oscar robs Quartey once again.
But hats off to Lampley and Manuel Steward for seeing the truth.
I guese Oscar's pull with the judges is equalling Don King's.

Yeah blame Oscar I like it!

Re: Oscar robs Quartey once again.
Ike Quartey was robbed! He won that fight and he won it clearly!!
-
Re: Oscar robs Quartey once again.
I saw Quartey get beat tonight. Quartey has a jab only. Forrest landed the much harder punches, hurting Quartey to the body on several occasions. Forrest really looked sharp to have been off for a year which shows Quartey to look even more impudent.
Lampley should be off the program. Calling for the retirement of Gatti and others, he fell short in calling for the retirement of either fighter tonight since his cohorts really gave him some strange looks last week. I think he suffers from dellusions of gradeur and knows far too little about the fight game to make any serious statements concerning the winner or loser. Quartey would best go back to Africa. He's a poor loser and overrated in my book.

i agree with you completely. lots of times us viewers follow too much of what the commentors say. they kept saying ike looks stronger and throwing harder shots. which was true on most part but forrest definitely landed cleaner shots. most of ikes punches were slap shots. nothing clean. sure he was the busier fighter but when's the last time that actually meant anything. it was very close fight but i dont think ike got robbed. it could've gone either way

I turned off the commentators because they were so ON FORREST'S SACK! So I watched the rest of the fight muted. And Quartey won.

UH NO!!!!!!!!!!! I watched it in the bar with no commentarty Forrest was hitting gloves and elbows most of the night....Not to mention he was piss poor inaccurate Quartey was Fuked and Hard....

Re: Oscar robs Quartey once again.
I give that to Vernon Forest becuase, obviously Quartey only knows how to throw jabs. Vernon threw many different punches not just jabs.
-
Re: Oscar robs Quartey once again.
Ike definately got robbed, but you all need to stop with this bullsh!t that Oscar is now fixing fights. I don't know why people can't understand that most judges in boxing simply suck.

I have seen Oscar's fighters get robbed as well but I recently posted the same thing against Don King in the Luis Perez-Dimitri Kirilov fight. It seems to me that when a promoter has several fighters on a card the judges always happen to really "suck" in the close fights and especially when forriegn fighters are involved.
It may be that judges just can not resist giving a few "browny points" (pun intended) to secure favourable positions with the fat rats of boxing.
I can't put my finger exactly on it but I definately sence a rat.

Re: Oscar robs Quartey once again.
You have to know little to know nothing about boxing to think anything other than Ike Quartey got ROBBED BIG TIME TONIGHT! That was an appalling decision and a stain on boxing. Forrest looked nearly shot tonight and should hang em up b4 he gets hurt. Ike won 7-8 outta 10 rounds. What a damn disgrace...

I already cc you so can't give you another, but your right again. Ike deserved to win, I feel sorry for him for getting done like that.

YOU MUST HAVE BEEN WATCHING SOME FIGHT FROM ANOTHER COUNTRY OR SOMETHING......
Q was not getting hurt, as a matter of fact, this is the best I have seen from Q in a while....
Vernon had alot of problems trying to even avoid some of the punches that Q was throwing at him....Most of the time looking very amateurish in the ring with his movement and decision making....
Q clearly had the fight on my card, even Forrest fans knew it afterwards....
Go back to your Tivo and be sure the description of the fight was with Quartey and Forrest.....Then see if you can find a rerun of the fight and really watch it...
Good luck to you my friend(drops quarter in "Blind Cup"),
Coach

Re: Oscar robs Quartey once again.
Damn, I just watched this fight. Wow, Quartey got raped on the scorecards. That's fucking ridiculous, I was thinking, with the low blow, there's no possible way Quartey will lose. Forrest even knew it, he didn't even celebrate, he KNEW he lost. Wow, shit like this makes me wanna stop watching boxing, damn I felt really bad for Quartey, he was absolutely stunned. It fucking sad.
-
Re: Oscar robs Quartey once again.
Quartey is becoming the new Whitaker win it comes to popularity from the judges, that's the third time he has been robbed
1. A win turned into a draw a week later
2. Robbery against you know who
3. Forrest, why would he be robbed against Forrest? Those judges should be banned

I guese you do not believe Oscar had anything to do with the final scores of the Juarez-Barrera fight either where two judges' scorecards were doctored, changing the final round from a 10-9 score in favor of Juarez, into a 10-10 round, thus crucially favoring Barrera.
Maybe your on board with some of Oscar's online gaming orgs

Maybe you're an idiot who doesn't understand the concept of common sense. Oscar himself felt he was duped by Don King in the Trinidad fight and once said boxing will be back only when Don King and Bob Arum are dead. Oscar's alot of things but he's not a cheater.

I know Forrest threw 800 + punches and a large percentage of them were whiffers or they were blocked.

I do pity your sheltered and naïve existences but it has inspired me to expose the fact that this great boxer may also be a great cheater.
Here Oscar cheated his manager Shelly Finkel after he had given Oscar $100,000 to care for his dying mother. http://www.businessweek.com/magazine...2/b3946099.htm
Although Arum is more than likely untrustworthy he was extremely loyal to Oscar but Oscar cheated him as well http://www.presstelegram.com/morales/ci_3619703
Here you will see that Oscar was offered to host the Contender show and then decided to just make his own cheap copy and then also rip off his show’s advisor in the process .http://www.nsu.newschool.edu/immediacy/suzanne.htm
Here Oscar settled out of court and admitted to being with over 500 woman in a short period of time and was probably cheating.
http://findarticles.com/p/articles/m...6/ai_n10473021
And I am sure Oscar’s five months of abstinence in Puerto Rico prior to the Mayorga fight and weeks alone meditating on his yacht off the coast of Puerto Rico was all in “good faith”

Proof? Well it has only been proven once that Don King had fixed fights but has it stopped people from protesting him. The fact the Oscar has big time connections with online gambling orgs and being a control freak makes him more suspicious to me.
Actually though I think down deep Oscar probably has a good heart but is playing in a corrupt and temptuous world the only way he knows how. I just wonder what most of us would be like if we had what he has.

No relenting! curse him, curse him, curse him.!
;D Curse him INDEED!!! Fuker just had to come in good shape and beat Mayorga didn't he? Son of a bitch! Mayorga may have lost but least he has never had a sexual encounter with another man, less he initiated it behind bars, which is also doubtful, and something I don't care to think about. I swear that Oscar is a phony lil bitch. Much like SRL we never have nor will seen the REAL Oscar. Only after he loses a fight do we get a glimpse into his black little heart. The bisexual, temper tantrum throwing lil bastard!!!

Re: Oscar robs Quartey once again.
Well some of you say that these ignorant judges were innocently picked out and just all happened to see the fight the same way but I and many others say that bad judging is more of a money thing.
Some people have just adapted an awareness for fraud and corruption and also a fight versus your flight mentality.

Re: Oscar robs Quartey once again.
The decision was bad no question about it, but blaming Oscar is just about as pointless as blaming Forrest, I agreee something is not right with that kinda scoring but Oscar is innocent here.

Re: Oscar robs Quartey once again.
Oscar probably is innocent, of this charge. The way I see it, Dibella is the one to be looking more closely at. I dont trust the worm period. I wouldn't be surprised if he set Quartey up to lose himself. He is a freak of nature and a sheister. He fixed the Hopkins Taylor fights thats for sure, the first one at least.

You might be right, he didn't even seem to give a sh*t that Quartey had been robbed, what an a**
