I am against most of the opinions on the board as I think this will be an incredibly close fight.Quote:

OK here's what happens
#1 Oscar can move as well so PBF will have to be on the bicycle a lot better than he was vs Baldomir...if he gets trapped against the ropes and catches a left hook from ODH it's OVER
#2 One can see that unlike RJJ or Mosley, Floyd's combinations aren't the best in the world...he can't "shine shoes" like those guys
#3 Oscar has power, speed, size, strength, and the chin to absolutely lay the smack down on Floyd
#4 This is at 154....
Good Night Mayweather!
Oscar KO 9th rd with that huge left hook 8)
Its a tough fight for Floyd, Oscar is as big and strong as Baldomir but unlike Baldy he can actually box, is quick, slick has a great chin and a wicked left hook.
If Floyd wins this one he deserves respect even if Oscar is past his best, after all he's still 10 years younger than Hopkins and Holyfield.
i voted floyd sd but could go either way its hard to outbox oscar really its going go down to the wire floyd has great skills though could maybe be bit like whitaker vs oscar but with mayweather getting the nod
I wouldn't be suprised if Floyd gets legitimately dropped in this fight. Maybe we will finally get to see if he has a chin or not! I still vote PBF by SD. I really give a lot of credit to DLH for making/taking this fight...mayweather has the ability to make anyone look bad!
I can't wait for this! Im even thinking about getting my broke-college-ass out there to see it! That would be a crazy ass time. Vegas or LA on cinco de mayo, tons of booze, copious amounts of yayo, gorgeous vegas/LA sluts abound, party atmosphere, and the best friggin fight I can imagine!
i chose draw because i aint got a clue. de la hoya has the advantage because its a higher weight but we wont know how much of an advantage it is until the fight
odh by knockout (left hook from the heavens). Thats what i want to happen but its more likely that Mayweather will dodge and weave his way to a SD or UD.
mayweather wil stop odlh late on. mark my words.
I really really really just do not know who to pick. This has got to be one of the hardest decisions in terms of boxing match ups. I mean Floyd is undoubtably better P4P right now, but Oscar is bigger and better then anyone Floyd has ever faced. God it's such a close decision.
...OK, they have been marked and you have been labled CRAZYQuote:

Oscar got stopped by BERNARD HOPKINS....at MIDDLEWEIGHT, yet a guy who breaks his hands in pretty much every fight and doesn't have a power punch is going to KO a guy Vargas couldn't KO, Trinidad couldn't KO, Chavez couldn't KO, Mosley couldn't KO.....it's idiotic but you're entitled to your opinion
You tell them bro.Quote:

btw don't be knockin Winnona Ryder man! I'd do sh*t to her that would get me arrested :bananasex: I dont blame her for that pill induced stealing spree...I'd just give her my own form of "captial punishment" :bananastyle:
I'd like to get some scissor in them hands...f yeah ;D
mayweather by a boring (but dominating ;)) ud
where are all the haters who were crying about "floyds scared to take a big fight.""?
See, I agree with Floyd by decision...but oscar is going to effectively chase ans corner him at TIMES (only at times) this will make it exciting and you know oscar is going to be fighting with all his heart...5th of may AND he seems awfully excited and pumped about this fight...if he finds a way to beat mayweather I will respect him greatly.Quote:

This is pretty much what I think ... Floyd will slick his way to a points victory. Not that it will be easy for him to do so.Quote:

oscar is going to lose this one and lose it bad.
Besides looking spectacular against Mayorga(who doesn't when they stop him)
He doesn't have enough to beat Mayweather.
This is the same Oscar who got peppered with straights from Felix Sturm, the same Oscar who settled for trying to steal rounds from Hopkins, the same Oscar who couldn't stop any of Shane Mosley's shots.
I don't think Oscar is going to beat Floyd, he looked great against Mayorga, but Mayorga is no Floyd. Baldomir looked great against Gatti but when he fought Mayweather he looked ordinary and was dfowngraded to journeyman status.
Oscar still has a name and can knock out sub par opponents, but when he fights the very best in Mayweather he'll get beaten. Show credit where its due when it happens please. Just like I would to Oscar if he won.
He had enough to take it to Hopkins for a while....he had enough to take punches from Trinidad....he had enough to take it to Whittaker who I think was A LOT better than Floyd....and he could stand and brawl with Mosley
Oscar has more than a good chance to beat PBF
is this assuming the Oscar of 9 years ago will show up?Quote:

I don't think Floyd would have to hurt him to beat him to be honest. I think Floyd can outbox him though
oscar ko 10
Floyd can't hurt him that's one of the points I was making...it takes away one more way to win.Quote:

I'm not saying there is no reason to have the fight...I'm just saying I like Oscar's chances as opposed to Floyd's previous competition.
are you assuming Floyd can fight at Light Middleweight like he does at Welter? trust me facing Gatti, Mitchell, Judah and Baldomir at Welterweight isn't the same as standing opposite even TODAY'S VERSION of Oscar Dela Hoya at 154. ;)Quote:

The only time I saw Oscar pudgy and unprepared in a fight was against Sturm. Not that Sturm doesn't deserve credit. But that was not the hungry Oscar.Quote:

No need to worry about Floyd getting his respect. If he steps in with Oscar and outboxes him, he'll get it.
Of course, he'll have to settle for stealing rounds to do it ... ;D
Now that something that's funny as hell get real  :bootyshake:Quote:

Dont expect Delahoya to come out as aggressive as he did against Mayorga. Floyd has a much better defense and you will see this reflected in how Oscar fights. I dont see him winning exchanges here; much like in the first Mosley fight, PBF's hands are just too fast. 154 yeah, maybe he does have the power to KO Floyd here, but he definitely has to catch him first and Im sure Mayweather is very aware of Oscar's ability to KO folks with the left hook. Floyd's shoulder roll defense will come into play should this become a factor, Im sure. Delahoya is gonna have to take it to him and catch him. The question is can he? Will he? I dont often see Delahoya pressing the action against a fighter of Mayweather's ability and I see him fighting going backwards and trying to bait opportunities to counterpunch rather than trying to walk Mayweather down and impose his strength like he should...Quote:

I wonder what ring size will be used?? Undoubtedly ODLH was on top of that in negotiations.
Very well put, the fact that the fight is at LM just limits Floyds options. Theres no way he can seriously hurt ODL who has stood toe to toe with the likes of Vargas and Trinidad. I really want Oscar to win this,Quote:
