What fights that haven't been made, do you most want to see?
What fights do you guys think the sport needs right now?
I'm not just talking about big names either. I feel that to find stars to replace the likes of DLH and PBF, boxing needs to look at making fights within divisions to get the great fights together.
So tell me, what do you wanna see?

Re: What fights that haven't been made, do you most want to see?
dela hoya - jones @ 168
calzaghe - kessler
hatton - cotto
tyson - holyfield

i think tyson is less shot than holyfield and they could put on a good show

Re: What fights that haven't been made, do you most want to see?
Tyson is probably gonna come back once in the next few years but i really dont wanna see him get back in the ring.

Re: What fights that haven't been made, do you most want to see?
Mike has the power, but he is finished mentally. His career is all over at this point. The last two guys (Williams and McBride) to beat him proved that. Although I thought they were too big for him like most heavyweights now. They should make a superheavyweight division. Than the Klitchkos would not just dominate like they do. Fights I would like to see which have not been made? Tua vs. Klitchko.. Although Tua never seems to develop to the point of another title shot. Margarito moving up to 154 and fighting Wright. Taylor/Calzaghe,

a superheavyweight division is a stupid idea because there's only 10 fighters that would fit into it and most of them blow.
Other than Vitali/Valuev i guess i'd like to see floyd hang around alittle longer for a few more fights.
-
Re: What fights that haven't been made, do you most want to see?
marques v cabellero
clottey v cotto
inkin v frock
mosely v floyd
Just a few i wouldnt mind seeing.

Re: What fights that haven't been made, do you most want to see?
Hopkins - Jones jr 2 at light heavyweight before jones went to win the heavyweight title...
There was alot of talk about terry norris - felix trinidad back when he was at welterweight..
and when he did move to superwelterweight the match never happened..
Hatton- Mayweather
An in shape james toney vs Bernard hopkins is in my top 3 dream fights of all time..
They were in fact in negotionations before james fought evander holyfield..
I believe it was evander was in dealings with roy jones at the time as jones wanted the heavyweight title..
And toney and bernard were going to have a big fight..
But ruiz beat evander and negotiations between james and bernard fell apart and evander and james ended up getting it on

Re: What fights that haven't been made, do you most want to see?
Actually Mayorga - Vargas is one I've wanted to see for a long time and I'm hoping recent rumours are actually real this time!
There's no chance in hell that fight won't be one helluva slugfest.
I've said this a million times, so here's a million and one, Gatti - Augustus. Another match-up just begging to be FOTY. Although better if it happened 5 years ago.
And I'm really starting to wanna see Floyd fight Taylor. Am I giving Floyd too much credit for assuming he can hang at 160? Everyone has their limit. I wanna see Floyd push right down to the core of his heart and soul. A fight at 160 would do it. And who knows, maybe a win would get him that elusive 6th.

as small as mike is, in his prime he would murder everyone in the division today...especially wladdy

Re: What fights that haven't been made, do you most want to see?
I guess I should put my own thoughts in.
I wanna see Floyd vs. Taylor too. I just think this would prove something to me that Mayweather had an unbelievable amount of guts. He says it's not about weight, it's about skill. I'd love to see him display his skill against someone as hungry.
If Floyd had to fight a welter, I'd want him to fight Cotto. I think he can rule the sport in time.
Vic Darchinyen vs. Jorge Arce at Flyweight is a fight I really wanna see! I think that would be an awesome fight of the year candidate.
Juan Diaz vs. Joel Casamayor just to see the two best lightweights in the world. In time, I'd love to see Diaz fight Katsidis to see who really has the power at lightweight.
Sam Peter vs. Wladimir Klitschko 2. I truly believe these are the two best heavyweights in the world. Peter had him down enought times to make you question how he didn't finish the job. He's less green now, so I think it's time we pushed the future of the sport.

Re: What fights that haven't been made, do you most want to see?
calzaghe vs kessler
hopkins vs jones 2
mayweather vs hatton, cotto, mosley or margarito
taylor vs wright 2
pacquaio vs marquez 2
-
Re: What fights that haven't been made, do you most want to see?
Rematch Winky vs JT
Do not like JT really want to see a loss on his record. Should be one already imo. Winky is the one to do it.
-
Re: What fights that haven't been made, do you most want to see?
Wlad vs Peter 2, the only serious fight in the heavyweight division right now
Calzaghe vs Kessler, probably won't ever happen but if Joe fights Taylor instead then it's still all good with me
Taylor vs Winky 2 The first fight was great see-saw action and both fighters are left with some unfinished business. Again probably won't happen this year if at all as Winky will need to get past Hop first and Taylor will possibly look to fight someone from the 147 lbs division for his next fight as he continues his quest to get a knockout
Cotto vs Margarito This is the fight to determine who is the man at 147 (apart from Floyd) The winner would be in a great position to get a fight with Mayweather next year and finally the dollars would make sense for Floyd, only after he's beaten Oscar again though
Pacquaio vs Marquez It has to be, to see who is the man at 130 lbs
Casamayor vs Diaz Same as above, who is the man at 135 lbs
-
Re: What fights that haven't been made, do you most want to see?
I always wish that Muhammad Ali and Joe Frazier had fought ......... that fight would have been a thriller and I bet they would have both been regarded as better fighters after completing some sort of epic trilogy.

I doubt Ali remembers the fights either ;)

Re: What fights that haven't been made, do you most want to see?
Calzaghe vs Kessler
and im going to go with the idea of Tyson vs Holyfield 3 the more times i see that 1st fight i look at how chunky Holyfields muscles are not in a gay way ;) just thinking was he on steroids then his back and shoulder muscles were massive to take Tysons shots and be able to keep pushing him back
-

How is it a stupid idea? Valuev regularly outweighs his opponents by 70+ pounds. Sometimes he is 100 pounds and 9 inches taller. You call that a fair fight? That is like a typical heavyweight fighting a flyweight. It's ridiculous that in other weight classes 7 or 8 pounds is a huge advantage. But here we have a hundred pounds and it's not a big deal? Superheavies is a good idea. Most weight classes are divided by 7 lbs or less.

I couldn't make a better list, so I just quoted Bilbo's.
I would also love to see Hatton - Cotto and Margarito - Judah.

I know, but it's still not a good idea to have them in the same division. If Valuev killed someone in the ring I guarantee it would come down to his huge size advantage and the publicity would be terrible. I don't think Valuev is so skilled that his size makes him unbeatable.
The UFC started out with no weight divisions and often the smaller more skilled guy beat the huge guy. Tank Abbott ko'd a 400 lb dude with one punch, but they got rid of that because it's dangerous. No question about it if the big guy mauls the small guy and seriously hurts him it's bad news. And people will want to ban the sport.

Have a CC right back at you. That is the reason I chose Briggs-Klitchko. I figured either Briggs by KO quick, or he'd run out of gas and get clobbered later on. Notice I added the imaginary sequel to the last Rocky sequel fight LOL.
