Aron Pryor would whoop floyd jr.
;)
what you guys think? 8)

Re: Aron Pryor would whoop floyd jr.
Possibly Pryor could keep his 100 + punches a round going for 12 rounds easily i think his swarming style would be too much for Floyd i know Floyds got a good defense but you can't avoid all of those punches that Pryor throws he is like a windmill and he would take Mayweathers punches easily.

Re: Aron Pryor would whoop floyd jr.
:coolclick: to both of you for being as intelligent as me ;D
floyd actually has some of pryors style, I'm sure even him would concede pryor is superior to him. I hope this would stop floyd fans to think floyd is god of boxing or something ;)

I think your trying VERY hard to find a fighter that could beat PBF to try and glorify/justify Pac.
You don't need to do that god ;) Pacs a terrific fighter and he will go down as one of the best of our times.
Thats like PBF fans making threads about Pac vs. Pep at Feather or Pac vs. Alexis at S.Feather......
Pac doesn't have the #1 P4P spot cause when you get down to the nitty gritty theres just a gap between Pac and PBF. Same applies for Winky and the rest.

Sorry but why has Pac been brought up ??

I'm trying very hard ??? uhh this is like the first time i made a thread about who could beat floyd. I was watching arons highlights and it came to me if floyd ever fights him, he'd get owned and that is my oppinion thats why i ask what did you guys think. ICE and BIG_DEUCE agreed and I appreciated it but you didn't agree thats find but i dont' appreciate the accusation. your a mod, don't you think the way you replied is a bit immature. Didn't expect it from you man :(
i don't get how you accuse me of trying to glorify pac or whatever when your the only one who mentioned him on this topic ???
mick i thought u was kool, what crawled up your rear-end and try to attack me with accusations?
since you brought up pac and winky already, i just got to add the last paragraph of your reply is just your opinion, don't make it seem like its a fact because oppinions are far from facts 8)

Re: Aron Pryor would whoop floyd jr.
Pryor would be a nightmare matchup for Floyd. I wish we could invent a time machine so this fight could happen. Win or lose, Pryor would give Floyd a heck of a battle.

So your opinion is based on seeing HIGHLIGHTS of Aaron Pryor? How can you accurately judge a fighter's skill by just watching highlights?
-
Re: Aron Pryor would whoop floyd jr.
Pryor is one of my favs, and would give anyone a fight. I always wanted him to fight SRL, but we know how that went. I've seen alot of Pryor fights, especially growing up with boxing fans, and being from Cinci. But, I can't say that Floyd would get "owned" as you put it. "Owned', is what Winky did to tito, or JC did to Lacy. If this match up was possible, Floyd would use alot more of his legs. Plus, even though Pryor is relentless, and non-stop, Floyd fights good in the pocket. Would be a close one IMO.

No i just said highlights to say in short forms but yesterday during memorial day me and some buddys were watching past fights, we watch a lot of arons fight. We had a lot to choose from but when i remember aron pryor I advise we watch his fights so we did. Brought back a lot of memories that guy is good ain't he? I bet you think so too.
-
Re: Aron Pryor would whoop floyd jr.
Oh yeah, I lke Pac, but Pryor and floyd would both beat him, IMO.

yea maybe I should watch what i say with words like "OWNED" i forgot how sensitive grown man can be when it comes to there favorite fighters ;D
seriously though it would be a great fight, like i said my oppinion is that aron would win. whats yours bRo? who you think will win?

nothing wrong with that, thats an educated oppinion too bad we will never know the fact though huh :(

Re: Aron Pryor would whoop floyd jr.
Pryor was a mean, miserable MF who threw a TON of punches, but I think he gets a little overrated. Besides beating an old Alexis Arguello who was coming up in weight, what did he do? Its true he wanted to fight Ray Mancini (Whom I think he would have beaten up) and Sugar Ray Leonard(Whom I think he would have gotten KO'd by), but he never got to fight them. With his hot temper and constant pressure he might have been able to catch Floyd and stop him, but I'd pick Floyd to outbox his crazy ass and win a UD.

Pryor is one of my all-time Favs. Especially since we grew up in close neighborhoods. Pick-em for me. Depends on who makes it "their' fight. If Aaron crowded him relentlessly (kinda like JLC did in Floyd-JLC 1), then Pryor wins. But, If floyd used his legs a little more, and got off first, he would win. At 130, and 135, Floyd was lightning fast, and hurt people to the body. And had more "wheels" than he does at 147 or 154. Thing is, I think Floyd makes better adjustments than Pryor did. If Pryor got the win, a rematch would go to Floyd. Thats just my opinion.

I can't accuse you of downgrading PBF to make Pac look better?

Re: Aron Pryor would whoop floyd jr.
Another HUGE factor in this Pryor vs. PBF mythical fight is.
Is this Pryor with the 'Black Bottle' or Pryor without the bottle?
With bottle Pryor late stoppage.
Without bottle PBF UD.
:)

I dont know Mick...At 1st glance of the black bottle, Roger Mayweather jumps out of the corner and kicks the piss pot of Panama Lewis, A riot ensues and beneath the chaos Aaron Pryor does a few lines of Coke then chases Sugar Ray around the commentators table ;D

Well that's your opion I'd like to think that there is NO WAY Pryor could have taken those shots Alexis landed without some type of supplement.

come on mick, I'm not trying hard to do anything. I just tell my oppinion just like the next guy around here. That is what we all are here for right? To tell you the truth floyd fans are more hardcore than pac fans, pac fans don't go comparing pac to ray robinson do they? I never wanted to bring up pac, i just wanted to point out floyd is not god of boxing, yes his undefeated but his nothing near what great is atleast in my oppinion, hell the next guy to post here can tell us i'm totally wrong and floyd is god and will beat ray robinson any day of the week but that doesn't mean its true. pac fans use to be more annoying but floyd fans are worst now ;D isn't it so funny how they would dismiss any other thoughts and just conclude floyd will beat for example pac.right? 8)
I accept your apology but I don't think its fair to still point out your picking out things from my post as if I'm only here to glorify pac. I'm here as a boxing fan(also a MMA fan too) and to give my opinions too just like everyone else. If I happen to talk about pac and floyd, well those are two seperate subjects and are just my oppinions. No need to let it affect you ;)
ooh by the way aron still k.o alexis in the rematch without any bottle ;D

Re: Aron Pryor would whoop floyd jr.
I have to go with Floyd on this one. I think styles make fights and Pryor as good as he was it would have been tough. I would have liked to have seen Pryor fight a few more great guys before he was crowned one of the great fighters ever. He fought some good guys, but in my mind is not one of the great fighters. His career did not last long enough
-
Re: Aron Pryor would whoop floyd jr.
Fuck that shit. Aaron was a good/low greats fighter, but Arguello and him weren't all that. I think Duran, Chavez were both better than him.

So then you'll understand that I'm just giving you my opinion. :)
I'm pointing this out cause I had a comment to make in regards to your thread/post.
The same way other people can quote me on something I quoted you. That's what the forum is for right?
You post a comment and if someone has an opinion on something they can either quote you and reply or just reply without the quote.
Again I understand everything your saying. I brought up Pac cause that's what I've picked up from your posts.
It's like when JT goes on to talk about his love for PBF or when Hulk goes on about Mayorga. I mean it's things that just stand out to you.
Like me with ODLH. ;)

Thank your for accepting it.
I never said you were here ONLY for that.
I said from your posts what stands out to me is that somehow they are aimed to deminish PBF but upgrade Pac somehow.
By the way the ONLY posts that effect me a little now are the anti-ODLH posts but I'm currently going to therapy to help me out with that. :)

Oh! by the way not only did that 1st fight take a lot out of Alexis but Alexis was waaay past his best days by then and how Alexis made it through 9 rds. is still beyond me.
Let's also not metion Alexis had twice the amount of fights by that time.
Something else that I never hear/read people metion and it's probably because most people don't know or remember is that Alexis moved up in weight to fight Pryor. ;D

I also agree about the short career I mean 40 fights total, 24 were tune up/prospect kinda fights.
That's 16 fights left at top level. Then take away his fights at the end of his career when he had retired then unretired your left with like 11 top leve; fights.
Take away Alexis from his record and your left with 1 B+ fighter in Antonio Cervantes who was waaay past his best and the rest to be honest at best I could rate them 'C-' Class fighters. I mean these guys were coming off either losses or had only fough in their native country. I mean guys you've never heared of or at least have seen in other fighters records.
Gaetan Hart, Lennox Blackmoore, Dujuan Johnson, Miguel Montilla, Akio Kameda, Sang Hyun Kim, Nick Furlano, Gary Hinton.
If anyone can justify any of Pryors opponents I would be more then willing to listen and talk it out.

Why not ?? Castillo gave Mayweather trouble twice 1st time he should of lost second time he only won by 2 points and Pryor is alot more aggressive than Castillo and better fighter.

Re: Aron Pryor would whoop floyd jr.
So all of a sudden Great technique, Great defense, Speed, Quickness, accurate punches, great body work and ring intelligence.. Pale in comparison to wreckless aggression..... Pryor was good and strong but he was ALWAYS open and ALWAYS got hit alot.

Pryor also had skill when he used it he wasn't just some stupid brawler he had skills as i say again Castillo gave Mayweather two very tough fights plus Pryor is a better fighter and more aggressive than Castillo imo he would beat Mayweather.

OK, your talking about fights that happened years ago, plus the 2nd fight wasnt even close Ice.. Styles make fights and people still havent wisen up that bullying and pressureing floyd wont work and hasnt in about 6 years....
what weight is this fight supposed to be taking place at?? If Floyd can move up to 154 and outbox and rock Delahoya who was damn near 160 fight nite and also took Delahoya's punches, I think he will be able to handle Pryor at 140 and his Power... And if you dont think Mayweathers got enough Firepower to deter Pryor, well your not considering this wholeheartedly then
-
Re: Aron Pryor would whoop floyd jr.
As I said in me previous post Aarons quality of opposition is just avg. if that.
With that being said his skills were tested against avg. fighters.
1 A class fighter and 1 B class fighter and thats all we know.
You really can't say much from that can you?
I mean I could understand if they were #1 challengers and all thats cool but that can only give you so much credit......

Yes the fight was close i had Mayweather only ahead 2 points so did Ledderman and you honestly think Mayweather has the power to hold off Pryor ?? he took Arguellos best punches one punch that almost took his head off his shoulders and he laughed at it he would walk through anything Mayweather would throw and swarm all over Mayweather and i honestly don't think Mayweather can keep Pryor off him.

yep because Alexis has thunder in his shoulder and anvils in his glove...... C'mon man, Floyd is an accumulation puncher who methodically broke people down at the lower weights.... Pryor made a living off of 2 fights in his whole career and got mass media exposure for grand standing to Sugar Ray and also from the bottle incident... Now all of a sudden Pryor was an end all be all Juggernaut, sorry I dont buy it.. AT a lower weight Pryor has no skill set advantage over Floyd what so ever NOTHING!!!!! PERIOD!!!!  I challenge you to name 1 skill set he excels over Mayweather in?
Sure he had an unbeliavable KO % but besides Alexis who did he really fight that was spectacular?

And if you dont think Mayweathers got enough Firepower to deter Pryor, well your not considering this wholeheartedly then
Yes the fight was close i had Mayweather only ahead 2 points so did Ledderman and you honestly think Mayweather has the power to hold off Pryor ?? he took Arguellos best punches one punch that almost took his head off his shoulders and he laughed at it he would walk through anything Mayweather would throw and swarm all over Mayweather and i honestly don't think Mayweather can keep Pryor off him.
yep because Alexis has thunder in his shoulder and anvils in his glove......
What did Castillo have better than Mayweather ?? yet he pushed Mayweather twice in two close fights and Pryor is better than Castillo by a long shot and Arguello had very hard right hand he devasting puncher with that punch and Mayweather wouldn't be able to time anything when he has got a tornado swarming him.
