A purse bid was held on Monday at WBO Headquarters in San Juan, Puerto Rico for the mandatory lightweight clash between super champion Juan Diaz and interim champion Michael Katsidis. Golden Boy Promotions, which bid $1,500,000. The proposed site for the contest is Houston, TX with the stated tentative date the weekend of January 26. The split will be 80/20 ($1,200,000.00 for Diaz and $300,000.00 for Katsidis.

Yes it will be but Katsidis well be badly overmatched in this imo.
I think it will be an exciting fight, but Kats cuts easily and is going to get punched silly, but he is a gamer and worthy of the match. I see UD for Diaz or even stoppage due to cuts, as Juan will lay it heavy on him upstairs.

Yeah that was almost a gay moment :-\ I did feel bad that it got stopped like that, though Peter should have got of the ropes. Don't think he was hurt, but he didn't help his cause sitting there like that. Either way, it happened but that Larry Merchant Moment was strange to say the least ::**

I agree. That pay difference is quite large. This should be a good one. But I also thought Juan and Julio would be as well but it was pretty one-sided...

I cant picture Kats after this one, its gonna be like a horror show. He better go for the k.o. early because I really cant see him going 12 with Diaz, and his face not falling off.
