I know he got the win. I mean, I guess he won. But he looked like garbage. He had no power in that left hook. Like I told you guys, the surgery took that shit away. He was lucky he was in there Peter "Super Bum" Manfredo. Cuz any decent 168 fighter would of knocked his ass out
I kept saying this over and over again. Both these cats looked like garbage. I think Calzaghe could have beat both these clowns at the same time in the ring.
I didn't see the fight but i heard he got dropped in the 4th ?? by a light puncher like Manfredo ?? he is for certain finished. I gave Lacy one more chance to impress. and he failed to do so, getting dropped by a light hitter like Manfredo and making 10 hard rounds of work against a mediocre opponent like Manfredo suggest's he needs to hang em up 100 percent.

Truth be told Lacy looked very gunshy on that left hand tonight since that surgery, he actually looked like he wanted to use his right hand more tonight which is whay he dropped Manfredo with. What I don't understand is why Lacy did not try and pin Manfredo to the ropes. Everyone knows that Peter is pure garbage when he is against the ropes and yet Lacy kept letting him get away. Some one did not do their homework or Lacy is just stupid or he just plain ol' sucks. I think Lacy sucks and is so very one dimmensional. Scratch that. He has no dimmension at all. Would this make him dimmensionalis? lol
Listen,this fight was total garbage. INjured and rusty or not,Lacy just looked plain slow and timid. He was there not just to be beaten but to be beaten up and this is coming from someone who enjoys watching him fight. Manfredo is a journeymen. You get a shot at the bigtime,you give it your all. He could have won this fight on the inside,on the outside,yet as soon as he was knocked down,he was scared to fight. It was woeful viewing. Lacy STILL has no jab and still loops/arcs/clubs his right hand.
lacys attacks were predictable last night. in his 2 fights since the calzaghe defeat he hasnt impressed at all. keep him away from kessler
I haven't seen the fight, but judging by the comments, it sounds as if Lacy needs to find alternative employment.
If he can't beat a useless bum like Manfredo convincingly, then it's over.
I could beat Manfredo with a feather duster & a sachet of Pledge Dust & Go wipes!!!

For sure that fight sucked. Lacy just isn't there, though he pressed the "action". Manfredo is junk, period. He looked like he wanted to go home after the knockdown, hell before the knockdown. I suppose he'll say he just got over strep throat and he wasn't himself ::** I hope I never see that garbage fighter again. Ponce De Leon starts out as a power puncher and turns into a volumne puncher by the end of the fight, if he can't knock you out. I still like Ponce. He did his best last night and threw tons of punches. Penalosa would probably beat De Leon in a rematch IMO. But who knows?Quote:

Rob Lewis has it about right. Lacy has undergone probably the worst injury in Boxing. It takes time to understand distance againand timing only comes with confidence, give him time.

It was said that this injury takes 1 year to heal and he was back training in 6 months. Give the guy a break.
