PEOPLE BULLY ME AT SCHOOL I WANT IT TO STOP BOXING IS THE RIGHT THING TO DO RIGHT?
I think of it more as a confidence booster than a survival tactic
I would'nt go in to it expecting to be like Tyson in 6 months
Do you get beaten up?
noway do i expect it i want to strt boxing so i get tuffened up
yep. it is. But you've got to be prepared to work and it won't happen over night. I've been boxing a year now and I've got a fight coming up soon. Seriously there aren't many people I fear now. You have to work hard though.Quote:

I was bullied in school and started martial arts and boxing training...it did help. I got beat on daily in training, so what the school kids did paled by comparison. Once bullies see that they can't scare or intimidate you, they usually find someone else to mess with. Good luck in your training...just stick with it, work hard, and you'll see results
man y'all wrok thnx y'all be sure to coem back and tell y'all how im doing yuup
I was a bully at school, and I'd only pick on those who wouldn't stand up to me.

Yeah and he got suspended/expelled about 50 times from about 10 different schools and institutions for his troubles, and ended up living on the streets as a theif for 18 months :-\Quote:

So go ahead.
But don't do it for revenge, do it for yourself.
Start boxing for whatever reason you want to.
But don't transend to something you don't like.
Start boxing and fall in love with the sport, do it for the experience, and what you can acomplish, but don't do it and go out there looking form a fight.
Do it for all the right reasons, whatever motivates you.
If not being bullied motivates you, then let it.
But don't try to go and fight them just because you box.
But if they pick the fight, let them have it in the jaw.
After I started training, I was never in a fight at school. I never had to actually use what I'd worked on...I think the composure and confidence improvements were enough to discourage the kids bullying me. I was glad for that... I love to fight as a sport, but hate it when it's for real. Someone always gets hurt-either me or them!
i wnt to becoz im tiured of being bllied and tired of seeing kids get bullied for the things tht make thm stand out! getting excluded from school thn let tht be!! :) :)

My school was fu**kin packed with bullies, latino gangs, hip hop gangs, u name it.
In my second year there were bloody secruity guards in certain places, and gates everywhere to make the school look like a prison.
But when i started boxing, i did it not because of school fights but just plainly for the love and dedication for the sport, i hated real street fights.
But Gomez, do want is right and take out the motherf**cker!
yeah man I love getting in the ring and sparring. I love the sport. Honestly I'm scared of fighting in the street. i'm not worried about getting hurt I'm actually worried about what I could do to the prat in front of me.Quote:

You gotta stand up for yourself, even if they smack you down, just get up again, show you have the heart to not let these guys walk over you.
i work at parkhurst so i've seen bullying of extreme cases and alot of bullys don't know how far to go before they stop.
Keep your head up know matter what and keep your pride as knowing can take that anyway from ya dude.
This is gonna get me in trouble as this is a boxing site but if you want to stand up to bullies and be able to take care of yourself without getting excluded from school or in trouble with the police take up Judo.
I was bullied at school and took up Judo. Also it teaches you discipline so you are less likely to get in an altercation with someone due to your ego. However if physical needs to be employed then Judo is far and away the best for of self defence/confidence building/stress conditioning. If you learn to punch properly aswell you will be one dangerous young man.
Good lukc
Hmmm i dont get bullied at school, im about 6'1 and nilly 90kilos and can fight so no one trys to beat up on me. Seriously though do you live in america coz this doesnt happen in australia........often.Quote:

let go man.
You've been given some really good advice here mate. Â Especially the walking with your head high and walking with a swagger. Â It does work, believe me. Â My dad put me nto a school that was not in the area I am from, so naturally myself and a friend that also went there were easy targets. Â My friend was a really placid guy that would not harm a fly, despite being one of the biggest boys in our year. Â I grew up in a pretty rough area so I was used to it and had had to deal with that sort of stuff before, but he wasn't. Â We were being picked on one day but a group of boys so I went straight for the guy that was supposedly the hard man in our year, we fought and it had to be split up in the end. Â After that I recieved no more bother, however my mate did, which meant I ended up involved in a lot of fight early on. Â My dad told him it was because of the way he conducted himself and taught him how to walk properly with the head up, be more confident and when speaking to bully's raise his voice slightly rather than lower it. Â He also told him he was gonna have to fight back and the sooner the better. Â The change was unbelievable and for weeks no-one went near him and I can only put that down to the changes my dad told him to make.Quote:

right on!
It's ok. In return he became a legend. ;DQuote:

Look em in the eyes as well. or if you cant do that focus on something behind the guys head, he'll still think your eye balling him. That can be enough to show your not scared.Quote:

Sure enough he started bullying me but this time I turned around and hit him with everything I had right in the mouth. I knocked out his damn front tooth and split his lip all the way across. I was never messed with again at school and became an instant legend there! haha!
