Boxnation. Is it worth the money?
Have you subscribed to box nation.
I haven't but thought it was brilliant before it went to encryption. Do you think it's with the money and do you think there are enough good upcoming fights on it for me to part with more money for sky and frank warren?

Re: Boxnation. Is it worth the money?
I got it, it was great for the cotto fight plus 24/7 but apart from that its just repeats constant, i know its almost xmass and not alot of big fights happening at this time but i do hope it gets better or i will cancel it.

Re: Boxnation. Is it worth the money?
December was a funny month to go subscription though, £10 for Cotto really. Strange decision.
-
Re: Boxnation. Is it worth the money?
I got it for the Cotto fight alone, I know Sky have had Khan and Froch but they have Mcdermont for January which is joke.
Box Nation will show some big fights in January re-watched Rogan v Skelton which I missed the first time that was great.
-
Hopefully boxnation will get back to what they were doing in the new year after a quiet few weeks since the cotto fight. I suppose that was worth the months subscription alone so can't grumble too much.
I'll judge it after the initial 6 month I signed up for.

Re: Boxnation. Is it worth the money?
I dont see how it could not be worth the money.. If they had it in the states, I wouldnt think twice about subscribing.. They show HBO, Showtime, england fights etc etc plus all the small undercard that are on it so why not?
Id cancel my showtime/HBo right now and get BN if i could.. BoxNation and stream is all i need..

True but you lot have been over paying for years, it is obscene what you fans have to pay over there.

Re: Boxnation. Is it worth the money?
Just read that Vitali v Chisora will be on box nation in February.
-
Re: Boxnation. Is it worth the money?
its well worth it when they have fights. unlike the time between 14th of december aND 13TH OF JANUARY WHEN THEY HAVE JACK SHIT ON
-
Re: Boxnation. Is it worth the money?
basicly ive paid upfront for 2 weeks of boxing, then a gap of a month, then there will be good stuff on afterwards. bit nasty that they havent got HD yet either. their custoemr support is the worst of any company ive dealt with almost non existant

Re: Boxnation. Is it worth the money?
It's 50 pounds for 6 months is that right? That seems like a reasonable price to me, $77.59 or so. PPVs are $65 a pop now and the fights aren't usually anything special, big on names not excitement.

yeah it has been good value apart from the month with nothing on. the only gripe was abroken promise. im still gonna subscribe regardless. you guys do get robbed our ppvs were usually 15 pound but sky are not doing ppvs anymore.

Re: Boxnation. Is it worth the money?
I remember being in US a good few years ago and couldn't believe that a ppv fight was $44.95
You guys certainly do get ripped off when it comes to that and I am not sure if I would pay that if watching alone. Ours once got as high as £17.95 on Sky I seem to remember but has dropped back to £14.95 in recent years - not sure how much Primetime charge mind

primetime varys, abraham was 8, vladamir was 10. froch kessler was 15. they dont usually show any undercard either
-
Re: Boxnation. Is it worth the money?
the box nation card for jan and fab is quite weak but still worth a tenner
i havent got much else to do but to stay in and watch boxing, if that wasnt on id only go out or get a dvd or something

HBO PPV is quite expensive by world standards and if you want HD add an extra $10 to that.
-
Re: Boxnation. Is it worth the money?
so its an extra $10 for HD per event ?!?
and now its 60 plus dollars ?!? Madness

do you get any boxing on hbo that isnt ppv? like if you subscribe to their top premium channels? on sky we got boxing on most weeks then the odd ppv . things like dela hoya vs mayweather was part of our sports package . i know that was obviously ppv in the states.

Yes they have HBO BAD (Boxing after dark) and HBO WCB (World Championship Boxing) for events they think they would lose on the PPV programming. There's actually not that many PPV events in a calender year.
Khan vs. Peterson for example was World Championship Boxing

Re: Boxnation. Is it worth the money?
You must be joking another $10 for HD, they are worse than SKY, if I was in the US I would not be watching boxing, rip off, you guys must be major rich saddos.

Got the Cotto fight for £10, had it been on Sky I would have had to pay £36, so OK with it so far.

Why would it cost £36 of it were on sky? Do you not have a sky subscription?

No I do not have a subscription so it costs that much if I want to see a fight that is on Sky as you have to be with them for a minimum of a month. Most on here already subscribe to Sky for the other sports, but I gave that up a long time ago. So to spend £10 for boxing is OK as many of the fights would have been on their Sky Friday night show.

Re: Boxnation. Is it worth the money?
I used to jealous of the Brits for having Boxnation but it got me thinking, why should I waste money in it when I can watch via stream in near perfect quality. Im not even triipin no more.
Boxnation is a sick program though..c
-
Re: Boxnation. Is it worth the money?
I cannot get good free streams unfortunately.
-
Re: Boxnation. Is it worth the money?
Boxnation is for boxing fan's the only worry as a pure boxing channel, will it get enough people to
subscribe it's a great channel for us boxing nut's.?
As with other sport's channel's they have a mix of sport's, nobody has said from the channel how
many people it need's to subscribe.;D
