David Haye: "I hope Wlad beats Leapai and I can get a rematch"
David Haye wants a rematch with Wladimir Klitschko.
World Boxing News - Haye: I hope Wlad beats Leapai and I can get a rematch!
Does he deserve a rematch and another big payday, or should he need to beat a contender first?
-
Re: David Haye: "I hope Wlad beats Leapai and I can get a rematch"
He screwed around Fury and now believes he can waltz into a rematch? He claimed his career was over, so should fight people first. Haye is a liar, and should probably move in with the banks. Sociopathic liars really fit in well there.
-
Re: David Haye: "I hope Wlad beats Leapai and I can get a rematch"
I heard David Haye's girlfriend split up with him. He promised her children, but he kept pulling out.
-
Re: David Haye: "I hope Wlad beats Leapai and I can get a rematch"
Can any of us believe anything Haye says anymore , the guy is a clown.
-
Don't think he deserves a shot. I've come to like Haye but I'm starting to wonder about him, he can't seem to stay on track long enough to finish what he starts.
He reminds me of a kid in a candy store with limited coin. I want that. No, no I want that. No, no that looks bigger, I want that one.
I think he might be as good or better than anyone else but he should fight in some kind of eliminator instead of sliding in with the top dog.
What's wrong with the WBC, not good enough for him, too little money or no balls. I thought he was going to jump in the middle of WBC mix.
He can fight but he wants the easiest way to the potential pot of gold.
-
Re: David Haye: "I hope Wlad beats Leapai and I can get a rematch"
Nope. He needs at least two wins over some top five Heavyweights first before getting a shot.
Haye's fought only 2 fights in over 3 years, winning 1 and losing the other.
1 fight in 2011: Wladimir Klitschko.
1 fight in 2012: chisora.
No fights in 2013.
You shouldn't get to go to the head of the line with that bull$#!t, but this is Boxing where fans respond to loud talking bull$#!t...
-
Re: David Haye: "I hope Wlad beats Leapai and I can get a rematch"
I like watching Haye fight and enjoy his out-of-the-ring antics... but he shouldn't get to go to the head of the line based on his recent resume, not when when several other active fighters have earned their rank and their shot.
-
Re: David Haye: "I hope Wlad beats Leapai and I can get a rematch"
David Haye the new James Toney.
-
W@nker.
Wasting his skills on lying and refusing to compete.

The WBC dropped him completely from their rankings due to his inactivity

Re: David Haye: "I hope Wlad beats Leapai and I can get a rematch"
He can not be serious but I bet he is. He has no credibility whatsoever and needs to start from scratch.
-
Re: David Haye: "I hope Wlad beats Leapai and I can get a rematch"
I guess money talks, but with David Haye there is every chance you'll never even see the money. I doubt to many people of standing would even bother signing up to fight him at this point, they could just be throwing a year away.
-
Re: David Haye: "I hope Wlad beats Leapai and I can get a rematch"
reading teh article it seems he is not saying wheter he is retiring or not and teh journalist asked him if he would fight wladimir again and haye said he would if he could... Don't think haye is actively chasing wlad just now but he obviously will soon enough .. I think he will make a run for the wbc belt before wlad can get there though.. Haye will still bring big money people will still buy his act... I can see him fight wlad not too far in the future.
-
Re: David Haye: "I hope Wlad beats Leapai and I can get a rematch"
I'd like to see him fight again :o but he'd have to fight his way back into the rankings :-X
-
Re: David Haye: "I hope Wlad beats Leapai and I can get a rematch"
It's a shame so much talent and fantastic athleticism was wasted on such a flakey, unreliable shit talking moron.

There you go.

Re: David Haye: "I hope Wlad beats Leapai and I can get a rematch"
Haye deserves fuck all, and should pay all the fans back for what the lost on tickets, travel and hotels for the Fury debacle.
Who'd buy a ticket for a Haye fight now in their right mind ?
Total knob

Re: David Haye: "I hope Wlad beats Leapai and I can get a rematch"
hes not saying he wants an immediate return, i think he accepts he will have to fight at least a couple of times first
-
Re: David Haye: "I hope Wlad beats Leapai and I can get a rematch"
Hollywood Haye and Floyd should hold hands and disappear somewhere..

He had the perfect opportunity with the hi profile Tyson Fury.
Dont forget Tyson Fury is utter shit with a week chin, no skills, no power what so ever and easy to hit. He was piss easy work for Haye and it was a 1 or 2 round demolition job and a £5 million pay day! It was such easy work he could have won even with a little cut;D

fury isnt the best you are right, which is what makes his withdrawal all the more believeable
withdrawing against decent opposition you might get suspicious

even more evidence
if we are honest audley harrison and michael sprott would give fury a good fight, nothing to be ashamed of, he is still boxing at a decent level, he just isnt at the level that you have him at

Sprott is certainly levels above Wilders last fight and is too good to be Prices next ;)
He was one of Tysons initial sparring partners for the first scheduled Haye fight and had to leave the camp early. I think he got hurt. His next fight he got smashed in the first round. He was also offered a fight with Hughie but wanted more than the £12000 on offer.
-
Re: David Haye: "I hope Wlad beats Leapai and I can get a rematch"
Wow.
Based on recent resume, no, hell no, hell motherfucking no.
Based on enjoyable fighters to watch, yes.
Based on the previous clash of these two and the shitfest they both produced? No.
I would love to see any Brit waltz into an undeserved hw unification fight and win it, but tbh there is just no way Haye deserves it.
He has not only lost his own credibility, but he's also caused grief on Furys career which I dislike. Now I am not Furys biggest fan but I don't like seeing a fighters hard earned career get effected by the antics on someone who doesn't have his heart in it.
This all coming a Haye fan.

all good information
the fella who smashed sprott in a round also beat rogan in seconds, dont know much more about him but on that form you have to take notice
i dont know how much sprott gets per fight but perhaps it is generally more than 12k
i think sprott would be a big step up for hughie, a big risk at this stage of his career

see im not sure i totally agree with this
yeah fury would now be a very rich man if the fight verses haye had have gone ahead but his career in terms of boxing standing has benefitted massively from the pull out
if the fight had of gone ahead the most likely outcome would have been fury being KOed within 2 or 3 rounds and everyone still saying who has haye ever fought at HW

Inactivity.

See this is ridiculous. If it was such a quick easy fight for Haye why the need to worry about a cut and before you reply, just answer it in your head head with what you just said, that "Fury would have been KOed within 2 or 3 rounds".
Either it would have been a quick easy fight for Haye or more realistically, Fury was going to be a very difficult proposition for him and to stand any chance he needed to be 100%.
Lets not forget, he went ahead with Wlad with a broken toe he sustained 3 weeks before the bout and like he said himself he couldnt get any leverage on his punches. He was willing to go in with Wlad with an injury.
-
Re: David Haye: "I hope Wlad beats Leapai and I can get a rematch"
You can't pass the British boards medical with a cut. The fight wouldn't have been allowed even if he wanted to go through with it.
-
Re: David Haye: "I hope Wlad beats Leapai and I can get a rematch"
When does haye give a toss about BBBOFC, he fought without there consent for the chisora match.
-
Re: David Haye: "I hope Wlad beats Leapai and I can get a rematch"
Haye doesn't deserve a rematch with Wladimir at this point. Haye is banking on the fight that in terms of marketability, he is likely the best option out there. However, he needs to realise that his inactivity and history of pulling out of fights negate all that. Haye needs 2 fights IMO. He needs 2 sign up for 2 fights, not pull out and win them both impressively. If he is serious about boxing, then he needs to stop thinking with a business head and start thinking with a boxing head or he's gunna spend the next to years Winky Wrighting his way into obscurity.

case is very much open :)
how is how inactivity better than getting KOed early in a fight you have been telling everyone you will win easily? and that you are the greatest boxer in the world
Furys career has been inactive because of haye, furys boxing career is still alive because of haye

you are allowed to fight with a broken toe, you arent allowed to fight with a cut
i am completely objective in all of this, and there is a possibility that fury would have put in a good account of himself
i just dont see it tho, i dont think it would have gone past a few rounds with fury being pretty much outclassed

Fuck off!
Your all relieved the fight never went ahead as if it did it was highly probable that this forum in general were about to look very silly telling everyone how easy Haye was going to have it. He was having trouble in sparring with the likes of Richard atowers for fuck sake!;D
You go on fooling yourself that Haye could do anything.
Who are his last two wins?;D

That's irrelevant. The fight was sanctioned by the board so it's their rules. If you can't pass a medical you can't pass a medical. Simple.

You know, one of these days I wish someone would just admit that I was right all along about Mr. Haye.
I told you guys YEARS ago about this clown!
