Re: The "Name a fight" Game
Qawi over Saad Muhhamad.
I don't think Qawi was the favorite going in- and he is really short! Good fight!
Ok question...BRB..

Re: The "Name a fight" Game
Probably several answers to that one. I'll go with Basilio/Robinson 1
The year is 1941 and a free open air boxing event is held and over 135,000 people show up?

Re: The "Name a fight" Game
Name two fights where compubox listed at least 1,000 punches thrown by the winner.

Calzaghe/Lacy and Tua/Ibeabuchi

Re: The "Name a fight" Game
Zale/Pryor (had to google it haha). Try to keep it less specific where there could possibly be multiple answers.
Name a fight where a southpaw got up from a knock down and scored a comeback KO!

Name the '2nd' ex-Heavyweight Champion to get a 2nd-Chance to recapture his Championship.
Hint > James J. Corbett was the '1st' ex-Heavyweight Champion to get a 2nd-Chance to recapture his Belt.

James J. Jeffries never lost his 'Belt'. He retired.

He did attempt to recapture it 'once', but not twice.

But,
Carlos Monzon hit Gratien Tonna with a better right-hand to the back of the head.
The Referee did nothing, and counted out Gratien while he was on his hands and knee's
on the canvas.

Bernard Hopkins vs Antwon Echols II. Blow to the back of the head -but in fairness-the ref witness about 1/2 dozen fouls. HBO highlights of the fight- were a compilation of every foul that occurred.
Name (2) fights where the winner was losing on all score cards at the time of a stoppage/ko.

Corrales v Castillo?

Re: The "Name a fight" Game
Joe Jeanette vs Sam McVea, tko round 49. Jeanette went down 27 times in the fight. Had to be dragged back to his corner in the 17th round.
Also I think Max Baer did it as well. That's something that will never happen again.
Name a fight that took place in a prison.

James Scott made a career of it and scared Lederman shitless on HBO once. He beat top guys like aka Eddie Gregory and Yaqui Lopez inside as the wba dropped him from rankings on "moral grounds" :horseshit: after they realized he would be a jail house champion. He beats the #1 contender then has to sit back and watch the guy just stripped for breaking contract be reinstated. Watching his few network bouts and grasping the background and presentation is surreal ;D They actually had prison furlough programs out of New York where dozens of guys aka inmates would box 'on the outside' in some sort of circuit for obviously better competition until Marlon Starling ran into a tragic night.
