I feel pretty much the same. I've got a lot of time for Smith and I think he's the real deal. I hope he proves it against Fielding. And it's for a good old fashioned British title.
This is what boxing is about.

I don't know man, Smith didn't look amazing again Rebrasse.
If Rebrasse had any sort of power I think he would have won the fight.
Fielding does have power but maybe not the accuracy or slickness or Rebrasse.
Interesting fight.

I think Smith will win but think it will be harder then people think. I dont think Rocky gets as much respect as he deserves after a few poor performances before the Vera fight. Really glad they made this fight. Was convinced it would be the usual British prospect shit (we need to be world champions for the fight to happen BS)
Rebrasse showed against Groves that he's a good fighter. At the time "we" all thought Groves had underperformed but against Smith it was apparent that wasn't really the case.
My favourite boxing moment of the year so far is when Rebrasse got off the floor, tapped his body and told Smith to hit him again (nothing to do with me backing Smith to win on PTS of course :D)
That win for Smith is much more relevant than Fielding chinning a shot-to-bits Vera. Smith maybe a little overhyped but he looks much better than Fielding to me. Thankfully we'll get to find out.
Smith on points for me, will be a cracking fight though!!!!

Its been a real shocker this one has, I just had it on in the background and wasn't paying much attention to it but its been a real good scrap, you can't beat a bit of blood and snot in the ring.

However, we currently have a petition to sack everyone on the planet over a fighter suffering a brain injury. Well that fight was full of head clashes and punches to the back of the head. Fine line
you can definitely see it from both sides and I am angry with myself for actually finding myself in agreement with the sky commentators, the ref could have gave him a standing 8 count and then took a good look into his eyes to see if he had sorted himself out, it just seems like a shame that it came so late into the fight.Quote:
