Chris Eubank jr-Tony Jeter - Sat/SKY. Fact.
This mismatch doesn't really warrant much comment but whatever.
Jeter (24-4-1/14 KOs) looks pony on paper and pony in the ring. He's a 39-year-old that has lost three out of four by chinnage. He lasted 4 minutes with the best fighter he's faced - Patrick Nielsen.
Jr (19-1/14 KOs) has been inactive whilst the transition from FW to Matchroom took place. They obviously wanted a "comfortable" come back fight but why did they pick such a poor opponent? Probably because the casual fan (which SKY aim at) love nothing more than a brutal KO. The Spike O' Sullivan fight is already done and dusted for Dec 12th PPV. With Adam Booth taking over as trainer it looks like the theatrical nonsense from the old man is getting the elbow.
If Jr wants to win in the 1st he will - 6/1
If he ponces around the 2nd round is - 5/1
If he takes the absolute piss the 3rd round is - 9/2
Saver/bet/saver.

Re: Chris Eubank jr-Tony Jeter - Sat/SKY. Fact.
actually though, i was worried i wouldnt get to see this fight, ive just moved house and i didnt think my sky would be set up
as it happens the previous tennants had sky and its all installed and all i had to do was plug my sky box in and it works
magic!

Re: Chris Eubank jr-Tony Jeter - Sat/SKY. Fact.
That is blatantly not true. Although I do find talking to myself the most rewarding.
I have thousands of readers that will be waiting for my losing McDonnell-Parodi bet.

Re: Chris Eubank jr-Tony Jeter - Sat/SKY. Fact.
Jeter is the perfect tune up for a matchup with GGG , he is a young hungry power punching fighter , a mirror image of GGG.;)
-
Re: Chris Eubank jr-Tony Jeter - Sat/SKY. Fact.
Surprised Sky have not kept this as PPV with Junior ego he must be a tad annoyed.
-
Re: Chris Eubank jr-Tony Jeter - Sat/SKY. Fact.
Both Warren and Hearn have said this week that the Eubank's have asked them to make the GGG fight. Arrogance? Fearless? Nutters.

Hype. His dad never fought the best fighters from the US so why would his son?
-
Re: Chris Eubank jr-Tony Jeter - Sat/SKY. Fact.
I can't believe the amount of shit that Sky have peddaled since signing Jr, there has been programs on about him and his old man all day, they are just going to keep on throwing him in with postmen who he can look invincible against because they know the casual fan will eat it up, then before you know it he will be PPV.
Anthony Joshua part 2 methinks.
I've got little or no interest in the fight tonight, I'll probably have it on whilst I'm reading my book, I might see if I can get 2 or 3 pages read before he knocks him out

Re: Chris Eubank jr-Tony Jeter - Sat/SKY. Fact.
His next fight will be PPV on the same bill as AJ. Spike O' Sullivan is a hard cunt for a postie

Golovkin isn't from the US.

Re: Chris Eubank jr-Tony Jeter - Sat/SKY. Fact.
Isn't California GGG's new adoptive hometown? I guess that could make him part yank...in a way...maybe
has the Spike fight actually been made or are they just talking shit about each other?
-
Re: Chris Eubank jr-Tony Jeter - Sat/SKY. Fact.
Parodi drifts to 11/2? Oh well

Re: Chris Eubank jr-Tony Jeter - Sat/SKY. Fact.
The tall guy should be finishing his combinations with the hook to the body; Parodi stands up to block.
-
Re: Chris Eubank jr-Tony Jeter - Sat/SKY. Fact.
Not enjoying this fight one bit. 2 very poor fighters in the ring.
-
Re: Chris Eubank jr-Tony Jeter - Sat/SKY. Fact.
This fight is like watching a crap version of Kiko Martinez against a crap version of Jamie McDonnell

Re: Chris Eubank jr-Tony Jeter - Sat/SKY. Fact.
Why do I want to punch Sr in the face so bad?

As per the WBA, the winner will voluntarily relinquish the interim title or will be stripped so that Alfonso Blanco can officially start his reign as the new WBA Interim World middleweight champion on October 25.
These guys swore they were going to dump this stuff 2 years ago.

Re: Chris Eubank jr-Tony Jeter - Sat/SKY. Fact.
I am stunned that this fight is going to a second round. Absolutely stunned.

Bit of a step back confidence builder I suppose. Never understood how a no hoper could build a guys confidence.

Travesty is was allowed to happen at all.

Re: Chris Eubank jr-Tony Jeter - Sat/SKY. Fact.
Hearne has just said he is disapointed with Jeter...what the fuck was he expecting, fucking idiotic comment.
Eubank Sr is a fucking tool as well, I can't stand these pricks
-
Re: Chris Eubank jr-Tony Jeter - Sat/SKY. Fact.
They are chasing Golovkin, I get the feeling GGG won't exactly be on his toes sprinting in the other direction at the moment.
-
Re: Chris Eubank jr-Tony Jeter - Sat/SKY. Fact.
I thought it was fantastic. I very rarely bet on individual rounds. Good job by both
-
Re: Chris Eubank jr-Tony Jeter - Sat/SKY. Fact.
I was really close to putting money on him to win in the first or second round but I lost my bet on the football so didn't want to risk it
-
Great stuff. Sublime matchmaking after the pointless Eubank ego massage.
-
Re: Chris Eubank jr-Tony Jeter - Sat/SKY. Fact.
after all my worries of not beiong able to watch this fight, i fell asleep during the gavin mcdonnell fight

Re: Chris Eubank jr-Tony Jeter - Sat/SKY. Fact.

No Jeter was utter shite, its easy to look good against shite. O'Sullivan will be different, he will give it a good and im interested to see if Eubank can stand up to pure power. Boxing ability is in favour of Eubank but as I said before if he stands and trades it will make it interesting. Two great fights Joshua-Whyte and Eubank - O'Sullivan.
-
Re: Chris Eubank jr-Tony Jeter - Sat/SKY. Fact.
Luke Campbell and Dickhead Bellew are both on the bill so far too with opponents TBC

I dont think there will be any issues with Eubank taking O Sullivans power.
Look at his records and look at the only two recognisable names on there. One is a light middle whos been stopped a few times and Spike went 12 rounds with him (Matthew Hall)!
The other is Saunders who he didnt win a single round against.
Only one judge made Eubank the loser against Saunders. It was a split. It only needed one more judge to call Eubank the winner. The judges couldnt even decide who won that fight! That was Eubank pacing himself in his first 12 rounder and first fight past 8 rounds.
Eubank has been in with big punching world level fighters in hard sparring like Froch, De Gale, Groves for instance. He takes big punches in sparring.
The Matthew Hall fight proves that O Sullivan isnt the massive puncher hes being made out to be at all. He doesnt even have an impressive KO ratio at domestic level either for a massive puncher. 15 ko's from 22 wins at domestic level? 68%. That might be a good ratio if hed been campaigning at world level for a few years but thats domestic level fighters and the one fighter who was any good he lost every single round.

Fair play, for a "Title contender ", Bellew fights the TBA & TBC Brothers quite a lot doesn't he? No doubt after he sparks out some Lithuanian cab driver with a record of 12 wins 40 losses in the later rounds who weighs about a stone
less, he'll talk about how hard he's trained for this fight (blood, sweat, tears, blah, blah, blah) and how he's
ready for anyone in the division, because nobody has the heart and desire and straight refusal to go down.
It's like no boxer before or since has ever worked hard like he does.
