Wlad-Fury - Plus Rod Stewart. 10pm. Saturday/SKY PPV. Fact.
Sorry for starting another thread but it's hard to know where to put certain comments, as every thread involving Fury is littered with the same old shit (yeah, I know this will go the same way).
I can't remember ever seeing a big fight with no undercard. We are mere days away from the fight. Now I expect something will be added this week but they're gonna be nothing fights.
There's not a hope in hell i'm paying £20 for one fight.
1. It's a Wlad fight. As good as Wlad is, more often than not he stinks the joint out.
2. I wouldn't be shocked if it was over in one round.
3. Dec 12 is PPV.

Hugie signed to fight Firtha a couple of minths ago for this so theres one undercard fight.
I dont think many even care to be honest.
Iv come to appreciate you as a poster fenster by the way.

Not sure I'll be forking out for this one to be honest.
If there was a half decent undercard I would have but unless they make some pretty big announcments in the next few days I'll give it a miss
-
re: Wlad-Fury - Plus Rod Stewart. 10pm. Saturday/SKY PPV. Fact.
Firtha pulled out of the fight as far as Im aware. Im sure Hughie will be on the undercard but given its v TBA it will likely be a pudding. This surely wont sell at all given the poor/lack of undercards. Sky should do a deal that if you buy this you get the Dec 12th PPV for free or at least at a good discount.
Ive found it hard to see a good bet in this fight to be honest. Was think Fury to be knocked down at 5/6 looks decent.

I am looking forward to the fight and undercard , I will be sinking a few drinks and watching for sure.

Ah for fucks sakes!
Hughie will again get the blame for fighting someone shit. They really struggle to nail anyone down for him. Firtha was at least acceptsble.

I'm glad you appreciate me, ross.
You do realise I think Wlad is going to win though, right? And also think Fury's views on life in general are utterly disgusting. Don't want to disappoint you with further comments I might make this week. :)

re: Wlad-Fury - Plus Rod Stewart. 10pm. Saturday/SKY PPV. Fact.
As per boxrec

Thats fair enough but I haven't seen you try to belittle any fighters lately based on their body shape or race/ethnicity, basically just things that have nothing to do with us.
I know very few in this forum are publicly backing Fury in this fight and im relishing the aftermath of the fight. More for Fury as I believe he wins and he will finally get respect.

I'll be paying. Don't often these days but I'm intrigued by this one.
I think Wlad will bust Furys face up and force a late stoppage but I still give Tyson a 15-20% chance of winning and see a scenario where he can - based purely on his physical size.
I'm also just reading that that clown Haye has announced he's coming back. Good luck with selling tickets David.....

Where ever hate fights he will sell tickets

An issue with the gloves. Tyson had gloves sent to him to try that had much longer thumbs than usual by 2 or 3 inches and they were hitting the pad as well as the knuckle. Asked for new ones but they are still to see them. Even the British Boxing board of control has stepped in and asked that they make sure he has gloves that actually fit.

The only thing I don't know about Tyson Fury is his heart. You guys in GB would know better than me. Will he fight or pull a David Haye.

What time is fury fighting? I've got work on Saturday night :/

re: Wlad-Fury - Plus Rod Stewart. 10pm. Saturday/SKY PPV. Fact.
Watching the live final press conference, they're still flogging the tickets. Fat Mick and Wlad's mob both begging for fans to come over

re: Wlad-Fury - Plus Rod Stewart. 10pm. Saturday/SKY PPV. Fact.
Funking Rod Stewart seems to be the main attraction. :D
-
re: Wlad-Fury - Plus Rod Stewart. 10pm. Saturday/SKY PPV. Fact.
Watching a press conference that is mainly in a foreign language is a great insight to what it's like for foreign fighters in this country. Hilarious.
So close to the fight Fury admitted ge was shitting himself.

Did I just hear Tyson Fury say Wladimir was a kickboxer? That was Vitali.

re: Wlad-Fury - Plus Rod Stewart. 10pm. Saturday/SKY PPV. Fact.
The biblical proportions of stupidity displayed by this clown makes me cringe.
"What as a boxer are you going to do to get noticed , to make you different " said fury.
Well from a boxing fans point of view I would have to say , beat world class fighters impressively , show unique skills.
Or if you a glass jawed lummox , then just behave like you are retarded.

Fury also stated that "Champions get up off the canvas to win, Wlad hasn't done that"......but yeah, yeah he has, vs Sam Peter in their first fight he got up 3 times and was so controlling in that match he STILL won via UD.
Fury says "no fight is easy" and also says "Wlad is an easy fight".....you speak in riddles Sahib.
So as fans we don't know if Fury is going to box or come out and try to brawl. I've got the feeling he'll try to brawl once he gets the chance and given that Fury pushes his punches and Wlad snaps his I'll have to say the end of this fight and I guess the end of Tyson Fury's career will be quick and devastating.....you might get up from a Pajkic knock down, you might get up from a Cunningham knockdown, and you might keep your feet when McDermott has you reeling but when the Steelhammer crashes on that chin it's going to be goodnight sweetheart!

Like Rigo?
No one wants to watch him fight and he must be one of if not the best figter in the world...
-
re: Wlad-Fury - Plus Rod Stewart. 10pm. Saturday/SKY PPV. Fact.
Plenty of fans like to watch Rigo , and most consider him the premier fighter in his division.
Did he do that from his skill and boxing ability - yes.
Did he do it from being a cringe worthy buffoon - no.

He only got paid $350,000 for his last fight as a world champion...
Tyson is getting millions as a challenger. Tyson is winning at selling himself. Clearly more people want to watch him.

Hmmmm....could Tyson fury be making millions because of WHO he is fighting?
Also Tyson Fury is a heavyweight and heavyweights get bigger money typically

Tyson is getting £2.5 million in his first title challenge.
Klitschko got 80% of £7 million v Pulev, which left Pulev with £1.4 million.
What did Jennings get?
Tyson sells.

I'm not sure what your point is, apart from "Tyson sells". So Pulev got £1.4 Million? Do you have any idea what Bulgarian TV paid for the rights? Very little if anything, in case you didn't know over there, PPV and money in general is harder to come by than it is in the UK, they have other priorities, like putting food on the table. Sky have contributed considerably to Fury's purse.
If we're going to compare , why don't we compare with a country with relative affluence, like Russia for instance.
Now the Purse for Povetkin to fight Wlad was won with a bid of about £22 million. So does this mean "Povetkin sells?" Or is it about how deep one's pockets are?
Fury is going to need all the money he gets for Saturday night, because an interview I read the other day said he downsized house wise and has got rid of the Big Range Rover in return for a 15 year old Merc.
You may put this down to what happened with Haye and what that cost him and you may be right, but obviously it cost Haye also. I don't think he would deliberately put himself on the verge of Bankruptcy because he was scared of Fury.
I bet Pulev's £1.4 mill goes a lot further that Tyson's £2.5 mill. Camps in Belgium, paying all his family/entourage doesn't come cheap.
For the record, on the most important aspect i.e. In the ring, Pulev and Povetkin both beat Tyson, as does Wlad.
