Fury Vs Chisora 3 - December 2022
It’s happening!
The most anticipated fight of the century!
This is why this is the toughest era in all of boxing when you have 50/50 fights like these!
Chisora has definitely earned his shot with “only” 12 losses and the best option out of all the heavyweights today including Joyce or Ruiz.
If Fury is successful over Chisora, there is serious discussion of a rematch against Kevin Johnson.

Re: Fury Vs Chisora 3 - December 2022
Is this surprising to anybody? Pathetic. out of this whole fiasco, the ONLY person to come out with any credit is Joshua.
He accepted the fight, the terms , and didn’t say a wrong word through the whole process.
Even his promoter doesn’t come out with any kudos. It was probably nigh on impossible to put this fight on anyway, but he consistently showed he didn’t want the fight for AJ, but he don’t give a fuck because he’ll make his dough off Chisora’s back.
Hearn’s stock has gone down massively in the last week.

Possibly better than Charr???? Maybe.

I would prefer Charr because it all seemed contrived that it was always going to be Chisora. The past fights between them have been awful to watch and I am not looking forward to this trilogy. They are all mates behind the scenes and are laughing all the way to the bank.
-
Re: Fury Vs Chisora 3 - December 2022
I would prefer anyone other than Chisora from the top fifteen. I'd prefer Charr get a rankings boost so he becomes viable, simply because it's a new name. Wilder and Helenius are out of the picture. Joshua, say no more. Parker just fought. That still leaves Ruiz, Sanchez, Makhmudov, Whyte, Wallin, Bakole, Kossobutskiiy, Ortiz, Hunter and Hrgovic.

Re: Fury Vs Chisora 3 - December 2022
December deserves better. Might as well be Fury visiting us personally to shit in my Christmas stocking and then belting out a slurry ballad about it. The biggest names in boxing are floundering right now.

Re: Fury Vs Chisora 3 - December 2022
I told everybody the AJ fight would not happen. this fight will not happen either. This is an old tactic to force Usyk or someone else to the table. Fury is the money here. If he should lose, then that big payday is out the window.

Re: Fury Vs Chisora 3 - December 2022
Many of the greats fought substandard defences …. but (for the greats) only when they had cleaned out their divisions and there was nobody else to fight.
A true great fighting man would have made the fight happen, to prove who #1 is, and not hide behind bleating about lawyers and promoters. Fury has recently mightily impressed me as a boxer, but this is really not a good look for him or the way he will be judged by posterity …..
-
Re: Fury Vs Chisora 3 - December 2022
Confirmed
WTF
Huge Fury fan up to recently now getting a bit sick of it all - how Chisora with his record keeps getting these big fights I will never know.
kind of hope Del boy wins will serve them all right - do they care about the fans....
If these guys fought 3-4 times a year fair enough but those days are long gone.
An insult
-
Re: Fury Vs Chisora 3 - December 2022
Joe Louis defended his title every month in the so-called ‘Bum of the Month’ Club …… because he had totally cleaned out the division.
Muhammad Ali went on his world tour and defended against some less than stellar names ……. Because he had cleaned out the division.
Tyson Fury defends his title against a fast-sliding journeyman he has already beaten twice ….. while there are at least 3 live opponents he could have fought. Legacy? Ha.

Tyson Fury donates £10,000 to charity after winning Anthony Joshua bet with Frank Warren
Fury made a wager with Warren that the fight with Anthony Joshua would not happen, and the money was delivered by the hall-of-fame promoter in cash at the press conference for his upcoming fight with Derek Chisora
Tyson Fury elected to donate the £10,000 he won from his bet with promoter Frank Warren to charity DEBRA at today's press conference.
It was today confirmed that the 'Gypsy King' would make a U-turn from his short retirement to step back into the ring with former two-time heavyweight rival Derek Chisora at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium on December 3. The news was announced at a press conference today where he came face-to-face with 'WAR' as the pair prepare to do battle later this year.
During the media event, Fury brandished a wad of cash worth £10,000 which he confirmed he had been given by long-term promoter Frank Warren after he bet that his planned contest with Anthony Joshua would collapse. His premonition came to fruition with the fight collapsing after 'AJ' missed his publicly declared contract deadline.
"I bet that Joshua wouldn't sign the fight contract," said Fury. "Now I've got £10k. Frank Warren said he would sign it and I said, 'I bet 10 grand he won't'... and there's the 10 bar. Tax free money... tax free."
After the events unfolded, Fury proceeded to return to the stage area to address media, where he reached out to charity DEBRA, an organisation set up to provide funds for those suffering with epidermolysis bullosa [EB], a group of rare skin disorders. He handed over the money to a representative from the charity during an emotional gesture of goodwill.
The 34-year-old champion later confirmed that he made the entire donation after seeing the intentions of the organisation with their work. "Yeah that charity can do more with that £10,000 than I can do with it so that is why I donated it," Fury confirmed to reporters after making the gesture. "I could see that the charity were very serious with what they were saying so I thought as as a goodwill gesture I would make the donation."
Fury has been known for making goodwill gestures in the past including raising awareness towards mental health charities after making a comeback to boxing following his own mental health problems. After his epic comeback, Fury has been on top of the world and will make the latest defence of his WBC crown against Chisora despite it initially looking like he would finally settle his rivalry with Joshua.
Warren has revealed that he was confident the fight with Joshua would happen hence why he placed the lucrative wager with the WBC champion. He said: "I honestly believed it was going to happen. Tyson was getting fed up with it, and he was right. It cost me £10,000, the bet I had with him. Tyson can’t afford any slip-up in this fight as he has the much-publicised undisputed match-up with Usyk in the new year which we’re really looking forward to."

As soon as the press conferences were over, that “representative” will handed that Monopoly money back to Frank Warren so they can use it again, probably when Fury gives his purse money to the homeless again. ;D;D
My prediction is that this will be THE WORST SELLING HW WORLD TITLE PPV FIGHT EVER!

Re: Fury Vs Chisora 3 - December 2022
Agreed can't see how they'll sell this fight at all.
Surely even a casual boxing fan won't buy this or attend.
Let's hope it flops

Re: Fury Vs Chisora 3 - December 2022
In the span of a year I've lost any respect for Fury I managed to arrive at post Wilder III, and even that was largely dismissed as unneeded and unnecessary. He's a talented con man and boisterous carnival barker at this point. Manufactured cash grabs like this are EXACTLY why Jake Paul and reality "stars" are exploiting boxings failures and voids right now.
The only trilogy and actual competitive fight on Dec.3rd is Chololatito Gonzalez vs Juan Estrada III.

Re: Fury Vs Chisora 3 - December 2022
Heavyweight champion Daniel Dubois will fight Kevin Lerena on the undercard to Tyson Fury vs Derek Chisora 3 in December.
Dubois will be defending his WBA (Regular) title for the first time since knocking out Trevor Bryan to claim the belt earlier this year.
The fight has been confirmed as part of the undercard to Fury’s trilogy bout against Chisora in London.
Dynamite has only lost one fight in his professional career, losing to Joe Joyce in November 2020, while his South African opponent is unbeaten in eight years and boasts a record of 28 wins and one loss.
Since his defeat to Joyce two years ago, Dubois has bounced back to win all of his three fights and will now look to defend his championship.
This 12-round heavyweight clash is taking place on Saturday, December 3.
It will be held at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium in London.
Start times and ringwalks will be confirmed closer to the night but fans can expect the undercard to get underway from 5pm with the main event at around 10pm.
Dubois vs Lerena will be the chief support and should get going at 9pm.
Promoter Frank Warren: “I am thrilled to be delivering a Tyson Fury world title defence in front of the British fans in London.
“I am also delighted that we have added Daniel Dubois to the card with a first defence of his WBA belt against Kevin Lerena.
“It makes it a real heavyweight night, and Daniel represents the best of the new generation coming through.”

Re: Fury Vs Chisora 3 - December 2022
Oleksandr Usyk has said Tyson Fury’s decision to fight Derek Chisora for a third time “makes me laugh”.
Usyk was ringside at Vasyl Lomachenko’s fight against Jamaine Ortiz on Saturday, and when asked about Fury’s decision to fight Chisora again, the 35-year-old told ESPN: “At this moment, it kind of makes me laugh.
“Why is he doing this? I think we already agreed to a fight with him, and now he’s running and saying I don’t want to fight him.
“I know that [he is scared of me].”

I don't know if Fury is scared of Usyk. But he's always been a bit unhinged.

I don't know if Fury is
scared of Usyk. But he's always been a bit unhinged.
I think Usyk is being deliberately provocative to get Fury to fight him next. Only way for him to get the unification fight which I am sure Fury is desperate to secure himself. It will happen early next year but Usyk sounding out Wilder is just in case it does not happen. Smart moves from Usyk.

Re: Fury Vs Chisora 3 - December 2022
Has this thing really sold 60,000 seats already ??
Can't believe I'm saying this but really going off Fury - did you see him with True Geordie on youtube who only said what the rest of us are thinking. What a prick.
Watch the last 3 or so minutes for Tyson laying into him.

Re: Fury Vs Chisora 3 - December 2022
I don’t even think Fury was that angry. He’s just putting on a show as always.
Best part was when the Geordie guy said “have you worked out how to switch that phone off yet as Fury was trying to coolly cut him off but was fumbling around like a dick. ;D;D;D;D;D

Re: Fury Vs Chisora 3 - December 2022
Barry McGuigan says Tyson Fury needs to beat Oleksandr Usyk to cement his legacy
“Tyson Fury is a proven world champion, but if he wants his record to stack up alongside the greats he has to make the big fights happen."
“Muhammad Ali’s record includes wins over a raft of legendary opponents including Sonny Liston, Floyd Patterson, Ernie Terrell, Joe Frazier, George Foreman, Ken Norton, Ron Lyle and Earnie Shavers."
“Fury has fought only two opponents of real significance, Wladimir Klitschko and Deontay Wilder."
“The Wilder trilogy was fantastic but not enough to secure a legacy that ranks alongside that other British great Lennox Lewis, for example.
“Take Wilder out of it and Fury’s record since deposing Klitschko seven years ago does not bear scrutiny.”
“Fighting Derek Chisora is below the required standard.
“There is very little risk in this fight.
“Fury is just filling a date in the calendar.
“He should be fighting the best, not going over old ground against an opponent he has already outclassed twice.
“Fury’s path to a higher elevation in the pantheon is clear. There has to be jeopardy in the contest. This means sharing a ring with the Usyks and Joshuas of this parish not the Chisoras.”

Re: Fury Vs Chisora 3 - December 2022
When asked if he will retire should he overcome the odds and defeat Fury on fight night, Chisora told iD Boxing: "I don't know, it's like getting with the hottest chick and you go to a hotel room and you bust a nut. Should you carry on? Or should you pack your bags and go? You carry on for more rounds until you can't do it anymore, that's it."

Re: Fury Vs Chisora 3 - December 2022
Eddie Hearn estimates that Tyson Fury vs Derek Chisora III will do between 200,000 and 300,000 PPV buys - the lowest number ever recorded by The Gypsy King. Many fans have expressed their displeasure at a third fight between the pair given the conclusive nature of their previous two encounters back in 2011 and 2014.
And that was only furthered when the premium £26.95 BT Sport PPV price was announced on Tuesday. @MrJGFT tweeted: "That is dreadful! There's going to be a lot of streaming happening that night if people can be bothered to watch it!"
@boxingBlade added: "I love both fighters, and I did have a very small interest in the fight but that has just made the whole thing even more laughable! £26.95 for a fight nobody wants to see is mockery to boxing! Shame on you Tyson! I thought you was better than that."
Before @TheBlueDodger concluded: "Stadium and a UK record £26.95 PPV price for Fury v Chisora 3. @tyson_Fury, @FrankWarren and @BTSportBoxing have had a stinker here! Cost of living crisis, be mad to pay it!"
The price hike matches the record for the highest British PPV fee alongside Anthony Joshua's rematch with Oleksandr Usyk in August. With the current cost of living crisis and the low appetite for the fight, to begin with, Hearn isn't expecting the event to do well.
"I think it does between 200,000 and 300,000 buys and they probably need between 400,000 and 500,000," Hearn told iD Boxing. "Listen, Tyson Fury's a huge star and he's not going to be boxing for small money. I know what Derek Chisora's making, I think most people do and if the tickets haven't quite sold as well as anticipated, you're under a lot of pressure.

Re: Fury Vs Chisora 3 - December 2022
Derek Chisora using secret new training method for Tyson Fury fight as details emerge
Chisora said: "Doing Pilates twice per week has helped with my breathing as well as feeling freer in my upper body, especially after sparring. It's also great for my recovery."
Pilates - which involves breathing exercises and stretching, similar to yoga - has been shown to improve flexibility and strength in athletes and has been incorporated into the routines of many boxers including Shawn Porter, Floyd Mayweather, Keith Thurman, and Adrien Broner.
Chisora's head trainer, Don Charles, attests to its benefits. "As part of Derek's fight and recovery programme, we're currently working with Exhale Pilates London. "We've seen massive improvement with both his punching power and overall performance in preparation for his big fight, all thanks to Pilates."
Del Boy's Pilates teacher Gaby Noble added: "Derek has incorporated two Pilates sessions with me per week for the past eight weeks as part of his recovery programme.
"His sessions are no more than 30 minutes and they come straight after sparring. We predominantly work on breathing exercises, movements to calm his central nervous system down, and releasing tension in his shoulder girdle, arms and hips to reverse the signs of the continuous impact from being in the ring.'
"Breathing exercises help muscles to recover and boost his stamina by increasing his lung capacity. Lengthening muscles in his arms from a strong core can also give him a longer and more connected reach. Let's hope we can see the results on Saturday!'.
"Pilates gives the tools for a stronger foot-to-hand connection as Pilates teaches you how to use your whole body. It also helps with balance and control."

Re: Fury Vs Chisora 3 - December 2022
"The haters are going to hate but don't criticise this fight because we are going to throw our hands when the bell goes," insisted Fury, the undefeated World Boxing Council heavyweight champion.
"I’m going to box his head off. I’m feeling good, I’m feeling on fire. I’m looking to get him out of there, I’m looking for a fourth clean knock-out in a row. Whether it will be quick or not, it will last as long as Derek wants.”
“Look, we want to give the fans a good fight so we figured out that once the ref reads out the instructions, we’re not going to go back to our corners, we’re just going to stand there and let it go from there," said Chisora.
“Let me tell you, that man there and me, we love to fight," explained Chisora. “We shook on it [to go at it from the first bell] traveller style. We didn’t bet on it, we just said we would stay in the middle and get on with it. We will go when the first bell goes, no walking back. There are going to be fireworks in there.
"We’re in the business of fighting. We’re not in the business of robbing the public of their money. After all is said and done, we will break bread together. But for however long the fight goes for, we’re going to go to war.
"There is enough bad stuff happening in the world, so this needs to be exciting. We don’t listen to our teams, we do what we want to make ourselves happy.
"If I listened to people," said Chisora,"I’d be f------ retired by now.”
“Usyk means nothing to me at this moment," said Fury. "Usyk is not on my radar, Chisora is and winning against him."
