Arthur Abraham is always defensive, except for the last 20 seconds of a round. I think Andre Dirrell hit harder than Arthur Abraham expected, he hit Arthur Abraham with some very flush hard left hand counters, and the knockdown was pretty solid aswell.
But i do feel Arthur Abraham was coming on, and he did deserve a knockdown aswell. Andre Dirrell did look hurt from that knockdown and who knows what might of happened, but still you don't hit a man when he is down.
And he deserved to be DQ end of, and looking at the shot again. It was more solid than i thought it was the 1st time.
Re: Abraham - Dirrell fight thread
AAs cheating ass needs to man up and just move on...
This makes the tourney much more interesting.
Re: Abraham - Dirrell fight thread
I will give credit to Dirrell for boxing well in the first half of the fight, but I am quite upset that the fight had to end like that. A bit of a let down, Dirrell on the way to getting stopped anyway. Abraham stops him next time they meet.
Re: Abraham - Dirrell fight thread
i THINK dirrell assumed that he was legit KOd and got a crooked DQ win
anyway abraham is a scumbag
he sees dirrell is down, thinks about throwing a left, decides to throw a right instead
Re: Abraham - Dirrell fight thread
Well they say when you go to the other guys backyard youve gotta knock em out to get a draw. Arthur did that but got DQ'd for it.
We knew summat corrupt would happen when a Michigan fighter got a home ref in Michigan. Arthur got cut by a headbutt but no warnings to Direll . He was also hit low many times without warning. Arthur also scored a clean knockdown the round before and wasnt awarded it. Total farce like Ward vs Kess.
Re: Abraham - Dirrell fight thread
What a strange fight....! Wonderful? Maybe not...
I honestly think that AA wasn't aware that Dirrell was completely grounded and I DO think Dirrell was playing up. Having said that... All's fair in Love & War... Dirrell deserved the win.
Re: Abraham - Dirrell fight thread
Dirrell fought well for most of that fight. What the hell was Abraham thinking, he was clearly down
Re: Abraham - Dirrell fight thread
Wow, that was a bizarre ending. Man, Dirrell is literally like a woman, whining, crying,Let me breath man, Let me breath man"..... strange if you ask me. He just schooled AA fr almost 10 rounds. Sorry though man, after watching a few more replays, Dirrell absolutely faked that, no way was he knocked out. I think he was embarassd by his own bulshit then thats why he had to get out of there and not wanting to talk.... Just weird....

;D
It was the eleventh round. He may have gotten stopped, emphasis on may.
Its hilarious how easy AA is getting off on here. Dude whines constantly about nonexistent low blows and then hammers a dude when he's CLEARLY down.
Re: Abraham - Dirrell fight thread
Sorry for my last post but I didnt expect to be able to get on the website during a major fight.....;D
Sucks to see the fight end that way......Dirrell had an easy win in his pocket.
I just hope Dirrell is ok, seems a little out of it.

what!?!? :D:D:D
dirrell also had a 2nd knockdown that wasnt conted so thats irrelevant
i cant see how that was in ANY way a bad DQ, abraham clearly knew what he was doing

My God. ;D
You can knock someone out who's on their knees? ;D
Cole missed two KD's, one for each guy and AA whined constantly about borderline, at best, low blows.
Re: Abraham - Dirrell fight thread
They were interviewing the doctor while you could see Andre in the background still flapping his lips, spouting out utter nonsense. :lolhaha:
The doctor was like: "We are worried that his brain might be bleeding..."
Then shouldn't you be f*cking attending to him instead of discussing it on TV? ;D
What a circus.

i wouldnt be shocked if it was faked, it did seem like he made eye contact with abraham and gave him an angry look before reacting to the punch, but abraham should have been dqd for that even if dirrell wasnt phased
Re: Abraham - Dirrell fight thread
Strange ending.
Dirrell slipped in that corner again, and Abraham certainly hit him while he was down, the replays showed it was a big shot.
I'm not surprised Abraham got DQ'd for that one, Dirrell reaction's did appear delayed though.
