Sam Peter tried his damnedest...he was throwing for effect, but Wlad's punches just landed cleaner and Sam had to work harder for less. The only part where Sam didn't do any favors for himself was when HE instigated the clinches and didn't do work. If you want to beat or at least land cleanly vs Wlad you initiate the clinch, break it off, and let your hands go.
Wlad did a great job in there...I think letting off the gas a bit in the 4th allowed the fight to go longer, but hell you don't know how much someone else can take, you only know how much you can dish out and if Wlad took a rest that's fine by me given his history.
Sam Peter was in great shape moved his head well and really looked physically impressive in there, but he couldn't punch in combinations, and couldn't utilize angles. The better fighter won but big ups to Sam Peter for getting in the ring and giving it a great effort...it was a better effort than most have put up.
Peter looked good-ish for about 90 seconds of round one. By round four he couldn't even swing his arms above Wlad's chest.
Please stop comparing Wlad to Lennox Lewis. Peter is nothing but a big lumbering static target. Lewis would have destroyed him inside two rounds.
Right right and Haye will have him out in 60 seconds. Not saying wlad would beat lewis but don't think this version of wlad gets knocked out in 2 rounds by anyone.
I think he meant Peter pal.
Also if Lennox caught Wlad clean in the first 2 rounds believe me he WOULD go.

...who's comparing him to Lewis? It ain't like Lennox didn't have his fair share of dozers that ended in KO's...look at the fight vs Bruno, that was piss poor.

I said Lewis would KO Peter in two rounds.
Wlad would get sparked in one by Lewis. Fact/.
Re: Booth v Molitor/ Wlad - Peter RBR
yeah just reread the post sorry misread, but i doubt lewis would have peter out in 2, you can say he's slow and static but he still takes a nice punch.

It was a piss poor performance on Lewis' side but at least it provided drama. Wlad could do too if he just had more confidence in himself. You could hear Manny getting frustrated with him at the end of round 9 telling him he needs to put the combos together to finish this guy (or something along those lines).

Yeah exactly.
Because Peter has a solid chin i'll give him just over four minutes with Lennox.

Honestly mate it's not worth it.
It was the same as any other 'Klitschko vs fat guy who can't move properly' fight.

It was only drama for the Brits who thought Franky had any chance

Facts are facts though Lyle. Bruno DID cause Lewis trouble so obviously he did have a chance. I think it was more due to Lennox underestimating Bruno than Bruno's ability but he definitely caused trouble.

:vd: .....whatever dude, the guy is a dominant champion and soon to be an all-time great and you've got 3-4 more years of him so just deal with it.

Do you really think it'll take 3-4 more years for the Haye fight to come off??

No...I'm not worried about it to be honest if Chicken Little man's up, fine, if not, fine. I'm saying Wladimir will continue to run the division for 3 to 4 more years....he'll have a hard time finding meaningful fights, but NOBODY has a good skill set to beat him, no one is as polished a fighter as he is, and no one is tough enough to take all that punishment and win rounds away from him. Right now, Wlad is pretty much as dominant as every other all time great heavyweight in history, he looks unbeatable. Sure his fights aren't smooth and he doesn't take a ton of damage getting the job done but he is dominant.
His record may never match the Joe Louis', Ali's, Holmes', Lennox Lewis', Evander Holyfield's of the past but he's just as dominant as those guys ever were...probably hasn't lost a round since the Calvin Brock fight.

Thats because everyone he has fought since Brock (not that he was any good) has been shit. All the above names would have done a more impressive job on all Wlads opponents easy and you could add names like Tyson, Bowe, Foreman and so on. They were all way, way better than Wlad.
The Roy Jones that moved upto HW to fight Ruiz wouldn't have lost a single round to any of the recent Wlad opponents and thats a blown up MW FFS.
