Re: Danny Garcia vs. Amir Khan Saturday night fight thread
Disappointed with the Haye fight.
Do not care if I am a spoilsport but so glad Khan got Knocked Out.
If Garcia tests positive does he get his title back a second time????
'By 28 I'll have done everything I want in boxing': Amir Khan's plans to retire in three years
Looks like his prophecy will come sooner than he thinks.

He was in better shape after the 3rd KD than the 1st two.
Absolutely. It should have been stopped after the 1st KD- Bayliss was practically carrying him.
But he was much more with it after the 3rd KD but the stoppage still saved him from being carried out.

Well...... his dad's still an idiot.... but he loves his son, and Danny did a great job in there tonight. Danny also comes across as a nice guy, so good for him. Great fight!!
Yeah, still a bit of an idiot, but less of one after his son gave him some redemption, the father should be grateful to his son for that, imagine what an ass dad would have looked like if Danny had lost.
I agree, great fight, BTW, lots of Khan haters on the forum ain't there. :-X
I've never liked him. I'm consistent
You don't like anybody
Not true, I can name at least 7 I can bear to be round

Khan just does not learn, surely he must have seen Garcia fight and noticed he has
a huge left hook, yet he paid the price yet again. He looked good in the first two rounds
when he was throwing punches and getting away from Garcias counters,
but then he fell into his old habits again and bingo good night Vienna. Garcia
deserves a lot of credit he is teak tough and looks real big at 140. Maybe a
fight with Pac Man is down the line for him?.

It's called humour you should try it, I have not changed a jot but again your preconceptions paint a different picture.
It's alright.... you can share your pain.
What is it, all the Calzaghe criticisms you've read? Is it the Khan loss?
People dissing Haye? C'mon man.... let it out.
You'll feel liberated. I'll even lend a sympathic ear.
Re: Danny Garcia vs. Amir Khan Saturday night fight thread
Stand up, Philadelphia. Wow. After Bernard Hopkins lost to Bad Chad Dawson, Randall Bailey and Guillermo Rigondeaux starched Mike Jones and Teon Kennedy respectively, it looked like it would be a while before the City of Brotherly Love had another champion to call its own. It turned out to be not very long at all. With regard to the fight itself, goes to show you that timing can nullify speed. Am I correct in saying that Garcia may be the best current prime Puerto Rican fighter (I know he was not born on the island, but he is of descent)? He's got to be up there. What's next in line for Mr. Garcia? Juan Manuel Marquez? Marcos Maidana? Timothy Bradley has exited the division permanently for welterweight, otherwise, Timothy Bradley?
General Observation: Wasn't yesterday a brilliant day for boxing? Two entertaining fights; two uncontroversial endings. :appl:

For all the hate Khan is getting right now, and he deserves some of it, no doubt, the guy has a sh*t ton of mettle. Whenever he is rocked, which happens often with his chin, he get back up and tries to go on. I have to give him credit for that.
