They fought 4 times as amateurs, Maidana won 3 and one draw. I know its a different game in the pros but mightnt be as one sided as you think
Blimey, can't believe that. Maybe it shows how much Matthysse has improved (which he's clearly done in his last few fights).

He absolutely would slaughter him. Matthysse hits harder, is a better boxer, has better defence (for once), probably has faster hands and feet (again, for once), and has a better chin. Maidana was getting hit and rocked by almost every hard punch Lopez threw, a fight with Matthysse wouldn't be competitive.
And I say that as someone who is a big fan of Maidana.
