Re: Prizefighter: The International Heavyweights Nov 14
Joshua's opponent was complete pony but he went 6 rounds with Hughie Fury the other week, so at least you can judge Joshua with the form of other prospects.
Hector Alfredo Avila is the boxrec opponent for next week. He went 9 rounds with Chisora earlier in the year.
I think it's great Joshua and Luke Campbell are fighting so regular. Big difference to the last lot of Olympians. Five fights in two months instead of five fights in 12 months.

Pretty shit Prizefighter last night I thought.
Hate to say it but Audley would have made that more interesting to watch.
I wanna see Joshua in with someone whos gonna hit him back in maybe 3-4 fights time too.
No use to him at all that guy last night infact hitting a punch bag would have been just as good a workout, at least the bag would have swung back.
I like Joshua and think he has some very good tools but fingers crossed he's got a decent chin.
Hopefully we will see him tested sometime next year , I understand he's being fed walkovers but the guy last night was a joke and the worst he's faced so far.
Lets hope Saturday proves more of a test ;-)
i like audley in prizefighter
they should have a who can beat audley in prizefighter series

Regarding Toney.
As I said, if Bernard Hopkins was faced with some novices he would probably not get to the final over 3 the rounds format. Toney has always been a slow starter. He pushed Lucas Browne 12 rounds this year while weighing 250lbs. Lucas Browne just beat up Hayes top sarring partner;D
Toney still has something to offer over 12 rounds. Those who haven't boxed don't and say he looked fucked over just 3 rounds, don't realise how much more intense the pace is over those 3 rounds than pacing yourself over 12.
Get a world class marathon runner and ask them to do the 100 or 200 meters. 2 different things. Put Gavern in with Toney over 12 and it would be a different story, even though Toney could have got the nod last night.
Gavern landed a clean left hook on Toney and dropped himself;D
Regarding Joshua. Yes he's looking ok and looking more impressive than Hughie Fury over the same level of opposition but just as Price was he is not learning how to handle any pressure as yet and to be fair he shouldnt have to as hes only had 3 fights. Just remember though how impressive Price was looking before facing someone who doesnt fall over before you go over board in praise.
In fact I think hes going to suffer the same thing as Price in that hes too powerfull and sharp for the likes that hes supposed to learn against and when the time comes to move up, he wont have had any real hard learning fights.
Re: Prizefighter: The International Heavyweights Nov 14
Watching the Toney Gavern fight again, Toney should have got all three rounds. You listen to the commentators and are led to believe that Gavern is doing a lot more. He's missing everything and just pushing Toney in to the ropes. Actually watch it again and Toney is landing all the shots. His still poor balance gives Gaverns shots the look that they are effecting Toney.
Re: Prizefighter: The International Heavyweights Nov 14
Price has only had 17 fights in over 4 years. Joshua will be having 5 fights in two months. If Joshua has had only 17 fights in four years time obviously something went badly wrong.

Do you really get any pleasure watching him in the ring, now? Have mercy on the guy, let him fade away.
last night was the first time ive seen toney fight when it actually happened
Re: Prizefighter: The International Heavyweights Nov 14
Toney has some really devoted fans;D He can't do anything to anyone over 12 rounds, if he fights any kind of decent opponent again it's just a question of whether he'll be stopped for the first time, who want's to see that.
