Re: Ricky Burns vs. Terence Crawford
Crawfords a card aint he ;D
Odd post fight. I was fully expecting some kind of 'Im injured, my hearts not in it any more' speech. Didn't happen but what went on in the ring suggested he didn't fancy it at all.

Wasn't what I was expecting  both guys very humble. Crawford seemed very sedate :-\ but was great not to see any bullsh-t thug persona's ;D

Basically Burns said he lost to the better guy and Crawford said he was over the moon despite looking like his entire family had just been slaughtered.
We may get different interviews but lets be honest they're going to say the same thing over and over again until the post fight press conference is over.
Re: Ricky Burns vs. Terence Crawford
Burns is finished at world level for me, ain't got it in him anymore and was totally outclassed, didn't wanna mix it in the exchanges and Crawford looks a good fighte.
Was impressed with Joshuas handspeed earlier!!

I diasgree about him being finished at world level. Vazquez and Abril arent really anything special and Vazquez in particular would be a 50-50 fight.
I had it 116-112 and i was being kind. Burns won 1 & 2 and i thought 3 & 9 were close so figured the judges gave them to Burns as figured anything close would go his way. Still dont buy the Crawford hype. He is lazy in spurts and his classy looking combos aint as accurate as Sky was making them out to be.
After 1 defense Bob will mention him as a viable Pacquiao opponent.

Lets see Burns rematch Beltran first ;)
He'll lose if he does and he'll lose again against Crawford.
He just seems to be getting worse every fight, for me the wheels still turning but the hamsters knackered;D

Again i disagree. He was never world class, juat pretty good. He's looked worse because his opposition has gotten better. On the plus side Crawford is the best he's fought and for me he looked better tonight than he did in his previous 2.

Didn't he just lose his world title?;D

The speed in which people get written off these days never ceases to amaze me.

Please understand that im not writing Ricky off. I just always felt he overachieved. He's a good fighter but I always felt he wasn't a world class fighter, just pretty good.
The words "world class" get thrown about so much that they lose meaning.
Re: Ricky Burns vs. Terence Crawford
There's 80+ "world" champions plus dozens of former "world" champions and challengers.
Burns is a proven world-class lightweight. He's not an elite fighter like Mayweather or Ward or Martinez etc, but neither are the vast majority of "world-class" fighters out there.

Exactly. Burns was never elite.. he always just got by barely..
