When to me i don't care where someone comes from if im not fan of his style then i can't force myself to like his style just because he comes from England but i still get called a traitor so there you go but i couldn't careless because we are all individuals and we all have different kinds of tastes so to them people who are calling me a traitor can stick it where the sun don't shine.
This is what I meant when I said Mayweather's fights are boring. I just don't like his style. Better, I like boxers who takes risks and give fans a show of true courage of toe to toe fighting.
Doesnt take risks? PBF has gone up 24 pounds in weight since he started. If he didnt want to take risks he could have just stayed at 130 and 135 and been the best super feather/lightweight maybe ever. If he had done that his fights would be more exciting cos he could stand toe to toe with anyone 135 and under and still beat them.
it's clear that you haven't understand the risk that I was talking. Th risk that one takes during fights in the ring. Not the risk of going up and fighting. The risk of moral hazard not the risk of adverse selection, in business finance language.

And u are not listening. When he was at the lighter weights he stood toe to toe with fighters and beat them easily. Please look at his earlier fights. If he had stayed at those weights he probably would still be fighting like that but as a fighter gets in against bigger stronger fighters they have to adjust. If your boy Pac goes up a little further in weight he to will have to slug less or he'll get beaten up by bigger fighters.

pacquiao started from 106 lbs to 130 lbs.that's 24 pounds up. now tell me, has he changed his style of brawling? Even if Pacquaio goes to 135, that would be 29 pounds higher than his original weight, he would still be brawling cos the guy has courage. a factor obviously considered by many to be lacking in mayweather. Hope you now see my point.

Does Pac look small at 130? No. Does Pbf look small at 154? Yes. Fact is Pacs height and frame are suited to 130, whereas Pbf is nowhere near a natural 154 guy. When is the last time Pac has been hugely outsized by hos opponent? Never. If he does brawl at 135 or even 140, he will get KTFO, and look stupid. Bravery is no good if u ge beaten.

Pacquaio, being beaten in 135? are you serious? who's gonna beat him there? Diaz?

For your information, Manny had been outsized many times but he survived it all with ease that's why you hardly notice it. It's like tyson being outsized by berbick but still overpowering the latter. Many hardly noticed the size difference coz tyson was simply overpowering him. clarified with the size thing?

Re: Mayweather Hatton faceoff!!
casamayor beating Pacquaio? lol

Re: Mayweather Hatton faceoff!!
Professional career of casamayor
He won the NABF Super Featheweight title in 1999. Later that year, he won the WBA Super Featherweight title. In 2002, he lost that title in a unification bout with WBO champion Acelino Freitas. In 2004, Diego Corrales, whom Casamayor stopped in 2003, defeated him for the vacant WBO Super Featherweight title. Casamayor failed to take the WBC Lightweight title from José Luis Castillo later that year. After the loss to Castillo Casamayor's career appeared to be in a downward spiral and he was set up with rising prospect Almazbek Raiymkulov in June of 2005. In a spirited battle the bout ended in a draw, with many believing that Casamayor's best days were behind him. After two bouts against little known opposition, in October of 2006, Casamayor yet again took on the popular Diego Corrales, and defeated him by split decision, winning the WBC Lightweight title.

Re: Mayweather Hatton faceoff!!
Where's the chance of beating Pacquaio there?
-
Re: Mayweather Hatton faceoff!!
Casamayor is very good fighter make no mistake about it he could be undefeated all of his losses have been razor thin decision's i would make it 50-50 Pac vs Cas at Lightweight.

60-40 Pac beating Casamayor would be a more rational thinking considering that Casamayor has not really convincingly won against any tight opposition.

Well considering Pac has never fought at Lightweight and we don't know how his power would fare at Lightweight 50-50 is about right.
-
Re: Mayweather Hatton faceoff!!
okay. since we are simply hypothesizing. It would be great then for Pacquaio to go up to 135. Expect pacquaio to go up to 135 next year. Maybe against Diaz first to clear the lightweight of bogus champions.
-
Re: Mayweather Hatton faceoff!!
Well I don't see how you can say Floyd has no courage just because he doen't brawl. Why should he when he can embarass people by making them look silly ??? Be thankful Pac will never fight Floyd as that would be really embarassing. Boxing is called the Sweet Science because it's about hitting more than getting hit, and there aren't many better than Floyd. I'll agree with you Mr. Lee about liking to see 2 guys just going to war and leaving it all out there, Ward/Gatti type fights, but look what happens to them when they hit a Floyd Mayweather. Excitement is in the eye of the beholder I suppose, but a technically perfect virtuoso like Floyd is as exciting to me as watching 2 guys beat each others brains into jelly. And Floyd won't have to spend a bunch of his money on doctors when he gets older because all his functions will still be there.

I would like Pac to stay where he is theres plenty of fights to be made there instead of handicapping himself moving up to Lightweight.

I was asking. you never had the courage to reply coz you don't know. Good for ICB coz he knows some boxing and he did reply.

Im sure that Diaz would be no push over for Pac like u say. Im sure Casamayor would give Pac the fight of his life.
So answer me who are these guys that massively outsized Pac when he fought them? Come on, who are they?

Freddie Roach said he wouldn't let Pacquaio any where near Casamayor. Which is why he turned down the fight after the second Morales fight. And I don't blame them. Casamayor rough style would be to much for Pac. Last time Pacquaio faced a similar rough style (against the late Agapito Sanchez) he almost quit.

That's the difference between me and you. I watch fights and go by what I see. You just read about fights and go by other people's opinion. I'm starting to wonder if your even a true Pac since it's obvious you haven't seen the Sanchez fight.
-
Re: Mayweather Hatton faceoff!!
Fight with agapito was a draw. It was bloody dirty. Here's the link to remind you of what happened that time.
http://www.boxingtimes.com/analyses/...o_sanchez.html
-
Re: Mayweather Hatton faceoff!!
excerpts from that news:
The IBF champion Pacquiao received the worst of it after suffering a savage cut on his right eyelid in the first round, following an accidental clash of heads. Accidental is a less than accurate word because Mr. Sanchez has a long history of using his skull as a battering ram.
-
Re: Mayweather Hatton faceoff!!
here's more:
Referee Marty Denkin also deducted two points from the WBO king Sanchez in the third and the fourth rounds, first for lacing Pacquiano's eyes with the back of his glove and then for a deliberate low blow. Pacquiao spent almost four minutes on the deck trying to recover from the shot to the groin and a left hook to the back of the head.
-
Re: Mayweather Hatton faceoff!!
now you understand why Roach does not want the likes of agapito? We need to protect our boxers from fighters who play dirty.

Prepare to be schooled.
Lets look at Pacs last few opponents.
Manny pac 5 foot 7
Jorge Solis. 5 foot 8. Only fight at 130 was moving up to fight Pac.
Erik Morales 5 foot 8. Most of career at 122, 126 and 130.
Oscar Larios. 5 foot 7 moved up from 122 to 130 to fight Pac.
Hector Velazquez. 5 foot 7. Has fought most of career at 126 and 130
Fahsan 3k Battery 5 foot 6. has fought mainly between 120 126.
Juan Manuel Marquez. 5 foot 7 Has fought betwwen 120 130.
Marco Antonio Barrera. 5 foot 6 began career at 110.
Now which one of these guys is the monster, much bigger fighter that Pac has fought?

when you talk about bigger fighter you don't talk about height alone especially in the lower division. most of them has longer reach. Search more.I will be glad to be schooled.... if you can.

Have watched the fight VD. have I told you before that I have even watched Manny's fights even when he was still starting? It was in blow by blow. I know how the guy rose to the top. The first time I saw him fight (during his first fights) I know the guy will be going somewhere. so I followed his career faithfully.
You can't claim that I haven't seen his fights.

If you seen the fight than you'll know Sanchez style was giving Pac all kinds of trouble. And not just with the fouls. Pac was having a hard time finding his groove. He seem happy to get out of the fight. I know cuz I'm watching the fight right now. It was on the Floyd Mayweather-Jesus Chavez under card.

Re: Mayweather Hatton faceoff!!
mayweather is obviously underestimating hatton and will pay the price, ko for hatton 5.
if mayweather tries to come forward as he "claims" he will it will be perfect for hatton...thats what he's used to. no disrespect to pbf but i'd love to see him put on his ass!!
-
Re: Mayweather Hatton faceoff!!
you are watching with a bias view. Anybody who is being played dirty would always feel uncomfortable. Pacquaio fights clean. It is not his nature to play foul. When you meet somebody who plays dirty, you won't like it either VD. Try to put on Pacquaio's shoes and you will understand what I mean.
