Just another one of Wacko's Drunken Round by Rounds Cotto vs Mosley

It was scored well. Played out how I predicted with Cotto UD, but I did not expect Cotto to finish up on the backfoot like that.


A lot of credit to Shane, he fought like a lion. Was disappointed his arsenal only really consisted up a lefts and right upstairs..all from the same angles. I thought he would mix it up more.

And if Ice had it 6=5 for Cotto going into the 12th then Mosley won the 12th so then Ice would have it 6-6 wouldnt he?

Shane said he would consider the rematch...but he didn't really seem like he wanted it. Said that the Welter division is pretty tuff!

I was thrilled shitless that Cotto proved me wrong. Seriously...I really don't know how well I would have felt in the morning after a Cotto loss. Seriously....that was a glorious bout.

Shane is a real class act. He is a credit to the sport to admit defeat like that and give Cotto credit.

Im going to watch fight again tommorow then make a poll but i see it 7-5 for Cotto i thought he was gone in the 10th and he comeback what a fighter Cotto is.

Thanks a lot Wacko CC Sounds like a great fight though it still seems to me Shane fought dumb, congratulations to Cotto.

I honestly had it a draw, but shane gave him his props and wasn't disappointed with the outcome, so I shouldn't be either. I'd love to see a rematch, though it would probably be almost identical in outcome. Mayweather will give Cotto a ride, but I won't count Cotto out. Shane had a pumpkin head. Good fight though. At least I made a right prediction on Margarito.

I had Cotto 6-5 ahead going into 11th Cotto landed more accurate shots and just stole the round arguement could be made for draw but imo Cotto just got the nod.

Lederman has a history of doing this to avoid draws. I can't name any fights, but I vaguely remember two instances in which he did this.

Cotto circled for atleast the second half of the 12 round as if he thought he had the fight won. He didn't stand toe to toe with Mosley in the 12th and in no way deserved to win the round. Wacko, you spoke out of both sides of your mouth on this post. What you said is a contradiction.

Saying Cotto did nothing for the last four rounds makes me wonder if you were even watching the fight.

The only thing that I agree on is that Mayweather vs Cotto does not need to happen.

But after Floyd walks through Hatton...I imagine that that will be the fight all boxing fans want.

Hats off to Cotto. I still don't particularly like him, and I was rooting for Mosley, but I thought the decision was accurate. The fight was indeed close, but Cotto just landed more clean punches. I was pissed at Shane until his interview, I thought he danced around and played defense way too much instead of attacking as he should have. But as has already been mentioned, he's just too much of a classy and likeable guy to be pissed at, and that's why I was rooting for him! Much respect to both fighters!

Yea i noticed that Wacko Mosley even said after 2nd Winky fight that he thought he deserved decision but he didn't say that after Cotto fight which is quite strange becase Winky won 2nd Mosley fight by atleast 3 rounds and that was easy fight to score its obvisious by what Mosley was saying that he doesn't want a rematch.

I thought it was interesting that Mosley was pushing the action in spots...I really expected Cotto to be the one pushing Shane to the ropes...not the other way around. Damn! I'll need to watch this one sober, cause I'm too drunbk too cal it right.

I thought Shane eked it out, but it was close enough that I won't bitch about the decision.

I will say that I'm proud of both fighters - just what the sport needs is more guys like these two.

I demand a Cotto/Margarito fight ;D Damn I can't wait to see what's next for Miguel. I see the Sad Click nazis have been out tonight; guess people got upset about my strong disdain for Kreepy Kellerman. :lickish:

Wacko i feel the fight didn't quite live up to the hype it was good fight but i was expecting bit more there was quite alot of wrestling and clinching.

Mosley got that one. Cotto was the more dominant of the two for the majority of the match & as I said...there aint a human on the face of the planet that can convince me that Cotto wasn't hurt down the stretch by Shane.

Honestly...I was afraid that he had broken his right hand or some shit. It didn't look like Shane did anything in the 9th to hurt him...but something went wrong. They said that that cut opened up in his mouth from the Judah fight...that was a HORRIBLE cut...but I saw no blood.

Oh well...either way...he won & Mosley weren't denying it or rushing in for a second bout.

I have no clue how anyone could give Cotto the 12th. I had Shane winning 115-113 and was VERY impressed at his aggressiveness during the last half of the fight. I thought he won 5 of the last 6 rounds with Cotto winning 4 of the first 6, not at all what I expected given Cotto's history of coming on strong in the late rounds. I thought Shane was fading in the 5th and that Cotto would take over, but Shane put it in another gear. That said, there were several close rounds, and I can see the fight going for Cotto.

CC back Wacko; and congrats to your boy. Sure the stomach acids have subsided now for you, seeing as how Cotto pulled it off for you.
