Re: Who wins prime Lewis v prime Tyson?
I have been reading stuff on this site for a good year now and have never really felt the need to comment but i do now...
Come on i am fed up of all theses people raving about Tyson, Lennox Lewis was a far far superior boxer than Tyson ever was. I have seen every single Tyson fight (i have them on dvd), i admit they were exciting but this is only because he was beating the crap out of bums. As long as Lennox prepared and took this fight seriously he would win comfortably (the same as every other fight he took seriously, with the exception of the first Hollyfield fight where he was robbed)

Bollocks would he beat a PRIME Tyson comfortably. Maybe, Ice Cold should keep looking for some real debate!! ;) ;D
It took Lewis how many rounds to whip on a shell?! The '88 model Tyson was not willing to be whipped. He was perpetual motion, and his defence was equally his strength. Tyson would overwhelm him or at leas hit the jaw that lesser opponents were able to stop him with... ;)
Re: Who wins prime Lewis v prime Tyson?
Tyson in his prime threw 4 to 6 punches at a time lewis would'nt stop these for long he fought Tua in his prime but Tua was 1 to 2 punches at a time Tua nearly got beat by Maskaev so how people can say that it would be similar to Lewis vs Tua i don't know. yes Tyson got stopped in 8 when they did meet but even an old faded Tyson gave more than Tua so a prime Tyson would have taken him apart.Oh yes nearly forgot TYSON ALL THE WAY BABY YEAH BIG KO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

When people debate about this subject they always say oh look how long it took Lewis firstly it was one sided beating who cares secondly he hurt his right hand and couldn't throw it for a couple of rounds they say that in documentary and lesser opponents gave Tyson trouble even in his prime Tillis for crying out loud who was only a journeyman and Tucker who was only decent i mean come on when people say about Tysons superb defense it makes me laugh it honestly does Tyson used to get hit as he was rushing in and if his opponents wern't so scared they would of took advantage of it.

Maybe Ive missed much of the thread...but how would Lewis stop PRIME Tyson??
Nobody else could...Im intrigued as to how this would have been done!
Re: Who wins prime Lewis v prime Tyson?
Miles i think somebody mention no names ICE ;D does'nt like the fact the only man to ever put a proper beating on Holmes and knock him cold is Tyson.

Because Tysons opponents were either fat or just out of rehab or natural Lightheavyweights or old and past it or untested prospects.
Re: Who wins prime Lewis v prime Tyson?
A peak Tyson would beat any heavywight in history .he would have beat Lewis inside 5 rounds ,when they was kids Tyson sparked him out in sparring FACT
Re: Who wins prime Lewis v prime Tyson?
Get a grip, Lewis got beat with two lucky punches, he took the fights lightly and avenged the losses, he woz never really rocker bar these two punches. Tyson got hurt bad in his carrer.. END OF. same level of oppenents.

You keep saying this yet its weak argument its nothing to do with that its just im not one of those people who think Tyson is unbeatable.

Well you would think that your another one of these Tyson fans that make excuses for him anytime he struggles or loses and actually Lewis beat Tyson when they sparred and your bringing up sparring stories into this debate what about Greg Page flooring Tyson ?? sparring means nothing.
