Let's get one thing straight here....
Whoevers the dumb! F*** to come on here and start S***! and ride of Kess is just that a fwocken idiot.
Heres what I'm getting to.....
If Joe beats Kess regardless of how he does it, Joe will have earned the respect he has been claiming.
Whoever thinks otherwise is just a wanker and is here to start S***.
Not only that but if Joe embaresses Kess whoa!! he will def. catapult in all-time rankings and def. as one of the best fighters of our times.
I mean these are 2 fighters in their primes, undefeated, established Champs with decent records some questionable opponents. Some people say Kess has fought the more prominent names some people say Joes the one with the better quality of opposition. Whatever the case maybe they are fighting eachother and all that goes out the window come that night.
But you can't discredit their undefeated records either cause they also make for interesting talk. This is like Lloyd vs. Donald, 'Finito' vs. Alvarez as far as records or like Gonzalez vs. Carbajal, Naz vs. MAB, ODLH vs. SSM as far as fighters at their best at the time of the fight.
Also the same should apply for Kess if he defeats Joe. No excuses if Joe is the man at SMW and is defeated by Kess then Kess becomes the man at SMW.
So please Kess fans be gracious in victory and defeat don't come here just talking S***! Some of you guys give him a bad name with some of the stuff you guys post. I know those memmbers are no longer here :flush:
but to those who may come give credit to whoever wins. I know I will.

Joe in my opinion will never be regarded as an all time great by old time boxing purists :)
Re: < Let's get one thing straight here in regards to Kess vs. Joe.... >
I hope Joe fights his Jeff Lacy style, fast paced high octane. That stuff is cool. O0

Show me an arena where the fight can make as much money through ticket sales as they can in the Millenium Stadium....it's gonna be one of the biggest boxing crowds ever. They tried to get the fight made in Denmark but Mogens Palle couldn't offer his own fighter enough money....so they had to come to Britain. It is, quite simply, a question of maths, and making the biggest amount of money. Or are they in this game to earn respect from their peers?
You are right it is all about money with Joe. Thats why he doesnt get respect from his peers. As if Joe needs more money at this stage in his career. If he is a multi millionaire what more does he need?
Twenty years from now he'll be known as a fighter who dodged most of the top fighters of his era, only fought at home and was all about the money. Compare that with someone like Winky Wright who would never make as much as Joe but in twenty years time will be remembered and respected fo fighting the top guys anywhere.
I tell u now he would fill a huge stadium if he came to australia and fought Mundine. Mundine v Green had like 30000 and a fight against Calzaghe would draw a bigger crowd. Calzaghe v RJJ five years ago would have filled a big stadium and made Joe loads of money.
So dont talk rubbish.
I dont care about where Calzaghe fights. I care about who he fights.
Now he is taking the best fight possible - and if you actually would prefer him to take on Mundine instead of Kessler, let me know, as I will might as well stop the discussion right there - and people are blaming him for staging it where the most money is?
'Sure, Millenium Stadium is better for both fighter's fans, worth more for both fighters, will have greater atmosphere etc, but I still think they should prove themselves by fighting it on a another continent.' Seriously?

I'm with Preme and Mikkel on this one, and I'm sorry nonito, or eagle, or whatever else your alias might be, but you seem to have completely missed the point i was making. It was inevitable that they would have to fight each other, so should they each take the biggest payday they can by fighting in Cardiff, or should they both come to Australia and fight before about 50 people, just to prove a point? And the atmosphere at the stadium will be unrivalled, so on this one, I'm afraid, you're the one who's talking rubbish.
And CC Mikkel....i can't wait until fight night and to have a bit of banter with the Danish fans beforehand in the pubs around town.

The fight is in Wales. If Kessler dominates Calzaghe but for some reason does not get the decision. I will give Calzaghe no credit what's so ever.
What if we turn that statement on it's head..would you give Kessler any credit?
Joe was willing to travel to Denmark which is fact and financially it makes no sense for either to fight their so he can't be blamed really can he?
Oh I think there's more of a chance of Calzaghe getting a shady deal than Kessler. But if so I will give Kessler no credit as well.
and if calzaghe wins clearly, then what?
you gunna give him respect, or just talk about how he 'ducked' johnson or his a hometown fighter?
Violent D does not shy away from giving a fighter his due if it's earned. Question is can you Preme (the one with the Calzaghe poster on his bed room wall) admit your fighter is overrated if he was to easily get blown out?
Sorry im not a kid with posters on his walls or gets sent to juvi like some postes on here ::**
you already asked me this, and i answerd you... Plain and simple yes... but i know it wont happen;)
Any fighter who is said to be world class and gets 'blow out' would be overrated...
I ain't been to juvi in 13 years.
whata guy;)
We can't all grow up in an environment were you play video game all day long and have your mommy read you a bed time story before going to bed.
thats what happens in juvi over here hehehehe
;D ;D
Re: < Let's get one thing straight here in regards to Kess vs. Joe.... >
Ist round KO shares my fears! It is CERTAIN that Calzaghe will break his hand at some point, he has in all of his last 4 or 5 fights, even on Manfredo's sponge head
So my fear is a.) He can't hurt Kessler b.) he has to fight one handed and just gets picked apart
After 2 or 3 rounds there is no way JC will be throwing full blooded head shots!
These are fears, not a prediction!
My prediction is that JC will tear him a new one and win a UD
Re: Its Official!!! Calzaghe Vs Kessler NOV 3!!
Some people are so funking thick it's unbelievable.
In the first place for people to think this fight could take place on neutral ground was naive but to then question why it's in Wales when they're talking about breaking the indoor fight record with over 60,000 punters.... ::**
Re: < Let's get one thing straight here in regards to Kess vs. Joe.... >
re: broken hand
so does this mean if calzaghe loses
there is allowed to be no but but but he broke his hand so he wasnt really in it he onli hit one handed etc etc...................?????????? ;D

People always find excuses for their fave fighters losing, but if JC breaks his hand(s) that is not an excuse, it is an injury and a genuine reason. I 'd like to see some of the knuckelheads who slate him try and fight on with a broken hand. Imagine breaking your hand and then repeatedly punchinga brick wall with it ;)

Nah, it would be much better to have it in a hut in Denmark, watched by 150 people ;)

For someone who considers himself a journalist there seems to be a lot of hating going on here, and a lack of knowledge. Two fights outside the UK, that's true, but he also fought Woodhall, Starie, Eubank, Reid (granted Eubank was hated at the time) in their home country of ENGLAND. Exactly how many times did the likes of Roy Jones, Floyd Mayweather, B-hop fight outside of the US when they was number one?
It was a money issue that it would be held in Wales rather than Denmark, even if it wasn't, Joe's number 1 at the moment and it's up to the challenger to make the flight.
You can criticise some of his opponents to date, but don't you dare call him whiney ass or a coward, after the Jeff Lacy fight this will be his 2nd fight in 18 months he's fought against THE fighter considered most dangerous to him at the time, the two fighters which the so called hard core fans on websites such as this clamoured for him to fight.

Lol @ £80 - I had the same thing about 4 years ago - got jumped by 3 guys - battered one of em and got locked up and a public order offence and £80 - Koonts ;D
..and fair point about JC's hands - if they are that bad, then maybe he shouldn't fight :-\
