I sincerely hope I never see Gotti in the ring again. Then again I said that after the DLH fight. Gatti, we love you. We appreciate every great round you have given us. Please retire before you become the next Ali.

Why do you want him to lose, the guy is about as humble as they come, paid Arturo respect post fight and won by putting on a great performance.
I really Alfonso, he's a fighters fighter, not a world beater but he'll fight anybody and never gives up. To be honest he's actually the perfect type of fighter for Arturo to pass the torch onto, certainly more in the Gatti mould than Mayweather or Baldimor were, and obviously a lot more than the tall, technical fighter Chavez Jr

In comes Paul Williams.
He better shine...because Margarito's gonna try & dust his ass off!
I'm saying Margarito wins this one like he did against Cintron. This is waaaaaaaaaaaay to early a start for Williams.

Re: Wacko's Drunken RBR Gatti v Gomez, Margarito v Williams, Cintron v Matthysse
Ok apart from Cook all my fighters have won tonight, I've got £35 on Margarito in this fight so it's the big one.
I'm nervous as hell

Re: Wacko's Drunken RBR Gatti v Gomez, Margarito v Williams, Cintron v Matthysse
I just do Bilbo. Haven't liked him since I saw him fight like crap versus Carson Jones then get caught for smoking weed yet no one ever heard anything about that. I don't care if he smokes, I just hate that Nick Diaz gets a FOTY win taken away from him in Pride for it so Gomez got the backlash. Plus I like JCC Jr.
NOW...GO PAUL WILLIAMS. I like Paul, and have been following for quite a while now but this is a big fight and Margarito is the real deal. I'm a bit nervous.

Nah. Williams is the future of the welterweight division. And the future begins tonight.

I agree. I think Paul Williams took this fight too early. Going from mitchell to margarito is to big a jump in competition IMO.

Re: Wacko's Drunken RBR Gatti v Gomez, Margarito v Williams, Cintron v Matthysse
Williams is as ready as he ever will be. I mean it's not like he is going to suddenly be able to keep his hands high or not get hit in transition. Margarito isn't the best guy to capitalize on those flaws and Williams is a talent himself.
I hope he can move Margarito backwards.

Especially when Mitchell can consistently lay hands on you when with your size advantage you shouldn't be getting hit

He aint ready. Big fish in a bigger pond picking on the fish shorter and now is fighting the big fish of that pond and I don't think he's ready for what Margarito can dish out he gets hit too much and lacks in too many defensive areas for Margarito NOT to take advantage of it. The thing is whats placed on him is a RISK that he COULD be ready for this fight but he hasn't been in with anyone to test that, we'll have to see how he reacts when the going finally gets tough THEN we'll know.

Connection Problems
Sorry, SMF was unable to connect to the database. This may be caused by the server being busy. Please try again later.
I’ll be typing & post it up as long as the site comes back up & down from all the guests & traffic…it might get a bit choppy from here on out.
Be that as it may…how many guests do we have aboard the DRBR tonight? 300? 400? 500? 600?
Whatever that number may be…I tip my glass to you all in salute.
Cheers…& koneecheewah bitches…this is gonna be one hell of a brawl!
Antonio Margarito (34-4, 24 ko's) vs Paul Williams (32-0, 24 ko's) Round 1: Williams is throwing lots of shots to start…Margarito aint thrown yet. Williams hammering the guard. Jabs from Margarito. Williams cracks with the right. 1-2-3 from Margarito. Williams unloads & Margarito rips the body. Jabs from Williams. Clench. Williams fires out…the kid’s calm. Left hand from Williams. Margarito to the body. Margarito grinning. Left hand from Margarito. 1-2 from Williams. Right hand & then a left from Williams & Marg holds. Huge right from Williams stops Marg in his tracks. Body shot by Willimas. Double jab from Williams. Body shots by Williams. Body shot from Margarito…finally. William fights to the bell.
Round to Williams!
