Re: Miranda - Abraham II: RBR, Chat, Free For All
An a semi related note, Kellerman was talking about Arreolas and said something about sleep paralysis and how it happens to him once a year.
I had no idea what it was and googled it, turns out I had sleep paralysis once. It was last summer and I was convinced there was a ghost or evil spirit next to me and I literally couldnt move, like I was paralyzed with fear.
I was freaked out by it and still remember it well.
Turns out there is a logical explanation for it. Though according to wikipedia most cultures around the world do believe it has to do with a ghost or evil spirit.

Re: King Arthur vs. Pantera Miranda Fight Photos
Arthur Abraham: "I am a true champion. And a true champion has confidence. So I was here to defend the title here. There is no difference (from the last fight). Every ring is the same. In this fight, I was more cautious. The last time, I didn't pay as much attention to that. I tired him out then knocked him down.....I want to thank America for this big chance. Thank you, America. I wish for a chance to fight Oscar De La Hoya and a chance to fight Kelly Pavlik. I like America. The American people are very nice people and I'll come again.
Edison Miranda: He prepared very well. I have no quarrels tonight. He was prepared and he was very strong. I don't know what happened. I was 100% coming into this fight. I don't know. He was too strong today. He's a great champion."
I think Abraham is too strong for Dela Hoya...

Re: Miranda - Abraham II: RBR, Chat, Free For All
Berto far from sucks, he is a very good prospect with maybe the fastest hands I ever seen. Matched pretty poor tonight but they have to realize that anyone who is that slow and fights from the outside with that low output has absolutely no chance against Berto. So yeah it was a bad match up. But Berto doesn't suck and he's not boring.

Just got back from the fight. Whole crowd was stunned when Miranda first got decked. Props to Abraham though because Miranda was sharp and on his game, just got ktfo!

Even after a loss, Miranda is helping hype a potential big $$$ fight for the guy who just beat him.. Very generous.. :)

Re: Miranda - Abraham II: RBR, Chat, Free For All
abraham - de la hoya doesn't seem like it would happen.. no way does Oscar take this fight against a hard hitter like AA, when he could fight a smaller Cotto and make more money on it..
pavlik/AA would be great though..
how do you guys feel about Pascal? AA/Pascal.. i know Pascal didn't have a great fight his last time out, but he has looked good int he past..

Didn't get to see the fight... :(
Arthur looks in tremendous shape though in those shots.... He obviously came in 110% for the fight...

Re: Miranda - Abraham II: RBR, Chat, Free For All
I had to choose between HBO and Showtime, so I decided to go with the Abraham-Miranda fight in Showtime. I'm glad I did. First, I was impressed with Raul Marquez's guts and courage in the ring, and how he expresses himself after the fight. Classy guy. As for the main event, I was thoroughly impressed by Abraham, and how easily he dispatched Miranda. But somehow, I don't think he'd beat Pavlik. It'd be a great fight, tho.

Abraham has a shot against Pavlik, but if he just covers up and lets Pavlik hit him like he did with Miranda he's in trouble.

It was a very dominant display by Arthur. However the judges had Miranda ahead at the time of the stoppage.

Re: Miranda - Abraham II: RBR, Chat, Free For All
What I saw last night was Miranda left himself wide open after he threw punches, and the much smarter fighterABRAHAM did not. Miranda will have to fight the overrated Pascal, and Abraham will beat Kelly P. He has a lot more demensions then Kelly. It would be a great fight no matter who wins, but dont forget the old warrior Marquez he won his right for a piece of Abraham .

Re: Miranda - Abraham II: RBR, Chat, Free For All
Miranda got polborized again, this time by aurthor. their first fight was close plus aurthor had a broken jaw. this fight though aurthor just destroyed miranda early.
I think Miranda just talks to much of himself, its showing his not as good as he thinks he is.

Re: Miranda - Abraham II: RBR, Chat, Free For All
So I guessed he was too embrassed to go after Kelly Pavlik in the front row. That would suck being beaten by those two. EDISION...SHUT YOUR PIE HOLE AND FIGHT. NO ONE CARES ANYMORE. YOU WOULD THINK AFTER ALL OF THAT TALKING YOU WOULD HAVE A BETTER CHIN.

As harsh as this is...it's pretty damned funny & on the mark.
I agree...Miranda needs to bend over & pick his lips up offa the mat. After bumpin' his gums constantly about being the man & destroying everyone in the middleweight division...it seems to be a proven case that he can't do it at 168lbs either.

Re: Miranda - Abraham II: RBR, Chat, Free For All
Miranda will always be miranda....a guy with a big mouth who is counting on hitting you before you hit him to make up for huge lack of boxing skills. An all too played out saying fits perfect for miranda...he just is what he is. Congrats to abraham who i thought was picking on the wrong guy for his first fight here in the U.S. he even had me worried when he first started the ringwalk he looked a little taken back as he walked down. I don't see him being able to beat pavlik but he proved me wrong this weekend.
