I'm going to be away on holiday during the actual voting period, so I wanted to do mine now, if it's successful, you can either implement it now or do it at the start of January.
Anyway, my vote is that Floyd Mayweather moves above Jan Zaveck. I just can't see Zaveck being a Top 7 fighter in a division this good. His win said more to me about the weaknesses in Hlatshwayo than about how good Zaveck is & I think Mayweather being below him doesn't reflect well on our rankings.
I do think we should do something where someone can jump up 1 or 2 places based on quality, as I think the same should apply to Paul Williams in the Middleweight division, where he is certainly one of the Top 3 fighters in the division.
At least Hlatswayo was fighting welterweights!
But I see where your coming from & I'm really not too fussed. Should Mayweather beat Pacquiao he will sky rocket straight to 2nd anyway.
But for now I agree that Zaveck should be demoted below Floyd
Apart from the Marquez fight, Mayweather had fought fighters who all had credentials at Welterweight. I mean I see your point & it's why I wouldn't have had him ranked above either Mosley or Cotto when he re-entered the rankings, but he has got some merit at the weight. Let's face it we had Pacquiao ranked when he had yet to fight a welterweight (Oscar not being one in the same way Marquez wasn't).
Jan Zaveck will be demoted below Mayweather by a vote of 3 - 1
Lamont Peterson remains in the pool by a vote of 5 - 0
