Can Fury actually beat Wilder?

That alone tells me chances are slim Fury would hurt Wilder bad enough to knock him out, unless Wilder just makes huge mistake after huge mistake. A one-punch knockout by Fury I think we can all agree ain't gonna happen. Wilder knows that, and thus will be less respectful of Fury. Fury might be able to frustrate Wilder in the ring, which is his only recourse because I seriously doubt he can play with Wilder's mind like he did with Wlad's. To frustrate Wilder, he's gonna have do some grappling, some fouling, some honest-to-goodness boxing, some pot-shotting..... in short....he's gonna have to turn in the performance of a lifetime.Damn, after seeing one of the worst HW title fights ever (Fury-Wlad), followed by a pretty darn good one (AJ-Wlad)....... I just hope this is a good fight. Like I've said before, respect to Fury for taking the fight, and showing up Team Joshua in the process. Let Hearn sit on that one and simmer for awhile.

Nice breakdown.Fury has earned my respect and admiration even to a degree for taking this fight.I’m a big Joshua fan, but Fury is making him look bad by taking this fight with no fuss.I’d give Fury a 20% or 25% chance of winning. His two comeback fights were against slobs who were nowhere near as dangerous as Wilder.

It's easy to take the fight with "no fuss" when you're not the champion and have very little leverage. That said, they have actually been negotiating since early June (Frank Warren confirmed this in his Boxing Social interview), so probably for around 10 weeks. I'd hardly call that "no fuss", particularly considering it's still not even agreed.

Agree with the breakdown of the fight though. Won't end pretty for Fury. But he will talk his way into a Joshua fight.

Furys lack of power means if he is to win it has to be over 12 rounds which is a long time to be in the ring with wilder and not get hit.

]Wilder will not be able to punch up so high he is used to punching down onto people. Half of his shots he lands with the inside of his wrist or even with the base of his palm, meaning the heel of his hand. Furys corner should really Lodge a complaint before the fight about those kinds of wrist bone shots

Wilder has terrible balance and when you put that together with the ballerina like agility of Fury you can easily see that Fury will knock him out the moment that wilder lands on the wrong leg with his hands down like the clown that he really is

Let this entire Forum mark my words right now with what I'm about to say. I am the Eagle Eye of boxing and I can tell you what it's going to happen. I am the only one to mention that the one and only time that Wladimir Klitschko was off-balance in the fight if you remember he spun around off balance and Tyson Fury was on him like a cat like a bobcat I should say so that the moment that Klitschko spun around fury landed a wicked punch one of the best of the fight that really rocked Klitschko. If there was one thing about Klitschko he always had pretty perfect balance and look what happened to him the one time he lost that perfect balance for a Split Second. Now think of Deonte the gangly mess of windmill octopus tentacles scarecrow pretzel legs whatever.
