Get over it girls.
Its going to happen again and then he will beat the left overs clinging on to the scraps.
All he's proven is that he beat an Ageing previously highly regarded Champ. And if the rematch goes ahead, he'll probably do the same again! (Read that carefully, I believe he can/will do it again , I don't disrespect him.) I also give him massive credit for having the discipline to stick to an excellent game plan and I give even bigger credit to his trainer for devising the game plan.
He has to beat some or all of the Martin,Wilder, Povetkin, Haye, Joshua's etc. of this World, to get to where you're putting him.
I'm not saying he's not capable, but talk (you, not him btw) is cheap. You have to go and make your Legacy.
He's made a great start, but that is what it is, a start.

Re: Haye comeback fight on free to air tv
Where's this Fury got a bigger audience than Haye come from?
Both fights took place in 50,000 seat stadiums, as have lots of Wlad fights over the years.
There were reports that Haye-Wlad did a million Sky PPV buys, Fury-Wlad did 400k (less than AJ-Whyte). Haye-Wlad got the highest ever audience on German TV for boxing (16 million). Both fights got over a million viewers in America on HBO.

Re: Haye comeback fight on free to air tv
would fury fill the O2 against mark di mori after being out for 3 years with no undercard?
-
Shannon Briggs is in London hunting down Haye :)
Tell you what... if Haye can get the Lucas Browne fight done the UK could have 3 title holders soon.
Its definitely getting interesting again.

No, the Dusseldorf arena is 55,000 and was sold out.

Haye is talking as much shit as Briggs.
Everyone knew that Browne would be tied in to an imediate mandatory to Oquendo. This was announced months ago!
Haye wants journeymen until he gets a shot. Its no different to his first reign.

Haye-Wlad sold out 60,000. So you've fucked yourself again focusing on the most trivial point.

Lets go champ!!
I was watching some of the IFL vids. I think the old funker is funny but unfortunately an actual fight with any top fighter these days would be a joke.

What is up with you lately? Acting like a little argumentative bitch. Have you left a tampon in and got toxic shock syndrome?
Iv only ever seen the figure of 50000.The only hing Haye did more in that fight was points deducted for going down.

when you said there was a bigger audience at the fury klit fight did you mean sat in the stadium?

Chagaev v Wladimir sold out with 61,000, so clearly chagaev is the bigger draw here :S(eddie chambers was also very close to selling out the dusseldorf stadium and it might have actually been a sell out, i forget now.)
Anyway I am pretty interested to see how haye does in his comeback, he seems as popular as ever but is struggling with the tv deals and so on, hopefully this makes him push on a bit and fight more regulary and against better competition but I am not holding my breath on that one... He looked like he still has the power and hand speed but he seemed to be noticeably slower on his feet so in my opinion he is really going to have to work on that otherwise the tip top big guys will have little trouble with him .

It was sold out, I was there, allegedly there were 500m tv viewers obviously mixed ppv and others. So marginally better for the Haye fight in terms of bums on seats, and very uncomfortable they were, and very disconcerting the Klit hype was. Which is why Tyson should walk away and start a Uk title dynasty for the next few years, fuck the Klits.

Re: Haye comeback fight on free to air tv
EXCLUSIVE David Haye next fight aiming for free TV - | Boxing News - boxing news, results, rankings, schedules since 1909
“The last fight, it [free TV] worked well, whether it works for the next three or four fights, who knows, but I’m going to do everything within my power to get it [his next fight] on a Freeview channel,” Haye insisted from his gym in Vauxhall. “Dave are definitely still in the game. They did a great job, the marketing side. They only had a week to promote the fight, which is hilarious, and I believe they did a tremendous job. They got a lot of praise from sectors of the media who were kind of sniggering when they first heard of it. Great production, great event and everyone there enjoyed it. I didn’t want to go down the tried-and-tested event route. We’re talking with Dave and a few different possibilities. We want at least seven or eight weeks of promotion from a channel to get the maximum possible bang for their buck. They got 3.2m viewers promoting it for one week so a lot of people might have missed that so I feel that given a good lead-up it could do some astronomical numbers.”
“From a financial side of things, it’s hard for a terrestrial television network to rustle up the type of numbers that a pay-per-view platform could offer or generate,” he points out. “That’s why big-time boxing has, up until now, been solely on a pay-per-view or subscription platform. For instance, if Wladimir Klitschko owns the TV rights to his rematch with Tyson Fury, he’ll look at UK TV and say, ‘How much is ITV gonna pay? How much is Channel 5 gonna pay? How much is Sky pay-per-view gonna pay?’ He’s got no alliance, he doesn’t care how many people [from the UK] watch him, so he goes, ‘Pay-per-view, well when I fought David, there was £10m chucked into the pot.’ I could want to fight on a free channel but if it doesn’t generate enough money to pay the opponent – who may be a big name – am I supposed to lose money on an event just so people can watch it, risking my life and losing money as well? There has to be enough money in the pot to justify the opponent you’re fighting.”

Yes that is what I mean, Haye has a pretty impressive ability to draw a lot of them to his fights, hats off to him he is certainly skilled at that.

Re: Haye comeback fight on free to air tv
I agree with what Haye says in the post Fenster put up.
However Wlad fights on free mainstream TV for the reason that his popularity will bring him further riches after he boxes. Wlad will be remembered as Bruno, McGiugan and Benn are here.
Haye should do the same.

What a stupid thing to say, 'clown'? having been undisputed CW world title holder and WBA HW title holder? Having only lost to the multiple HW belt holder Vlad. If you've got nothing better than to post hate then fuck off.

He was a unified champ but never undisputed! Cunningham had the IBF.

Good point, haye only had 2 succesful cruiserweight world title figths, which is still very impressive but I think his cruiserweight reign gets overrated a bit , it would of been nice to see how he would have done against the polish champs at that time , uss cunningham and huck. I guess we shall never know which is unfortunatley the story of hayes career :(
not that I am a haye fan at all but he looks to have a fair bit of talent and it would have been really interesting to see what he could have done when he was at his best against more of the top contenders .

Chill bro. It's obvious you're a Haye fan and the clown label hurt your feelings.
Still... consider the following. The guy refused to follow the beaten path to the championship challenge, and always felt this strange entitlement to fight only Wlad. This is an affront to every other contender out there that has paid their dues in the HW division. A big mouth and rabid fans doesn't automatically punch your ticket to a championship fight.
Secondly.... the guy wins the trash talking championship over ANY previous opponent Wlad has ever had. Combined!! I for one was excited about the prospect of Haye upsetting the champion, as I've never been a fan of Wlad's. Then comes the actual fight and Toe-gate. All talk.... no action.... and blames it on his big toe. Wham! I become an instant hater. Add to that his mysterious pull-outs with inexplicable eye brow gashes days before a major fight.... and more mindless trash-talking.
You know.... talent wise and definitely power wise he may be right up there with Tyson Fury. Fury didn't exactly burn the stadium down when he beat the timid Wlad. Tyson also talks a lot of crap, for which he gets criticized tremendously. But at least he delivers. He talked a lot of crap about Wlad before the fight (must be a British HW thing)..... but then he went out there and did it. Also, Tyson keeps busy. On the contrary..... other fighters have ducked HIM and pulled out against HIM.
So if someone calls Haye a clown, he's not alone. I'm sure he's been called a lot worse.

Would "self-aggrandizing, obnoxious, loudmouth, deluded jerk" be better than "clown"?
"Clown" is after all technically inaccurate, since Haye doesn't go around with a bright red nose and oversized shoes. The other adjectives, nevertheless.... would seem to be accurate.

Re: Haye comeback fight on free to air tv
Cunningham had the IBF title because it had been stripped from Bell, who was the unified lineal champ, before losing to Mormek who subsequently lost to Haye.
Haye was the lineal cruiser champ, THE man, just like Tyson Fury currently is in the heavyweight division despite not having all the belts.

Cunningham beat a defending champion to win the belt then defended it by knocking out Huck. Thats why Haye didnt want it.

Haye would have beaten him if he wanted to face him but the big money was at heavyweight. I am glad he went up and tested himself.

Also , there's a difference between "facing" and "beating" good opposition. If not, Zab Judah would be lb4lb top 5 now.

I understand that but Hayes opponents were dog shit! Barrett? Ruiz? Harrison? All were about 40 and retired or loads of losses. Valuev was awfull and 46 year old Holyfield did a more convincing job. Then you have Chisora which was a good win but arguably Cunningham also beats that lot.

Cunningham beat Wlodarczyk who had previously beat him for the vacant IBF belt stolen from Bell.
Haye took Enzo's WBO belt and Frank Warren's millions then moved to heavyweight, something he had planned since the day he turned pro. WBA, WBC, WBO, The Ring, lineal cruiser champ.

It's funny, out of those guys you mentioned , I have Chisora at the bottom of the pile along with maybe Harrison. And you can say what you like about Valuev , but he had a 40 odd -1 record , was World Champion and how can not taking the World title be more convincing than taking the World title?
And anyway, your point was that Cunningham faced better opposition at HW than Haye. Where?
