Re: last movie you watched (Flag Up SPOILERS)
Knives Out which is a "who done it" murder mystery film. The film has loads of stars Daniel Craig (James Bond) plays a southern detective, Jamie Lee Curtis (Baps out in Trading Places), Chris Evans (Captain America), Don Johnson (Miami Vice) and Christopher Plummer (legend). It is about a rich family fighting over the money and property of an author who has died.

Uncut Gems is brilliant. It's out on Netflix. The previous movie these people did is decent as well.

I had to look this up it has 7.5 or so on IMDb. I didn’t even know it was on Netflix. I like Netflix but I find it difficult to find what the hell they have. They really have massive content. So far it seems Apple isn’t doing much with Apple TV, I haven’t tried it myself but From what I’m reading it’s rather blah.

Re: last movie you watched (Flag Up SPOILERS)
Watched both Sherlock Holmes movies starring Robert Downey Junior which were fun to watch.
John Wick 1 was silly.

So Kubrick-esque in length then?

Went to rewatchville and exposed my nephews to Taps, Time Bandits and Stand by Me. I don't care I loved them when I was a kid ;D. Wonder about him though he called Stand by Me boring. They'll 'get it' as the years go, we all did.

I have made my son's watch the Rocky films (except 5), Back to the future, Groundhog Day, Goonies and Karate Kid 1 which they enjoyed immensely.

John Wick 1 and 3 are really good action movies, 3 is full on from start to finish.
I watched Parasite last night and really enjoyed it.

Re: last movie you watched (Flag Up SPOILERS)
Lawless (2012) 7.5/10
Superb cast with Tom Hardy, Jessica Chastain, Jason Clarke, Guy Pearce, Mia Wasikowska, Dane DeHaan and Gary Oldman. Based on a true story.
The Last Witch Hunter (2015) 7.5/10
Vin Deisel is not a good actor, but others in the cast such as Michael Caine and Rose Leslie are much better. Nicely directed, good special effects, never a dull moment.
Within (2016) 5/10
Keeps one's attention, and has a good idea for a movie, but the story leaves too many loose ends and the characters behave stupidly in dangerous situations.
Occupation (2018 ) 5/10
Somewhat entertaining in parts and has a good cast, but I would not recommend this one. The story has too many inconsistencies and the direction is amateurish.

I still think people including Stallone give 5 a hard time. The music is horrible but with a directors cut and proper music I think you have a fair film. I like that it shows a man learning to adjust to life beyond glory in the face of hardship. He makes mistakes, but learns. It has much more story and depth than 3 and 4. 4 was a 90 minute film with a 20 minute fight, 20 minutes montage and 14 minutes James Brown/Creed dying. The worst one for me. Nothing there.

Saw the Aaron Hernandez documentary on Netflix....absolute insanity

A death at a funeral, British version, was funny.

Re: last movie you watched (Flag Up SPOILERS)
Instead of watching TV, I often watch a movie after getting home from work and having supper.
Annabelle: Creation (2017) 7/10
Well-written with a good cast.
Sobibor (2018 ) 7/10
Good locations and direction.
Devil's Gate (2017) 6/10
First part was very good, went downhill in the second half.
The Crucifixion (2017) 7/10
Very nice performance by the main actress.
The Bling Ring (2013) 7/10
True story, realistic and comical.

John Wick 2 and 3 are silly. Just like Matrix the 1st was good and they go and spoil it. There is going to be number 4? Madness.

Watched the last Star Wars movie, Rise of the Skywalker and it was OK.
The story really did not make much sense but it had some memorial funny moments and good action scenes to make me care to watch it to the end.

Been meaning to watch this. It's on the list.
Watched Abducted in plain sight. Just bizarre. I was expecting some sort of phantom vanishing out of the blue. Yeah it wasn't that.

Oh my God how fucking naive and gullible can one family be?!?!? That dude just manipulated the shit out of all those people. I mean hell yeah I feel bad for them, but at the same time I'm thinking ARE YOU INSANE?!?!?! Why are you allowing this predator to drag you like this? As the great philosopher George W. Bush once said...

Re: last movie you watched (Flag Up SPOILERS)
Watched Ip Man 3 which had Mike Tyson in it and some of the best martial arts action in it that I have ever seen. The main storyline was overall weak but the side stories were more interesting and moving.
Ip Man 4 was when he was older and had the character of Bruce Lee in it. Ip Man got hit and hurt more as he has aged which made it more real. It had more shorter fight scenes in the film but not as good as the other films.

Re: last movie you watched (Flag Up SPOILERS)
Van Helsing which is an old film now 2004 starring Hugh Jackman and a hot Kate Beckinsale was still very good and not dated.
The Secret Life of Pets 2 is very funny and worth a watch.

Re: last movie you watched (Flag Up SPOILERS)
I need to line some films up.
I wonder if some films that were due for cinema release may be released to stream etc like they have with Invisible Man and The Hunt. 16 quid doesn’t seem too bad.
Wonder if they released Bond film for 25 quid how many households would pay ? They won’t because of the illegal streaming but this will be the future anyway.
I’d pay it for a cinema film I wanted to see.

Re: last movie you watched (Flag Up SPOILERS)
The Hunt - funny satire about lefties and righties and social justice warriors and what not. Without the political aspect it's a fun killing spree type film as you don't when and where anyone is getting popped off.
-
Re: last movie you watched (Flag Up SPOILERS)
Frequently Asked Questions About Time Travel which is a film about ....time travel. There are 3 friends out drinking at their local pub, 2 nerds and a sceptic, who go on an adventure together. Has good funny jokes in it.

The movie wasn't as bad as some were saying.
The movie ridiculed both the far left and the far right, both of which were all killed by the end. The heroine is neither, the people who wanted to kill "deplorables" confused her with someone else who had the same name.

Transformers 2, silly but Megan Fox is just awesome and can watch her all day.

Watched About Time again which is another time travel film which is set in England. It is clever, witty and moving.
