Re: Fury v Wilder - Staples Center, Los Angeles 1/12/18
Tyson Fury was born with the beast in him. It comes out at key moments in time, like this. He is going to shock the world which is at best giving him a points decision that will "stink out the place". Rather, he is training grimly and with resolve for something more impressive.

I'm excited for this fight, I will watch it if I can.
However I will not be paying PPV money for the privilege.
Scary looking at Tyson's earlier fights, also questions about his motivation and mental state.
No mistake, this is not going to be fight of the year.
Re: Fury v Wilder - Staples Center, Los Angeles 1/12/18
I don't want none of this "points decision" Michael Jackson moonwalking backtracking from the 1 million 7th round KO predictions.
That's already cast in concrete.

Classic Fury describing when he asked AJ to step outside and have it on the cobbles 😁
“I know you have to possess balls of steel to step in the ring with Tyson Fury and they (team Joshua) don’t. They possess fannies, they possess m****s. He seems pretty spirited doesn’t he? But when I stood face to face with him and asked him – do you want to get outside (and fight)? His a*** started flapping like that. He s*** himself. It doesn’t matter what weight I was at the time. I wasn’t in shape but I would have taken him outside and slit his c*** right in. If a man said that to me I don’t care if I was unfit or not he’d be outside and punched. He’d have to fight. Simple. I don’t care who he is or what he is. I said that to him and he didn’t want to know.”

It's from this interview with Brendan Schaub.

He is very likeable. Makes me want to see him win. But I want Wilder to win too. Just a really good fight.

Mark Anthony Barriga is supposed to be on the undercard in an IBF miminumweight title fight.
Re: Fury v Wilder - Staples Center, Los Angeles 1/12/18
Fury is definitely smart and admitted that beating Wlad was a boxing lesson. He did it far more intelligently than Joshua but it was boring. I think he will choose boring against Wilder as he lacks real pop and Wilder can be outboxed. It's a curious matchup and could be a bit dull, but the tension will always be there with you wondering if Fury can keep it together over 12 or if Wilder will land the bomb and windmill him. It is fascinating.

Hearn wants to negotiate terms for an AJ-Wilder fight before December 1st? GTFOOH. I think the dude's feeling a little butthurt that AJ's out of the heavyweight limelight if only temporarily, as the Wilder-Fury fight looms. He's also nuts if he thinks Wilder's team is going to distract themselves from the task at hand. And if..... Wilder were to wipe the floor with Fury..... Hearn's claim that the terms depend on how good the fight did are bullsh*t. If Wilder wipes out Fury, the subsequent Wilder-AJ fight will need no promotion. It'll sell itself and if Hearn decides to play footsies with Wilder, it'll be looked at as an excuse not to face Wilder. Not that anybody would blame him. ;)
Re: Fury v Wilder - Staples Center, Los Angeles 1/12/18
I heard Fury's VADA testing has been negative which is great news.
Re: Fury v Wilder - Staples Center, Los Angeles 1/12/18
It's being reported they've sold just 7000 tickets.
7000!!! These clowns have zero fans outside the boxing world. For perspective, Whyte-Chisora sold double in one day!!!
Hope not but... an "injury" pull out is coming.
Re: Fury v Wilder - Staples Center, Los Angeles 1/12/18
Fury is in a difficult situation.
He probably can't win on the scorecards in Wilder's home country, and he's not a big puncher. And there will likely be a dodgy California referee like Jack Reiss helping Wilder.

If Fury can get a decision in Germany, he can get one anywhere.
