Previously...on LOST!

Charlie had to die because had he let the door open,Desmundo would have died too ergo no-one to warn the group. As for re-watching seasons,I've done it for them all and noticed small things(such as Chrisitan and the white shoe in the tree in EP 1) but nothing major. Here's why I think more than 6 got off:something I posted a few pages back:

1.) Jack
2.)Hurley
3.)Kate
Those 3 are self explanatory
4.)Claire and AAron-I believe Desmond's visions plus there are some peeps that benefit from staying on the island,Cliare is not one of them.
5.)Desmond-He has to meet Penny at some point,would be tragic if they didn't meet.
6.)NO IDEA.
7.)I think a seventh came back,Michael. It's the person in the casket of Jack's Flash forward.

I'd like to add a point here,the survivors are known as the Oceanic 6 right? They seem and from what has been said,actually are celebrities to some people. Soooo.... in Jack's FF,when he went to visit the casket of the dead person,why was there no big deal about this person? Was he not of the Oceanic 6?I say so because if they were celebs,surely more would have been made of the death?Look how famous Jack/Kate and Hurley were.

My guess is maybe a person from the island made it back,no-one knew about him,and he died.I'm going for Michael. The black neighbourhood in the scene and the camera on those big blac dudes was a give away imo.

You're forgetting about Sayid. We know already that he made it off, and said he was part of the 6.

I still think it was Sawyer in the the casket. I think Michael is to obvious, since they showed the black neighborhood, and everything. No one came, because we know that Sawyer's parents are dead, and he always makes such a deal about looking out for only himself, and that he doesn't get attached to anyone, and I don't think that he would want the fame, so maybe that's why no media attention. Plus, who knows which name he used when he got off the island. He might have used Sawyer, but when he died, they used his real name of James Ford, thus no one knowing except for the other 5.

You make an awesome point about Sawyer too.My point is,whoever was in the casket, there were more than 6. Those 6 are celebs, the guy/girl in the casket would be a celeb too but they aren't. Someone else got off the island without being found out. It could be the way you said,using an alias,another identity,like Sawyer(you could be on to somrthing here) But I guarantee more than 6 got off. There would have been alot of media coverage if ti was known that the person in the casket was from the island!They are celebs!

That was my first thought as well, but then I thought, okay is that too obvious, because this damn show loves for us to have so many different opinions on what is happening, and the explanation is usually something we never think of.

I still think Hurley is some kind of people carrier. Maybe he's storing Jacob inside him and will use his body disguise to get him off the island.

I think at some point he will open like Arnie in Total Recall when he was disguised as that fat woman. Underneath he'll be a huge monster or a polar bear or something

I don't think Ben can be considered part of the 6, since he wasn't on the plane.

I meant to mention earlier, my favorite line of last weeks show, which totally made me laugh my ass off was Hurley saying....

Jack,Hurley,Sayeed,Kate and Aaron thus far.

PLus Ben(who probably is not famous because of his duel identities as can be seen from the passport which Sayid was looking at in the Economist) and the person in the casket,again,I think it's someone from the island who got away due to dual identities or something along those lines.

I cannot wait for the next episode. I neeeeeeeed to see something Jacob related:he is the island's biggest mystery imo because all other theories(some of which are mind blowing) explain almost everything on the island,except him. He's the anomoly and I also think he'll turn out to be very important(or at least I hope so)

This show is getting more and more batshit. The polar bear on an island think seems kind of reasonable compared. Still I liked it. Caught up with both.

If Ben wouldn't be considered part of the Oceanic Six would Aaron?

Anyway I've heard the Jacob thing really won't be tied up till the end of the show. And Michael's definitely back and something about finding out who was in the casket at the end of season three.

I feel like a huge nerd whenever I start speculating on who's gonna be a part of the Oceanic Six.

I really got into this episode... I thought that Desmond was in trouble! :-\

One of the most amaazing pieces of television ever and one of the greatest and most mind bendingly awesome episodes ever. Lost is the best tv programme on earth,bar none and the best tv programme ever created.

Some points:

Desmunod's MIND/Counscious,went back into time. He did not time travel per se. And this fits in with the course correction from Mrs Hawking(in his other mind blowing time episode) that his conscious went back into time.However,as Daniel said,no-one can change the future. So,course correction takes place.Desmond visited Penny,got the phone number but the universe will course correct,so he will still enter the boat race,will still do all the things he was supposed in order to get to the island.

Mr.Widmore's involvement in the bidding for Black Rock artifacts.He obviously knows what they are. Also,when he was washing his hands in the toilet,he used a tissue to turn the tap. Just being hygenic?Maybe,maybe not.Everytime Desmond went back and fohth in time,he was in touch with some sort of metal(or at least most of the time)So is it some kind of trigger? I have no idea.I read this somewhere and just though it was really interesting!

The fact that the Black Rock,from the 1800s involved a Hanso. Alvar Hanso was a leading figure in the creation of the Dharma Initiative. HIs father/great grandfather was on the Blackrock? Is his father Jacob?Certainly feasible.

Minkowski!!He was so cool! Yet he suffered because of the island and curiosity and is now dead!!! Also,there is ALOT of discord on the Freighter. Frank and the 3 who got to the island seem to be a seperate group totally from the freighter folks,they just maybe working together for necessity sake.

Who damaged the radio communications?Michael.Why?Ben's orders.Sabotage the freighter equpiment so they can never get into contact with the island. Who left the door open?Michael.Why?Compassion for the people he used to know on the island.

I have a theory on Jacob.Not on who he is but what happened to him. He's the first person to ever to get to the island.He's been exposed to HUGE amounts of radiation and electromagnetism and was trapped some how.Now he is trying to escape.The details,I don't know but he maybe searching for a constant.

I'm absolutely totally loving th direction the show has taken.The mysticism is till there,the mythology but so is science.Like John and Jack,both co-exist.Amazing amazing watch,reeally awesome!

Do they really think that we don't already know that the spy on the freighter is Michael??? Geez, just show it already, we know!!!! :mad:

I was kind of studying and watching at the same time so I might have gotten the wrong impression but last night's seemed a bit forgettable, at least compared to the rest of the season. But I wasn't totally paying attention so could be wrong.

And seriously with the Michael thing. It almost makes me think its somebody else considering the Lost crew couldn't possibly think it would surprise anyone if it was Michael.

Yeah, this weeks episode didn't even come close to last weeks episode. All they did, was confirm things that we had already suspected or figured out.

That sucks that they are delaying the show for you! :mad:

Excellent episode. Not as good as last weeks but it was never going to be as good. As you guys have mentioned,they just confirmed alot of things but stilll....at least we know for 100% it's Widmore.

A few things though:

Widmore wants the island.He sent the team to go in and get Ben?Why ONLY Ben and where does this leave the rest of the Losties?

Ben is CEARLY trying to make John his ally. However, whoever he has on the freighter has clearly impressed John because Ben was waling around to his new room at the end of the episode(that was awesome!)

I want to know fht woman,the therpaist was a ghost,or the smoke monster in human form and if so,how did Ben control her,as she said it was a message from Ben?

Finally,who was filming Widmore? At the end of the film,he looks up,to see someone filming,who was it? There are WWWAAAAAAYYYY too many gaps in Ben's story. Widmore wans peeps to come to the island and look around? I don't think so. There must be something else. We'll see. Good stuff.;D;D;D

I agree, I don't like Michael either, but as you said they might switch it up on us, and it might turn out that Michael is actually the good guy, and that he not only had to do this for Vincent, but for all the survivors as well. There is probably a lot more to the story than we know.

Yeah, it's funny that they brought up the plane, and dead bodies they found in the ocean, I was just talking to a friend about that today at work, and we too, wondered where they got that many bodies to use for the cover-up.

It sucks that this is going to be such a short season. :mad:

Answer me this:how could one of the WORLD FAMOUS Oceanic 6 die and no-one even know about it and no big funeral etc. They are celebs,all of them. My theory above explains it all.

It was a really good episode and remember this,the captain is far far far more important than they are letting on. The way everyone listens to him without fail etc. A powerful guy indeed.

And I still maintain that a huge chunk of the storyline is missing. It's not simply a case of Widmore v Ben.That I can almost guarantee.

Hmmmm.good episode but not as good as I thought it would be. The most intriguing part was the island not letting Michael die? This fits in with John being told he has work to do when he was about it die and Jack's dad telling his son he has wor to do when he landed in the bamboo trees(first rpisode of Lost and Mobisode)

I CANNOT believe that Rosseau died?!?! Did Ben set it up or was it the freighter folk with their guns? I thought it was Ben,the way he was looking at Karl when he had his arm around is daughter(who looked GORGEOUS in that episode!)

IF it was Ben that set it up then it leads credence to an idea that Ben has become proficient in a skill which no-one else has:time travelling/spectral travelling or something like that. How else would whoever shot Rosseua and Karl know they were coming?How would that woman in Juliet's episode be able to say she is delivering a message from Ben?

I've missed two episodes in a row now, might just pack it in and wait for the DVD's. Sucks.

Oumafan,you coward,have you seen the eps?! Traitor!!! I feel some parts of this season have been AMAZING but others,slight dissappointments. I mean the last few eps just went over old ground with the odd new thing but I don't like how they keep repeating the same thing over and over:Widmores boat,they want Ben etc etc. It doesn't advane the story and gets frustrating. However,the good episodes have been mind blowing so I'm not as harsh as some have been. I think I miss Jack and John intercation and episodes. and we still no next to nothing about the few freighties or the 4 that landed on the island.

Also,because they won't be able to anawer everything,I think they cut Rossuea out of the story! I'm scpetical as to whether we will ever find out anything eles about her whoich would be dissappoitnig. Sorry about the typos,I'm in a rush!

Thing is my computer at home is fucked and I don't want to pay the money to fix it right now as I'm waiting for my income tax refund which I figured I'd use on that.

So I'm only on here at work now, or school from time to time, and its one thing to post but its another to put on headphones and watch hour long episodes.

I've meant to just go to a friends and download them, burn them, and then watch them but I just haven't gotten around to it yet. Not worried, I'll see them before the new ones start back up.
