Going from the comments on this site I was expecting him to look way worse.
Ivan Dychko: Klitschko is much better than Wilder
http://boxingnews.com.ua/en/news/224...ruche-uajldera
Promising Kazakh heavyweight, two-time Olympic bronze medalist Ivan Dychko (7-0, 7 KO) shared his impressions of being in training camps of former and current world heavyweight champions – Wladimir Klitschko and Deontay Wilder.
On sparring with Klitschko: “I sparred with him in June of 2016. It was really great experience. I’ve participated in the 2012 Olympics, and if I had to compare at that time which is was more valuable to me - to be Vladimir Klitschko’s sparring partner or to participate in Olympics — I’d have chosen that it was better to be Klitschko's sparring partner. He is great, he is a legend, he is a champion of all champions. I always wondered how much I would pay to train in the camp with Wladimir Klitschko? And then I had the opportunity to train with him and get paid for it"
On sparring with Wilder: "I expected him to be better. I always compare (other boxers) with Wladimir Klitschko. Because after Klitschko’s camp my emotions were overwhelming. At Wilder's camp, I was like: “Oh, OK, and that’s all?” When we started sparring, I thought I would need to take his brutal right hand. And he did something... He has some skills, but I expected more. Sometimes I started to take it easier in the sparring with him, but only at the request of his trainer. His trainer told me: “Do not force up, be simpler”. So I let him to win our sparring on points. You need to know the specifics of this work. If I, an unknown boxer, would came and beat the champion, he would have begun to doubt himself. Their task is to prevent this. It happened when I beat Luis Ortiz in a sparring. If we compare Klitschko and Wilder, Deontay isn’t as good as Klitschko was, so it was much easier for me to box with him. Well, the training camp itself was organized worse for the sparring partners, for the fighters, and it was cheaper. In my opinion, I can beat guys like Wilder and Ortiz. I don’t even need to learn anything new to beat Wilder."

Eddie Hearn told US reporters he could offer Deontay Wilder $15 million to face Breazeale/Whyte/Kownacki next, so long as he signed to face Joshua (with two-way rematch) afterwards. He added that Wilder doesn't need to sign a co-promotional deal to fight on his DAZN shows.

Joe Joyce is now scheduled to fight on the Deontay Wilder undercard on May 18.
Results from today's heavyweight fights:
Lucas Browne defeated Kamil Sokolowski by UD (in a close fight in which Browne was knocked down).
Tom Schwarz knocked out Kristijan Krstacic.
Agit Kabayel defeated Andrey Rudenko by UD.
Tom Schwarz is impressively powerful, he's thuds away with every shot, hurting the git through his guard too. Pushed him around very easy too, looks to have some poor technique though with anything that isn't jab straight but wotever he's fun to watch at this level, I hope he makes a nice living, I dint think he'll have big success though.
Oleksander Usyk vs. Carlos Takam and Alexander Povetkin vs Michael Hunter are in discussions for May.
Povetkin is not fighting Usyk next.
Murat Gassiev is moving to heavyweight and signing with DAZN
Wladimir Klitschko has been offered a DAZN deal to come out of retirement
I’d laugh my ass off if Wilder lost to Brezeale. Not likely, but it’s not impossible either. Guess he’s a mandatory or whatever? Hard to sell that any other way. Nothing against Brezeale, he’s got heart, comes to fight and has rebounded a little bit, but he shouldn’t be in a title picture imo.
