If Dirrell didn't act as if it hurt him and just stood up, then there would've been no DQ. The ref let all the low blows slip, because they didn't really affect AA, so why not do the same with this, admittedly idiotic, punch.
Stop this BS right now.
He took a very good shot while he was down. If he got right up, he would just be woozy and off balance and end up getting KOd for real. What is so hard to understand about this?

Was Direll out cold tonight? Acting or not he was laid out. Taylor was out aswel. Maybe Froch will be the 3rd guy to taste the power.
Laid out by a punch that didnt count.... therefore rendering the whole comparison as just wrong.

Ref could've given him a break, like he did when he attended AA's cut ...
If, like many people say, including me, Dirrell _did_ fake, then he wasn't really hurt, so there would've been no woozyness either.
edit: Anyways, Dirrell does deserve the win, he was the better fighter for 10 rounds, but I'm still upset over the outcome. I think AA will be a better boxer after this and if they'd have a second fight, he would knock Dirrell out.

Did you see the shot? (rhetorical question here)
It was a very good shot, which Im pretty sure totally took Dirrell out of any game plan he would have had left at that point. The only thing he could have done after getting back up, is very likely just get KOd.

NinjaSpy first rule of the forum is logic is unfortunately not that prevalent.
Re: Abraham - Dirrell fight thread
If Dirrell wouldn't have acted AA might have indeed gotten away with only a point deduction, but if you make an intentional foul you have to reckon with being disqualified...anyway I think AA was getting to Dirrell and may have been able to force the knock out and Dirrell was feeling it too and thats why he did what he did...

The fact is everyone Arthur has faced in super 6 so far has ended up knocked out cold.
Re: Abraham - Dirrell fight thread
Abraham is the one to blame for the way the fight ended whether you think Dirrell was going to win or Abraham on TKO....
You just cant hit someone when they are down, its not like Art hit Andre when he just went down, say on the end of a combination, there were a few seconds that went by where Arthur was just standing above Dirrell and than he just threw a punch out of no where.
Just a crappy way for a good fight to end for both guys....and us fans as well....

I expect him to get the hat trick against Froch, he won't be nearly as hard to hit as Dirrell was. You've got to hand it to Abraham and his power punches though, to see it once against Taylor is impressive but it's rare you see somebody win two fights in a row with stunning one punch knockouts.

3 fights in a row. He put Orals lights out aswel.
The Froch fight isnt in Amercia either so Arthur wont have to worry about another corrupt night of officiating.

NinjaSpy first rule of the forum is logic is unfortunately not that prevalent.
Second rule in every forum is that replies that don't contribute _at all_ are still worse :)
Anyways, AA made a very bad decision by throwing that punch and the referee is an idiot.

I forgot about that one. That was the best of the three. If he gets Froch the same way it'll be a Super Six hat trick and four in a row. :)

Ah hell I missed the whole thing I had to cover some local show
