I watched Schindler's list last night and thought it was very good. I won't say it was enjoyable though as people here would no doubt get the wrong impression.

The cinematography is fantastic and the excellent performance by Ralph Fiennes as SS officer Amon Göth is very chilling.

It is great, but very hard going sometimes. The brutality, horror and sheer insanity and pointlessness of it all (the holocaust) is hard to endure as a viewer. Ralph Fiennes was great, but like you say so cold shooting away at people like a kid picks away at ants. It amazes me how people can become so detached and just treat life like that. To a degree Schindler is the same in just looking for slave labour, but in him we do see the transformation and him breaking down at the end saying he should have saved more was touching.
A powerful film.

I also watched 12 angry men, but wasn't sure if anyone would have seen it. Basically a murder trial and the twelve jury members discussing the case to collect the verdict. It's really good. Different types of character such as your liberal and your conservative and your racist and so on, all mixing in their views. I found it fascinating.

This is a classic black and white movie, they all start by thinking it was an open and closed case that he did it but one person questions it, a bit like Gandolf and slowly changes the minds of the people. :)

There is a slight difference here in Saddoworld however. You try changing minds and all you get it someone saying that you said a racist thing in 1865 and ten other people calling you a cunt. :-\

I think we're finished
Yeah I was disappointed too. And that new guy (Jeremy Renner?)... I've seen him a few times, I think he's not much of an actor.
re: last movie you watched (Flag Up SPOILERS)
Wanderlust - Fucken hilarious... Oh shit! Still laughing at some of the stuff. I think it was only in selected theatres. Well worth the watch at the movies.
re: last movie you watched (Flag Up SPOILERS)
Woman in black, not bad, bit scary, but also a bit grim:-\ worth watching .
re: last movie you watched (Flag Up SPOILERS)
Hide and Seek - Dakota Fanning plays a looney kid who is emotionally and intellectually superior to her peers and elders (same as any other film she's in) and manages to convince her dad that he's her killer imaginary friend.
The Good - Bob De Niro realising that he is Charlie and negotiating the rest of the movie with a series of grunts and moans.
The Bad - They killed Elizabeth Shue off too early. At the very minimum she should have got um out before being snuffed out.
The Ugly - Noticing Dakota Fannings midrift when she's trying to open her bedroom window and knowing that Bilbo has almost certainly spilt seed over this moment.
