guess we'll agree to dissagree mate but just for the record i never wrote Barrera off... i picked him to win against Morales in there first fight and i think he did just not on the score cards ;)

CC, Wacks for the DRBR...it is a late CC because I could not bear to hear the result of this bout.
All I will say is that it was a fight that didnt upset the odds. Pac was awesome and but a stoppage that early was a surprise. Morales did fight kamikaze style though. Aint no denying this. It made it end so early.
Im siding with GAME here. First off, if Barrera gets back in with Pac then he is a brave man. Second, he wont go to war in round 2. Thirdly, he has the all round skills to upset Pac.
I want this fight next....Barreras final year swansong must take place! :)

why do you think this fight aint happened Pac wants it he'll fight anyone even the avoided one avoided the rematch.
you can make a case for the distractions in there first fight and the metal plate in Barreras head but that just dont wash with me because Barrera has always had his rematches on fights lost straight away.
but not against Pacquiao and that speaks volumes to me ;)
The only rematch he had str8 away after lossing was with junior jones.. first loss to morales, he fought 5 times (nas being one of the,) b4 he met morales again... and second fight after he lost ot pac he beat morales, who then went onto beat pac the next fight. Maybe beating te guy who bat the guy was enough for him - for then.

Well let me ask you this . How do you compare the condition of Barrera in the Pac fight to that of his condition against Nas. In 1 fight he was toned and in the other he was flabby . I wont say which 1 was which ;)
It makes good business sense to keep the fight on the boil so he gets more $ for it rather than going in with Pac when people just saw him get skooled by Marquez . Barrera knows what he's doing and the fact that so many people are jumping on the Manny bandwagon now , Barrera stands to gain more props when he does beat the Flip fighter . It will make perfect sense , you just havent seen the completed picture yet .
If anyone else had done that to Erik , everyone would accept that the Mexican is washed up but as it is they want to belive Manny is the second coming . You'll all coem crashing down to reality when Pac mixes it with a ring genius like Barrera . I also think Marquez has and will beat him and Guzman stands a decent chance . Lets put last night into perspective and move on . ;)

OK my mistake i keep on forgetting he got the nod in the first Juarez fight but he did have to chase a reluctent Morales up the weights to get it... but he wanted it ;)

Before the MAB vs. NAZ fight unvailed JMM offered to fight NAZ and NAZ turned it down. JMM then turned around and offered to fight MAB and MAB also turned down the fight....
The IBO belt was vacant at that time and JMM had been accepted to fight for the title..... JMM has just had bad magnmt. and bad luck.... I mean whens the last time a fight has been on again off again 3 times??????

I mean within days of the NAZ offer he turned around and offered to fight MAB.... Luck fo the draw I guess, we'll see what 2007 brings him... To be honest as of late hes been getting hit too much and his defense is worrying me hopefully he can beat Jaca in style sat. 8)

As usual, I've got the pre-fight analysis of the fight almost to the tee! So here's my post-fight thoughts on this fight.
I stated on my main analysis of this fight on page 5 here at the Wacko's, that Erik would be going for an all-out attack aiming for a KO, and on page 6 I've stated that he was definitely going for a kamikaze attack which he did. In fact, I warned Mr. Roach on my thread at Pacman's main website the Pacland with the titled 'Mr. Roach, beware of Erik's kamikaze attack!'
But why did I make such a bold prediction? It's because I thought Erik knew he would not be able to withstand Pacman for 12 rounds (although if he ever did, I think he might have won by a decision). Why? 1st, it's because he just can't stop Pacman's punches, it's just too fast for any boxer more so at this time. It's not, as E. Stewart puts it, 'no defense at all,' but it's simply because Morales can't see it coming - that's why he got hit over and over again. Pac's 123 combos are the fastest today, which he can complete in less than a second with a head jerking power. (Imagine something coming at you in 3 rapid succession in less than a second, do you think you can stop it?) And second, Erik has shown to have a naturally weak legs, especially during a long, gruelling fights; remember he went down on his knees on the 1st Barrera fight? and also during his first fight with Pacman, I saw his legs struggling on the 12th round when he foolishly went showboating. Therefore, Erik has no chance except take his chance and go for an all-out attack and aim for an early KO, which he did. But I knew if he did, he would be facing the wrath of Pacman at his strongest stage in a fight, which I think is around the first five rounds. Remember Pacman retaliated heavily on the second round of the second fight almost sending Erik to the canvas, believe me that was no fluke. So I thought if Erik forced Manny to an early slugfest, he might be a goner much earlier. That's why I said on my 'last thought' on page 9 that 'I won't be surprised if the KO came even earlier this time' but I didn't imagine it would come so soon; I actually thought it would be at around the 6th round.
And finally, I boldly stated on page 5 that when motivation (Erik) clashes with confidence (Pacquiao), confidence usually invariably wins. That's because there will always be a fear lurking somewhere deep in Erik's mind that he can go again. You all saw how unlike his usual self, he gave up early this time; that's simply because he feels, and rightly so, he can't win.
That's it folks, I hope you learned something here and believe me, this Pacfan - as foolish as he may seem most of the time - knows his boxing.
