Thurman is less impressive as he fights better competition (obvious I know). The problem is that he just doesn't seem to know the fundamentals. He boxes like Roy Jones but without the inhuman athleticism. Thurman is very athletic which is how he gets by, but he isn't Roy Jones athletic.
This may be a good time for Crawford to push for a Thurman fight too. Move up in weight and take out the unified champion. Crawford would destroy Thurman.
Had many of the same thoughts/observations that you made. Spence destroys Thurman and Garcia if they ever fight him. Danny is very solid, but lacks the athleticism to be the best guy in a stacked division. Thurman has gifts, but isn't a fundamentally sound fighter, and doesn't have that special athleticism like Roy had. Spence has better technique/boxing ability, AND I has that special, Roy Jones-esque athleticism on top of his skills.
If I was Pac's advisor, I would have him fight Thurman after Khan. I also would've had him fight Garcia and give him his first loss as well. I would also have him avoid Spence like the plague...

Garcia great chin, Thurman gassing by six round, IF Brook gets past Spence he has nothing to worry about if he stays at the weight, thought Danny lost it more than Kieth won it, old man Garcia shit corner work didn't tel him to put the gas on, we all could see it but not the corner ? stayed up for it with is rare for me nice nights entertainment.

I forgot to comment on this, yeah it wasn't the barnstormer that it could have been, Thurman started really well, Garcia came on late, I've got no problem with the result, I didn't really score it and I tipped Garcia for a points win but I reckon the decision was about right.

Kell is technically very good but I would not say he is super fast. I am glad Kell is taking the fight but he has not fought anyone good since he won the title against Porter

That is the form Kell needs to bring against Spence but that was some time ago now. I will be supporting Kell Brook.

I think a Thurman/Pacquiao fight would be very interesting. If Garcia had even average footspeed he would have beaten Thurman. Honestly I didn't expect Garcia to be so competitive specifically because he is so damned slow of foot.
But Thurman/Pac, both are so flawed technically it would be very compelling. And neither is particularly clever in the ring. Thurman couldn't avoid a fight like he does with those slow of foot. Would Pac foolishly walk into a finishing shot? Would Thurman foolishly try to cover up and allow Pac to tee off.
I'd love to see it.

Honestly I need a rewatch for sure because I had Garcia just edging it. Saw many elsewhere shitting on the fight but it wasn't that bad with contrasting styles and both shifted up. It felt like two fights with Thurman power game early, he looked at peak in 5th! Garcia sat on his hands sponging his best and waited around but had some top notch defense adjustment mid way and short work that got Keiths respect. I don't buy Thurman as some defensive back foot wizard. He looked more prevent-defense with time it out and get away over last half of the fight but he showed good composure. He just gets frazzled late under fire.
