Re: Heavyweight Fight Schedule
oquendo v chagaev could be interesting.. chagaev was never as good as before his couple of injury/virus plagued years and was up to 250 pounds but he is a skilled tough guy, I hope oquendo has something left too it could be an interesting fight and a must win for chagaev if he wants to be relevant again

I always liked ol' Chaggy. I think he could make one last decent run but he needs to get back into the 220s. Like you said, he ballooned up to 240-250 in recent fights. Could be a solid fight if Oquendo has anything left. All of Fres' decision losses have been somewhat disputed. He could never catch a break.

I havent seen oquendo since the weird decision v mormeck but it looks like he hasnt gained a lot of weight and has stayed in good shape, even though he's 40 if he's in good condition he could win I think.. I agree chagaev needs to be around 220 he is no weakling but he's not like sam peter where he could weigh 250+ and just club people around, also he's a bit short with a smaller reach so he needs to be back at a good weight like when he beat valuev and ruiz(I had him winning both fights there), where he can move around easier and use his skills to defeat guys, if he comes into the oquendo fight too heavy I could see Fres being quicker and winning a ud although like I said I haven't watched oquendo for a while..
I'm looking forward to this fight ! I like chagaev too he had a pretty good amateur career, beat savon although his gold medal was taken away after his questionable exhibiton fights whilst he was still meant to be an amateur..... Also he was usually a heavyweight rather than a super heavyweight in the amateurs so 250 is just far too big for ruslan!
