I enjoy those movies and all but to me Sherlock Holmes is not supposed to be an "action hero" he's supposed to be more cerebral which is why I think Jeremy Brett's Sherlock was the best. as a matter of fact, Jude Law was in one of those episodes as a young boy.
I'm eventually going to see Dark Knight Rises, but since I'm off to Baltimore soon I might have to wait until next week. I have been thinking now that Nolan is done with the Batman franchise that the next person to take the reigns should NOT start out with an origin story...everyone knows the origin of Batman like they know the origin of Jesus, enough already. They need to do the 'A Death In the Family' story arch, but keep Nolan's idea of more realistic characters and so on. For example, The Riddler could be a Zodiac Killer kind of mad man, The Penguin a Political Boss much like whom he was actually based (William 'Boss' Tweed the leader of Tammany Hall). But the story line should be Batman & Robin, Robin turns into Nightwing, the new Robin is Jason Todd who works with Batman who is growing weary of crime fighting and Jason Todd is murdered (well it was The Joker in the comic, but it could be by whoever) and this gets Nightwing to come back and be Robin again and Batman has a whole vengence angle in the 3rd movie....but that's as a fan what I want to see.

'tee hee hee, I'm not meant to say/do this' is not a joke. It's on the same level as a bunch of 5 year olds giggling over swear words.

The Artist.... quality flick very solid
re: last movie you watched (Flag Up SPOILERS)
Savages - A must see IMO... I fucken love movies like this. I was a bit skeptic at first but gotta admit it was good.
re: last movie you watched (Flag Up SPOILERS)
'W.C. Fields & Me' - A biopic of The Great Man & his love Carlotta Monti. A very good movie, it shows the not so great sides of his character but the man was a hilarious comic, best of all time IMO up there Groucho Marx & Jack Benny.
'Midnight in Paris' - It's almost as if this movie was made for me. A Woody Allen movie with Owen Wilson as the lead who is engaged and questioning what kind of life he wants to live has romantic ideas about Paris is transported every midnight to 1920's Paris, Dali, Hemmingway, Picasso, F. Scott & Zelda Fitzgerald, Cole Porter, etc make appearances and help Owen Wilson find what he's looking for.

Yeah the origin has been done to death. Good time to bring in Robin in the next one
Gotta say Dark Knight rises lived up to the hype. Tom Hardy had a lot to live up to with Nicholson and Ledeger playing the Batman bad guy guy but his Bain was as a good a Villan as Ive seen. Quite long but the plot was strong and Id pay to see it again
re: last movie you watched (Flag Up SPOILERS)

I feel crushed.
I think we're finished
But taking his place is Jeremy Renner from The Hurt Locker and The Town, who I like as well, so it might not be a bad transition.
I'll be honest, when I saw the trailor I thought he looked the part kicking the shit out of people. I cant help thinking though, he always plays the role of a cock pretty damned well, he must be a cock, added to that he
isnt Matt Damon I dont think Im going to give him a far shake.
I think its too early to be commenting on this, Im still hurting
Well Memphis, I went to see The Bourne Legacy today, and I really liked it. Jeremy Renner plays a different character than Matt Damon, so that was good thing. They did a really good job of incorporating what happened with Jason Bourne into the movie, in order to make a smooth transition. And they left it wide open for them to be able to continue with Jeremy Renner's character as well.
The movie was 2 hours and 15 minutes long, but damn it went by fast, so fast that when it was the end of the movie, I couldn't believe it.

Ice Age 4 a bit too grown up for my liking.

Prick! ;D (Meant for Mick obviously)
I only realised today that Edward Norton is in it as well. Sure to wind me up.
I watched Ted. Funny ;D
Ted goes for a job.
Frank: You think you got what it takes?
Ted: I'll tell you what I got. Your wife's pussy on my breath.
Frank: Nobody's ever spoken to me like that before.
Ted: That's because their mouths were full of your wife's box.
Frank: You're hired.
Ted: Shit.
