It's ok to be short with a short reach and not much of a jab if you wear out your opponent with left hooks to the body. But Hatton seems to spend all his time going for the head. This is OK with Juan freaking Urango but not against a better fighter.
I don't like Hatton myself, but your posts makes no sense. Hatton has a body attack
Infact he's famous for it lol
Re: Just another one of Wacko's Drunken Round by Rounds Hatton vs Urango
This is a much better fight than I expected. Nice. Hatton's winning...but Urango has impressed me.
Ricky "the Hitman" Hatton (41 fights with 30 ko's & 0 losses) vs Juan Urango (17 wins with 13ko's, 1 draw, & 0 losses) Round 8: Hatton jumps back on him. Body shots by Hatton. Hatton combos up top. Urango just won't get the point. Right hand from Urango & Hatton felt that. Hatton's lunging on his shots. I'm a bit impressed that Hatton is boxing so well. Nice combo & a straight right by Hatton. Upper by Hatton Urango took it well. Clench. Right hand 7y then a left & then Hatton combos. Left hook by Hatton. Hatton just moving so much that Urnago can't get set. Left hook by Hatton. Hatton comboing & doing marbelous thing.s RIght hand cracks Hatton. Left hook just misses Hatton. A little more movement...Urango could give hatton issues. THey hold & Hatton uppers againl. Left hook by Hatton & Hatton spins Urango. They clench. Urango holds up his hands...not sure whether he thinks he's winning or he just wants to show that he can hang with one of the best....YES WACKO SAID IT... Hatton is one of the best @ 140lbs.
He fights Castillo like this...& he easts him alive.
Round to Hatton.

Good to hear its getting competitive...i hope that shot to the balls didn't take too much out of Urango.
certainly is a good way to stop another fighters momentum. Thats how he rolled against Tszyu too
Re: Just another one of Wacko's Drunken Round by Rounds Hatton vs Urango
Ricky looking to the ref alot i think hes feeling the pace... im sooo glad he got into shape for this one :o
But lets keep it real...
Urango is unbeaten ;)
Re: Just another one of Wacko's Drunken Round by Rounds Hatton vs Urango
Urango ain't Castillo. Hatton should of had Urango out by now
Re: Just another one of Wacko's Drunken Round by Rounds Hatton vs Urango
Hatton's holding is driving me crazy.
Re: Just another one of Wacko's Drunken Round by Rounds Hatton vs Urango

Are you watching the same fight as I am? All he's doing is winging left hooks and right crosses to the head. I don't think he threw more than 3 body punches the whole 9th round, and those 3 were when they were in a clinch.

Round to Hatton.
Ricky "the Hitman" Hatton (41 fights with 30 ko's & 0 losses) vs Juan Urango (17 wins with 13ko's, 1 draw, & 0 losses) Round 9: Hatton comes out first & is in total control. Urango rocks him with two right hooks & Hatton felt it. He still continues the onslaught. Left hook flush for Hatton. Urango seems more calm & focued. Tie up. Hatton cracks on the inside. Right hand from Urango. Hatton fet that. Big right hand & then an upper from Urango. Hatton holds. I think Urango hurt him. Shoudler to shoudler they are trading. Urango can do nothing here. Hatton keeps it in the middle of the ring & he has Urango. Urango wasnt open ground because he is hurting Hatton from time to time. Hatton jabbing & sticking straight rights.
Round to Hatton. Pace is slowing. Poor overmatched Urango.
Still...very impressed. Thing is...Urango is doing a hell of a job as to what I thought. The score cards will be lop sided...but he's done himself pround as has Ricky. I am impressed with both.

I gave this round to Urango

GOD DAMN!!! Ricky clinches SOOOOOO damn much. Is anybody else frustrated by Ricky's style??? It's always seemed so illegal to me.

Isn't Hatton suppose to levels higher than Urango previous opponents?
