Really Kirkland? I didn't like the 1st fight, but the last 2 were entertaining.
Overall a good night of boxing when you include the NBC fights.
I was annoyed with all three fights. Bad decision for the first, no knockout and underwhelming Golovkin performance in the second and the third guy quit. Vazquez did that in the first fight against Marquez and lost the fight. It's a good job Smoger retroactively decided to count the headbutt.

The decision (draw) in the 1st fight sucked mainly because Martinez should have lost but retained his title.
Golovkin performance could have been better in the 2nd fight, but as far as fights go it was watchable (yet bloody as hell) and somewhat entertaining.
As for Garcia vs. Salido, I wish it hadn't ended the way it did, but I thought it was a hell of a fight while it lasted. I'm never bored or disappointed in a fight when I get to see 4 KD's in 7 rounds.
I also enjoyed the 2 NBC fights, in retro: Ayala vs Stevens and Kovalev vs Campillo were actually more entertaining then the HBO card.
BTW, Lucas Matthysse vs. Michael Dallas Jr., next Saturday on Showtime, hopefully it will be competitive, but I believe Lucas will put a serious whippin' on Dallas.
cheers

i like GGG... he was a refreshing new face to me..and he has power.
even though i thought Garcia would dominate, i didn't know it would be this bad... i found myself rooting for Salido to catch Garcia ,at least once... still, for someone who was dominated like he was, Salido kept at him... no quit in him... the guy went down 4 or 5 times..and he kept coming... CRAZY.

Garcia was punch perfect, great balance and poise.
