They kind of run out of things to talk about after 2 episodes, so the 3rd is usually boring, then the 4th is better because it runs right up to 2 days before the fight.
I felt that the last episode of 24/7 should SOMEHOW include the weigh-in.... Can they get the production done on Friday night?
Can HBO show the weigh-in LIVE on Friday?

The last episode airs Thursday, so they obviously can't show the weigh-in, since it hasn't happened yet.
I'm sure they'll be airing the weigh-in live on ESPNews.

Floyd will end up with a loss or two on his record, there is nothing outside of fighting that he will have success doing.
It is baffling to me the amount of hatred that someone can harbor for somebody they never met, and only see on TV for 30 minutes per week.
Lyle,
You are allowing a "persona" that a boxer/performer created to darken your heart. Please reflect on what you are saying.
Wait till you read what he says in the hidden zones you in for some fun.

Lyle,
You are allowing a "persona" that a boxer/performer created to darken your heart. Please reflect on what you are saying.
I've seen enough of Floyd and I've heard enough of Floyd to have developed an opinion of him as a person.
Now that being said he may just talk trash and gloat about his money to hype himself for a fight or psych the other fighter out....that's fine, but I have never seen a good, humble, nice Floyd Mayweather Jr., I hope there is one but until then this is the persona he has put out in public and it's what I see.
I know full well no one is perfect and I don't expect them to be but Floyd has no respect for other fighters and they put their lives on the line just like him. I am not asking him to be nice and not hit anyone but if you disrespect everyone you have fought and everyone in the business then you disrespect yourself and you disgrace the sport.
So in essence what I am saying is, to Floyd Mayweather there is nothing bigger than himself and that is not a good thing.
And when I say he's not going to be successful in anything other than boxing....that's just what I see. I hear him say "If I risk my life to get money and can afford 10 cars, I'm going to drive 10 cars"....it's bravado and poor personal fincancial decisions and when you mention ENTOURAGE I instantly think MC HAMMER.....sorry that's just where my mind goes....and also guys who have achieved as much as Floyd rarely find the high they get from whipping up on somebody....also extremely few fighters retire undefeated....PROVE ME WRONG
I don't comment on his family or his children but his actions as a professional boxer are questionable. He's a very good/great fighter but his actions make me sick.
Meanwhile guys like Gatti, Hatton, Cotto, and De la Hoya are not as obnoxious as Floyd.
I hope this straightens everything out but if you think I HAVE to like and appreciate Floyd Mayweather Jr as a person to enjoy boxing then you're talking to the wrong guy
Re: The Official Mayweather-Hatton 24/7 Thread
One thing to note:
For all the talk about how Floyd isn't smart with his money... he has managed himself better than just about any boxer in the business.
In the prime of his career, Floyd is not tied to any promoter, or any network, or any sanctioning organization. He doesn't have to do what a promoter tells him or waste his time fighting manadatory contenders that don't bring him big money.
He has made himself a free agent where he can call all the shots and he can fight for only the biggest purses. There are very few fighters that can pull that off. I would say that only DLH has the same type of freedom right now.

...well I must admit that it's an assumption I made....he's a boxer, he grew up in poverty, he has a ton of money now, he has a huge entourage, he lives a lifestyle with lots of luxury.
I have no clue how the guy is going to be in 5-10 years but there have been many guys who have lost that kind of money faster.
Let's get facts straight, I don't wish anything bad on him...(humility isn't a bad thing)....I don't want him injured or poor or anything. I don't like the guy's attitude and I don't like how he carries himself is all, and I am sure I am not alone

With his defensive style he takes a lot of punches on his elbows, and back, and he does hard work outs, but what bothers me is that his training schedule is messed up. It is not healthy to train all night, I know it puts him in a certain mind set, but the human body is used to working during the day, and it gets the best recuperation during the night.
21 yrs... do you study medicine?? did you hear that or did you study that?? just curious
everyone's body is different... pro-goalies peak at 30... its according to natrual abilities... alot of pro basketball players, especially over 6-10 arnt completely coordinated until they are atleast 25 yrs..
as far as power i was in american football and weightlifting and you can train all you want most people's power peak in the olympics are 24 to 30... your bones, and tendons need years to broaden and mature...
the biggest advantage of being 21 is your body repairs better and faster but in different sports there is different times when your body would peak for that sport....
womans gym 15, womens tennis 17, nba 26, nfl qb 28, goalie 30
boxing 140 lbs.23-30yrs....175 lbs 26-31yrs... 200+lbs 28-33yrs...
Actually I read a lot about physiology and taken a few courses, and I have spoken to my father a lot about this and he is a physician.
Re: The Official Mayweather-Hatton 24/7 Thread
Hey fellas,
Well the weigh in obviously won't be on 24/7 but you can watch the weigh in live on HBO. Jus check out they're site for youre times...
Re: The Official Mayweather-Hatton 24/7 Thread
Ive really enjoyed the 24/7 thus far. Hatton has really got my blood pumping...if he can deliver some of what he has been saying he will then Mayweather has a tough, tough night in store.
Mayweather has grated a little. The whole money Mayweather thing is annoying and Im bored with hearing about his mum and dad issues.

They're never going to air a show like that on a Friday night, which is the worst TV night of the week. That's why the shows are purposely on Sundays, and then the final on Thursday, because that's when they'll get ratings.
