Andrade didn't want to remain in the neutral corner because his only shot at punching Bute again was to start fighting from the middle of the ring.
Bute was in no danger as there were only two seconds left in the round and Andrade didn't have time to reach him from the neutral corner. Not only did the referee actually get it right but Bute would have won under any scenario.
