I wonder if all those who said Bradley was ducking Khan still feel that way now. Khan's a good fighter, but he was being a bit overrated, the Peterson fight clearly shows that, it also shows that Bradley is the best fighter in the Jr. Welterweight division.
Yep i still feel that way. Peterson won tonight and i'm not taking anything away from that performance by suggesting Khan underestimated him and got his game plan wrong. In a rematch Khan beats Peterson, and i still stand by my prediction that if Khan ever meets Bradley. Khan stops Bradley, early..with ease. Respect to Peterson though couldn't have gone to a more deserving guy. Post fight Khan let himself down with his whingeing but he is a young guy defending his title away from home and was obviously disappointed. It's a loss. He tried to get all macho rather than boxing and frustrated by Peterson's relentlessness, got real messy and fouled despite numerous warnings. He will be back and has no reason to hang his head.

I liked Peterson's composure, and some of the counter left hooks he'd land in the middle of Khan's flurries before dipping away were a thing of beauty. He seems to have a good craft heart and guts and seems a very likable person.
He seemed to understand Khan's frontrunning mentality and started breaking down to the body early and I wish he'd stayed there with his counter hooks to the body. If he'd done that and used his jab just a little more to setup the right hand he may have stopped him. I don't think it's so easy as in a rematch Khan would win. Khan pretty much put all his cards on the table on Peterson early, and Peterson adapted and kept the pressure up where Khan couldn't deal with it. Khan had success flurrying and then spinning out to run, but he can't do that for 12 rounds with peterson making him miss and making him pay with body shots.
I think in a rematch if Peterson adjusts some of the things he did he may beat Khan very clearly should they fight again.

Was out in town and I managed to stay out until the Khan fight was on, but honestly can't remember too much about it. I'll have to watch it again to get a real handle on how it went.

Did he not fight Maidana then?
Re: Amir Khan vs. Lamont Peterson - Saturday - fight/chat thread
Khan fought some tough comp but he is not as good as people seem to think he is. Like green and cfh saying he own Bradley is laughable he has no inside game at all Bradley would eat him up.

Not really, what's "suspicious" about it?

For what it's worth, I still think Khan beats Bradley. I just think it's a bad style match-up for Bradley.

It's just weird that they've been destroying everyone in there way and had the same trainer and just about everything they do is the same in training and nutritioning. But in there last fight they both didn't look any where as good as theyve been.
Then there's the fight for mayweather next year that I'm sure they both want and is of course going to require blood testing and theres the accusation of illegal supplements. It just makes me think to be honest with you.
I don't know about Khan, but if Pacquiao is juicing he must have some almost fool proof method for not getting caught. I believe you're reading way too much into this. :)
Re: Amir Khan vs. Lamont Peterson - Saturday - fight/chat thread
Khan is actually a Bluff Petterson was not so good, but enough.
Not even in a dream he can box with Mayweather, he will get punches even in the palate ;D (inside of the mouth) People really have a bad memory, but Mayweather is the best, he beat all his opponents making them look bad boxers .He have fought all the good ones and would beat Pack man easily ,just remember how he defeated Marquez.
Khan is only a mediocre boxer, a pretty boy with no chin at all ,and no defence neither for a good boxer, but he was being inflated by the boxing mafia.I am glad he was stopped
