I don't know why you keep posting these links to Freddi's predictions - Freddie said that Vazquez should not fight Rafael Marquez, then Israel took another trainer, and he won twice against Rafael Marquez. He also said, after the fight with (Joe) Calzaghe, that Bernard Hopkins is too old, he should not fight anymore. Then Bernard Hopkins took another trainer and he had one of the best fights of his life, against Kelly Pavlik...
Let's face it, you can post as many Freddie Roach predicitions and comments about worst ever beatings as you like - it makes no difference (apart from to make yourself look a little lacking in perspective) as this will be settled in the ring by the only two people that matter.
You are clearly a Pacquiao fan not a boxing fan.
For what its worth the only prediction I will make is that Manny will not win inside 3 rounds. I actually quite like the guy and think that he is a great boxer but I hope that he loses just to see what you say then.
Roll on May 2nd - it should be a great fight (no matter what Freddie Roach says)!
Roach is a 2-time BWAA coach of the year. He got every right to get in someone's head for the purpose of hyping the fight. Besides, wasn't he dead right about the 9th round KO of Diaz and 8th round KO of DLH?.. He nailed those predictions.

Re: Do you think PAC will inflict the worst beating ever on Hatton?
So you admit that everything that comes out of Roach's mouth is nonsense and only said for the purpose of hyping the fight?
I agree. Thank you very much.

Nope, not everything. It's just that Pac is not a big crap talker, so Roach is doing that for him.

Well Roach is entitled to his own personal prediction for this fight... And that's what PAC also commented when he was asked about Roach's 3rd round KO prediction...
My own personal opinion/prediction is PAC inflicting the worst beating ever on Hatton and KO/TKO Hatton inside 9 rounds... Well if PAC KOs Hatton in 3 rounds then it's still inside 9 rounds and still within my prediction...;)

So since Pac Man doesn't want to talk crap [nonsense/gibberish/hyperbole etc.] Roach is doing it for him. Thus, what you are really saying is that Roach talks nonsense to generate hype for fights; ergo, you just managed to make a statement and then refute it all in one sentence. Congrats on that, lol.

hmmm - Hatton wasn't outnumbered in Manchester, though they were shocked by the amount of Manny fans there. ofcourse he'll be outnumbered in LA or LV for now - they won't be flying over until next month. ridiculous - I reckon inside the arena where the noise will help the most it'll be Hatton fans that outnumber Manny's. He may have all the Filos behind him but how many are going to pay for the ticket or PPV compared to Brits?

Thanks for the info... I thought PAC fans outnumbered Hatton fans in Manchester since PAC just renamed "Manchester" to "Mannychester"... lol ;D
Hope PAC will keep the tradition and will shock Hatton fans once again on fight night...;)
I accept, that Vegas thing still remains to be seen but basing it to the turn-out in every press tour and "meet and greet" from UK to USA, PAC fans has the number...

Re: Do you think PAC will inflict the worst beating ever on Hatton?
Pac has the numbers but the question is - do pac fans know how to make a good racket like hatton fans can? My point is if the pac fans outnumbered the Hatton fans 2 to 1 but the Hatton fans made much more noise for the entire fight then which set of fans is better?
The difference between both sets of fans (in my opinion) is that Hatton's fans are genuine boxing fans and are DEDICATED to following the hitman where as alot of the pac fans (seemingly 95% of the Fillipines...) come across as casual fans who are more interested in the man himself than the sport he's competing in.. riding the bandwagon I guess you could call it.

Re: Do you think PAC will inflict the worst beating ever on Hatton?
Statement: Hatton is obviously irked that people keep asking him whether he can handle Pacquiao’s power after the manner in which the Filipino took apart David Diaz in June and De La Hoya. Pacquiao, he said, should be wary of his power because he’s the natural 140 pounder while Pacquiao started as a flyweight. He was asked whether he believes Pacquiao has lightweight (135 pounds) power. “I don’t want to say too much because I don’t want it to come back and bite me in the ass but, I mean, I would say so.”
Where he went wrong: De La Hoya said flat out that Pacquaio didn’t have much power at 147 pounds; if he had, De La Hoya feels he would’ve been knocked out cold. However, Pacquiao did hurt De La Hoya enough that the Golden Boy had to hold the top rope to remain upright in the seventh round. And, at 135 pounds, Pacquiao pounded Diaz – who is very durable, if little else – into submission. That’s only one weight class below 140. Pacquiao probably doesn’t have one-punch knockout power at junior welterweight, particularly against a sturdy opponent like Hatton. The Filipino does have the power to hurt Hatton if he puts his punches together, though. Don’t be surprised if Hatton ends up flat on his back with the referee waving his arms overhead.
Statement: Ricky Hatton was asked repeatedly how he could expect to cope with Pacquiao’s now-legendary speed and each time he had the same answer: “They said the same thing about Paulie Malignaggi, how he was too quick for me and how he was going to outbox me. And look what happened in that fight.”
Where he went wrong: Many experts did favor Malignaggi in their November fight, in which Hatton won by 11th-round TKO. Hatton’s mistake is equating Malignaggi in any way to Pacquiao. Malignaggi is a fairly quick-handed, capable fighter. However, one thing opponents often say after fighting Pacquiao for the first time is they underestimated his amazing hand speed, not to mention his foot speed. And Pacquaio’s not just a capable fighter; he’s a great fighter, perhaps one of the best ever. Like so many before him, Hatton might be very surprised on May 2.
;D

It's gonna be crazy. I would say crowd will be split 50/50. But Hatton fans will be louder because they're more organized. :)

Why Ricky is so pale?? Is he scared, frightened to realized that he does not really possess an advantage over PAC in terms of size?? ... ;)

Re: Do you think PAC will inflict the worst beating ever on Hatton?
You blind? Pac may have the longer reach but..Did you see the what those stats indicate at the bottom? 152 to 145. Now come May 2 and Pac weighs a couple of pounds near Hatton's weight I will believe you. and look at it again, Ricky is fighting at 140. the fact that Pac can make 129..that alone should convince you that he is the smaller man.

PAC make 129 because he's fighting a 130 division fight... PAC make 142 on his 147 division fight... On this 140 division fight, I'm guessing PAC will be 149 lbs. on fight night while Hatton will be 150/151 lbs. on fight night...

What a great analogy. at 142 he added 5 pounds. then at 140 and he adds 9 pounds? and Pac makes 129 cuz he fought at 130. Makes sense..So that makes him as big as Ricky right? He had the pleasure to weigh a pound less than the limit, 2 notches below his current division where you said he's almost of the same size as a big 140 pounder. Great. Tell me the wonderful formula you used, I wanna learn how you came up with these things.

Well that was PAC 1st fight at 147 and he jumped 2 divisions (from 135) to do that... PAC didn't fully developed his muscle mass yet for higher division fights...
For this fight, PAC is going down to 140 from 147 and been in higher division (140 and up) for almost a year now...

PAC's recent fight night weights were in 148/149 lbs. range while that of Hatton at 150 to 152 lbs... Not much difference...

I thought you've gone home... While you're still here then please read this... another batch of painful readings... ;)
"So Hatton can only opt for one option, while Ricky is strong and fresh he must look for the opportunity to land that one punch as the hyped Pacquiao is coming forward. Hatton must be spot on, he can not miss, he needs to time it just right and let that one knockout punch go. It’s hit or miss for Hatton if he hits he may be able to stop the machine right in his tracks if not we will see Hatton slumped in his corner on his stool battered and bruised not wanting to take any more punishment, sounds familiar."

I beg to disagree. FYI, boxing is a way of life in the Philippines.:cool::cool:
I don't know how you would define boxing fans though.
When Manny fights, the whole country(Phillipines) watch it. Expected crime rate is zero during his fights.

I beg to disagree. FYI, boxing is a way of life in the Philippines.:cool::cool:
I don't know how you would define boxing fans though.
When Manny fights, the whole country(Phillipines) watch it. Expected crime rate is zero during his fights.
I would define a boxing fan as someone who watches fights all the time and who has the ability to discuss a wide range of fighters from different eras, weight classes and nations. I really don't think boxing is a way of life for most people in the Philippines. Of course, there are boxing fans, but most people just know Manny Pac and that is where the knowledge ends. Perhaps they will know the name Morales or Marquez or Barrera, but they won't be able to discuss those fighters in any depth when challenged. Same in the UK when it comes to British fighters, but then I wouldn't describe boxing as a way of life in the UK! ;D

Latest update:
PAC batters British sparring partner...
"MANNY Pacquiao continued to batter his sparring partners and, according to Top Rank promoter Bob Arum, is in high spirits.
“Pacquiao almost knocked out the first guy [whose name he couldn’t recall] and literally the kid was out on his feet. He was ready to go down,” said Ariza, who described the sparring partner as “a real tough kid from England. A big kid, who had to be about 155 to 160 pounds.”
The conditioning expert, who helped trainer Freddie Roach prepare Pacquiao for his fights against World Boxing Council lightweight champion David Diaz and later against Oscar de la Hoya last Dec. 6, said the sparring partner, who went four rounds with Pacquiao, had a good record.
“He was pretty popular because the press knew who he was and they interviewed him in the beginning,” said Ariza, who added members of the media told him the British fighter had “a brilliant winning career, but had hand surgery sometime ago.”
